  1. No problem! Yeah maybe it does sound kinda like a female name, but I've used it on males before so I can't really see it as something one would call a female lol. Besides in my native language the word for "Absinthe" is a male one (words generally have a gender in Portuguese, in English that doesn't happen) so I automatically connect "Absinthe" with "male".
  2. Absinthe’s ice attack had been successful, and so did Bourbon’s confusion inducing sound waves, for Enyo’s relive. Part of her was afraid that for some reason she didn’t acknowledge the confusing move no longer worked. The girl was wondering if she should order her GAOs to gang up on one of the opponent’s creatures when Lionel shouted out his counter-attack. “Bourbon, dodge it!” she commanded the bat, who flew upwards as fast as he could, unfortunately not being able to completely avoid the water jet. “Absinthe, run around and shot water jets at Shadow, make it hard for him to hit you and try to hit him in the process.” She hoped the alligator would obey once again, instead of doing whatever he felt like doing. “Bourbon, get behind Buddy and suck his energy to regain some health.” Getting close to the hippo was a risk, but she was hoping that if the Slowpoke couldn’t see the bat then it would be hard to pin point his location and focus the telekinetic attack. - The moves are Water Gun and Leech Life, just in case.
  3. OOC: Bibarel both my pokemons are male For the first time since the beginning of their training an adversary had been immune to Bourbon's confusion attack. Enyo wasn’t sure if somehow the bat had missed or if the hippo was immune to it, but she decided not to waste time using the move on Buddy again and target the bird instead. She was about to order the Zubat to do just that when the pink GAO used it’s abilities to make Absinthe float in the air, leaving it unable to flee. Enyo had to find a way to release Buddy’s control over the alligator before the Murkrow could land an attack… or did she? She knew how the wing attack worked, Bourbon could do it as well. She couldn’t help but grin while she waited for the bird to get close enough, and then ordered: “Absinthe, bite his wing with ice!”. The alligator would probably get some damage from the opponent’s attack, but she knew for sure the ice attack would hurt Shadow even more. “Bourbon, confuse the Murkrow while Absinthe has him trapped between his fangs!”.
  4. Bourbon had just taken flight when Buddy’s attack pushed the bat against the ground. Luckily the Zubat didn’t fell on his wings, and quickly got back on the air without too much visible damage. Enyo gritted her teeth, felling anguish towards that type of attacks. For what she had seen, there was no way to block them. Maybe they needed to be aimed and quick evasion would allow Bourbon to avoid them? Usually she wouldn’t worry with such thing, and simply attack as hard and fast as possible, but the bat wasn’t capable of such adamant tactics. She would have to take down the hippo to ensure a win. “Bourbon, confuse the Slowpoke, and don’t stand still. Absinthe, go after the Slowpoke too, and use…” before she was able to finish the sentence the alligator dashed off toward the pink GAO on his fours, fangs starting to gain a dark glow. Enyo glanced at General McCarthy, knowing he would frown upon what had just happened. “Come on Absinthe, now is not the time for your whims” she murmured.
  5. With the end of the previous battle Enyo was called upon to take her turn. Her opponent was Lionel, and she knew his GAOs were a crow and a pink hippo-like creature, none of which posed much of a treat to Absinthe. Bourbon wasn’t a good match against the hippo thought, as she had discovered he had more sort of weakness to the telekinesis shebang. Fortunately the bat was way faster than the Slowpoke, so at least she had that in her favor. And if the bird had any affinity similarity with Bourbon then the alligator would have an easy way to deal with him. The Greyjoy walked forward to take her place in one of the edges of the battlefield and waited for her opponent, Bourbon still on her shoulder and Absinthe in their tail, eager for a battle.
  6. Enyo gritted her teeth at Ray’s tone of voice. Even after those six months of intense training she still wasn’t able to completely obey direct orders. Nor did she fare well in the leadership classes. She had once read that a good leader is someone who can empathize with the ones under his command, put himself in their shoes, and that was also capable of receiving orders from people above him, characteristics that she had always lacked. She did amazing on the combat training though, especially on hand to hand combat, which she already had some experience on. She took a little while to get used to the weight and the kickback on the bigger weapons, but once she did she was able to catch up with the excellent performance with the smaller, lighter handguns. Her relationship towards the other cadets had also gotten considerably better, but the Greyjoy knew that if it ever came the moment when she had no choice but to choose between the safety of one of them and her own, she wouldn’t hesitate in favoring herself. Enyo released both GAOs, and after flapping around to get a feel of the area, Bourbon landed on her shoulder. He was still the same frail little thing, but they had worked around the bat’s lack of bulk by coming up with some less orthodox strategies. She enjoyed brute force better than that type of fooling around, but it was a compromise. Besides, the brute force on the team was actually the one that gave her trouble. Absinthe had gone thought the metamorphosis, but that only made him worse. He was now stronger, faster, and way more aggressive. She managed to get him to perform on the trainings because otherwise she would confide him to his sphere, which the gator hated, but making him obey orders was a daily struggle. They were too much alike, and clashed on every single aspect over the past six months. He was a powerhouse though, so probably her superiors decided that having him being handled with difficulty was better than not being trained at all, as she doubt the GAO would bend to anyone’s will. For once he didn’t act up as usual when coming out of the sphere, feeling that something was about to go down.
  7. Bourbon (Zubat): W-0 L-1 Lv. 5 Absinthe (Totodile): W-1 L-0 Lv.8 A win is 3 levels, right?
  8. I guess my char could have a stealth role, Crobat is stealthy little bastard. Most of his dex entries are like "It flies so silently through the dark on its four wings that it may not be noticed even when nearby". Plus he has awesome speed. Gonna check those keywords on google tho.
