Watch Lin do just that. For good measure, watch her use a Sacred Ash just as she's down to her last mon.

"This is the power of a God," she'll probably remark.

Seriously. If not Lin, I'm certain at least one postgame trainer will be as unfair as they possibly can.

It'll be Mrs. Craudberry

You use Yawn on the first turn, but you only can bring in Eevee safely after the second turn. Remember that Sleep lasts 1-3 turns, so it's a chance on the fourth move, when Eevee uses its' Z-move, the opposing Pokemon could wake up, and since it's Eevee, it'd be OHKO'd. ESPECIALLY against late-game Boss Trainers, like Lin.

However, by using Teleport in the second turn, Eevee can use Extreme Evoboost on the third turn, in which opposing Pokemon will be sleeping. But to effectively use Baton Pass, Eevee will need to have maximum possible Speed.

That is, assuming Lin won't switch out the drowsy Pokemon, leaving you in rather unadvantegous position if you think she would have her Pokemon stay.

Eevee can learn protect, right?
So would you just Prankster Yawn on a suicide lead, (or maybe an eject button, never once actually used one), send in Eevee and use protect until the drowsy pokemon sleeps. Then you have a free turn to Extreme Evoboost and Baton Pass on the second sleeping turn. The worst that could happen* is the AI consistently switching the drowsy pokemon, then yeah, you would need the Focus sash.

*Or a Dark type lead or a pokemon with Feint.

Sending Eevee on a second drowsy turn is too risky. If it doesn't have Focus Sash (or no luck with Focus Band), Eevee will fail.

Eject Button wouldn't be effective if the opposing Pokemon won't attack on the turn it yawns.

In addition, only Purrloin and Liepard can have Yawn with Prankster... so pray opponent won't have priority attack or...

(My Prankster Yawner is actually a Meowstic in Rejuv at least, but that is neither here nor there)

The idea is for the first pokemon to die to give a free switch in for eevee. Eevee with be in, use protect on the one turn you need to wait for yawn, then the opponent will be asleep.

IF the opponent refuses to knock out your lead, then things get fun. First Purrloin prankster Substitute to survive the drowsy turn, followed by taunt on the guaranteed sleep turn. If the sub was broken, reapply it to survive the wake up round, then once it wakes up, prankster yawn and get killed so Eevee can be brought in.

As I said, if opponent has priority attack, then Purrloin/Liepard faints instantly, unless opponent is slower. Also... why Taunting on the first sleeping turn instead of switching in? Sleep lasts from 1 to 3 turns, so if sleep lasts one turn, and Eevee is brought on after it, Eevee faints instantly if it doesn't have Focus item

Sure, a priority move means a change in plans, IF they lead with it.
The reason to taunt is because you as you said sleep last for 1-3 turns, but only the first turn is guaranteed. If you switch on turn one of sleep, then evoboost on turn two, then baton on turn three, it could work, but... unlikely. Depends on how many resets you want to do.
With taunt, you make sure they have to use an attacking move, thus knocking out purrloin so that eevee can switch in after the prankster yawn, protect during the drowsy turn, then evoboost the guaranteed sleep turn, and baton pass on the second sleep turn. Still runs the chance that they wake up after one round of sleep, but that is better odds at least.
Of course you could always attempt something else with your yawn lead, if they survive the first round. Yawn, sub, sub, baton to another set-up sweeper like Vivillion who can sleep them again and quiver dance.

Even still... give it that damn Focus Sash if something went wrong.

You do remember Eevee can't hold Eevium Z (so it can use Evoboost) and Sash at the same time, yes? ^_^

I would suggest Lagging Tail Togekiss for the Yawn strat. Use Yawn first, then Baton Pass to Eevee. The Lagging Tail guarantees that Togekiss moves second.

Togekiss BP's to Eevee. Any damage you take that turn will only be taken by Togekiss. Then the foe will fall asleep on the turn Eevee comes in.

Now you have a guaranteed turn to Evoboost up. The turn to pass the boosts is not free (you might get a one turn sleep), but whoever you pass to should--thanks to the defense boosts--be bulky enough to survive whatever the foe does. (For extra safety, pass to a Shell Armor or Shield Dust mon.)

I missed the notification sry, but yeah there are a lot of passwords, some of which are on the Patreon so idk if I'm allowed to mention any. I'm sure someone will compile a list as we go along.

It seems as though storming Labradorra City is the first thing we do in E19

image.png(from Dev Blog sidebar)

I'm aware that there isn't really anything else for us to do beforehand, and Hardy did foreshadow it after our battle but it still somewhat rules out any mission/quest we have to do to break/sneak past the barrier(unless said mission doesn't involve battling). Probably has something to do with Florinia's program she has analyzing the barrier that would have finished during our battle with Hardy.

The Labradorra mission will probably go something like this:

1. PC is sent to charge in guns blazing. Grunts are mobilized to intercept us, because PC is Very Dangerous.

2. With most grunts occupied being cannon fodder fighting PC, the leaders take a different, (relatively) grunt-free route into the city to shut the barrier down.

3. Something goes horribly wrong, and PC and leaders get abducted.

4. We must fight our way through the Tournament of Booty.

5. Only then can we take on Pulse Mime, Fern, Connal, Sirius, etc.

Nah, I don't think so! You just got so excited about the prospect of destroying Lin with Evoboost strats that it slipped your mind.

Forgetting basic info due to heightened emotions--it happens to everybody. Don't be too hard on yourself, bud. ^_^

I mean... Who wouldn't be excited about having the opportunity to cheese and sweep Lin at ease? I've also forgotten that to use Special Z-Moves you need Special Z-Crystals.

I keep forgetting that because of how many times I've played ROM Hacks or modes where Pokemon can hold 2 items at once, or they come out already Mega Evolved and still have an item. Which is weird because I do competitive battling on almost regular basis

How so?

Everyone can do that - on Showdown (the official online Smogon site to competitive batting)

I'm not world-class, not even close.

But I can get ahold on my own.

Also... does the ELO Score drop over time? Because I've seen many times that I've had less than previously despite not playing at all. If it wasn't for that, I would have almost 1500 ELO on Gen 8 Random Singles. Not to be bragging, of course

It does. Allegedly, to stop people from just resting on their laurels if they reach 2000 points or something.

And besides, Showdown wouldn't have anything to measure if you stopped playing games for a while.

On another note, I came up with another hypothesis about how the story in E19 might go.

Is it possible that Lin has familial relations with the thief who killed Solaris' parents for the four keys and was killed by Solaris in turn?

I am pretty sure the Tournament of Booty was a one time off April Fool's joke

Ame even clarified that on her Tumblr

As much as I like the idea and the premise, it's unfortunately not real :(