  9. With a second water shot Absinthe brought the giant down, winning the match. Enyo, who expect the snake to put on a little more fight, stared astonished to the fallen GAO. The Alligator didn’t seem surprised though, so maybe he was aware of his advantage over the opponent from the beginning. Clint looked like the floor had been pulled from under his feet, and he would be an easy target for mockery, but Enyo didn’t said a word to him. She played to prove her strength to herself, and not to others. And at that moment she couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. It didn’t take long until Ray ordered them into the back of a truck, so that they could get some lunch. She called back Absinthe into his sphere and jumped into the transport after the other cadets.
  10. After the rock snake’s surprisingly bad reaction to Absinthe’s water attack Clint ordered it to get underground. The alligator stood still, waiting for the opponent to show up in order to attack it, what was clearly a bad idea. “Don’t stand still, run around so it’s harder for the snake to hit you!” Enyo ordered the Totodile, who after a moment of stubbornness began to move in zigzag. The GAO wasn’t particularly fast, but his members were slightly longer than the ones of a real alligator, so his reptilian movement wasn’t as awkward and slow as his animal counterpart. “Hit it with the water shot again the moment it comes up” the girl said hoping the snake missed the target or at least didn’t cause too much damage.
  11. Enyo raised her eyebrows at the “other snake” remark, but then again, that guy was as much of a street rat as Sid, no class at all. Clint woke up the giant GAO, and then proceeded to brag about his winning streak. “Keep talking and you’ll just a bigger fool outta yourself when you lose this battle” she replied and reached for the alligator’s sphere. She aimed for a patch of grass next to her and released the creature, and with a swift motion dropped her knee on the GAO’s back, pinning it to the ground before it could attack her. Absinthe struggled to get free, roaring and growling in the process. Enyo brought her head closer to the creature, while making sure to stay away from the reach of Absinthe’s claws. “Now listen closely, I don’t know what you’re so frustrated about, but let’s channel that anger, shall we? I’m giving you the opportunity to go all out on that beast over there, you see it? No one has been able to defeat it so far, so bring it down and establish yourself as the top dog around these… creatures” she said harshly and in a low tone of voice, in order to be unheard by the order cadets. The Totodile stopped his futile attempt to get free from her grasp and seemed to be considering the offer. She could see in his face that he really wanted to go against the rock snake, even more than he wanted to dispute his alpha role in their relationship. Because even though Enyo had said that she wasn’t aware of the cause of the alligator’s frustration, she knew it very well: Absinthe wasn’t able to let go of his dominant side and let her control the shots. She would eventually be forced to take care of the situation, but for now channeling his rage towards another target was good enough. “Very well then” she said while getting up and releasing the GAO, when his inertia became long enough to be a synonym of consent “Oh, and by the way, you now go by the name Absinthe”. He glared at her, but quickly shifted his focus to the giant GAO, evaluating it. Absinthe got up on his four legs and spited a shot of water in the snake’s direction.
  12. Bourbon managed to bite the adversary and took flight unarmed, when suddenly the Shinx appeared to snap out of his torpor, and leaped in the air to catch the off guard bat. The GAO was caught between the cat’s electrified fangs, and Enyo didn’t thought it would cause too much harm until Bourbon started screeching in evident utter pain. The bat was fighting to get out of his captors fangs, flapping his wings hopelessly, but the Shinx had him locked thigh. Bourbon was at that point in a total panic state, and Enyo did the only thing she could: called him back to his sphere. The defeat combined with the fact that she had lost to that particular person enraged her greatly, and she turned her back on Sid without acknowledging his victory. As she walked away from the cadet her mind started to claim a way to compensate her defeat. “It has to be something big… literally” she finished with a grin as she spotted the owner of the giant rock snake. If she could defeat the most feared GAO in the group then Bourbon’s failure would be small in comparison, and her pride would be appeased. The problem was that she only had Absinthe as an option… she would have to make it work. The cadet, Clint she thought his name was, was taking care of his small humanoid GAO. “Hey” she called to get his attention “I think it’s time for your snake’s reign of terror to be over. Battle me and I’ll see too it”. That should do it.
  13. Whatever that first move Bourbon had made was it was paying off, as the Shinx seemed unable to do anything but damage itself. Suddenly confident about their odds, Enyo orders another attack. "Bite him hard Bourbon!" The bat opened its jaw wide, and stood still for slip moment in which his fangs acquired a dark vicious coating, and then proceeded to dig them in the cat's skin.
  14. "Really? You can't be that stupid? What did you do to my GAO?" as he addresses Enyo. She had no idea what Bourbon had done to the other GAO, but she would never confess that to Sid. Instead she ordered the bat to get close to the cat and induce some real damage. The GAO followed her order, and for the first time she noticed how fast the creature is. Once near to the opponent, the bat bit him, which seemed to inflict... no damage at all. "God dammit, how weak can you be?" she thought angrily. And worst than the lack of damage, Bourbon was now dangerously close to the blue cat's reach. OOC: Leech life suuucks
  15. Even though the words that came out the cadet’s mouth were expectable from a street rat, the Greyjoy couldn’t help but get ticked off by them. She had always hated street scum. “The name’s Enyo Greyjoy. Bourbon get in there, and you better win this.” she growled back, and the bat flew forward, looking extremely nervous. Enyo had no idea what Bourbon was capable of, so she simply told him to attack. The bat hesitated for a moment and, instead of flying over to the cat and physically hurt it, like she expected, he opened up his mouth and emitted a high pitched screech, which seemed to have a strange effect on the opponent. “What the hell was that?” she thought, wondering if the “attack” even did anything. OOC: The move was Supersonic, and an attempt to make it less cartoonish.
