T-Raz Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Yeah I was NOT expecting Mother Brain to be an Assist Trophy. Then again I was pretty shocked to see Andross as an Assist for Brawl before its release. Quote
Maelstrom Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Yeah I was NOT expecting Mother Brain to be an Assist Trophy. Then again I was pretty shocked to see Andross as an Assist for Brawl before its release. It might not be an assist trophy. It might be a stage hazard that you break the glass container to unleash. Or an adventure mode boss. Oh, that's what the developer's posted it is. =/ Oh well. beats the hell out of nintendogs. Quote
Kaito Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I'm just gonna leave this here. I think I found A new sub. Quote
Shanco Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I'm going to belatedly steal Godot's thunder... HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER Little Mac I think we all knew this one was coming Does this count as picking on someone your own size? Final Smash? This ought to be a real thing Quote
The Fush Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 That isn't an alternate costume, that's his final smash thingy, you silly billy. Regardless, I am hyped; that feinting and countering looks damn satisfying to perform, Quote
Godot Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Fuck ya! My most wanted character and day one main, as expected he shares a lot of simularity to Akihiko and Steve fox from Tekken and persona 4 arena! Lil Mac is a hardcore Rushdown character who rules the ground, once he goes airborne he turns to shit. He has intense pressure and is a bit of a reverse Lucario, meaning that he gets stronger by dealing damage. Mac has a counter, a parry, an armored corkscrew blow, and his star uppercut. Build up his meter like how Akihiko builds up his cyclone gauge and get a massive finishing blow. Also, the final boss in Punchout!! Wii was Donkeykong, I'll post a video of me beating the shit out of him someday, it might make Mael cry =P And the final smash was referred as in Punch Out!! Wii as the Giga Mac. And the idea of meter to get star punch comes from Super Punchout!! Quote
T-Raz Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Dat trailer was really hype, plus there's a guy screaming at you. "Kid, don't get 4-stocked, that's just embarassing." In all seriousness though, I'm really interested in seeing how he'll play out, Quote
The Radiant Aeon Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 You know what struck out to me the most? He went through the Mega buster. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? Quote
Godot Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 That guy's name is Doc, he likes chocolate! Also calling this now, Mac is going to be. Light weight and be really easy to KO! Quote
T-Raz Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I see.=O I haven't played Punch Out before so aside from Lil.Mac I don't know about any more characters from his game. & what up with his Final Smash?=O Quote
Godot Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 apparently that is replacing the heart Container, as stated by Sakurai Quote
Administrators Ikaru Posted February 18, 2014 Administrators Posted February 18, 2014 Oh that's actually kind of neat lol Quote
Godot Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I think the animation of a fairy will be more appealing too, when I first saw this I thought it was a free life or some bs like that Quote
The Fush Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Apparently, you can only use it when you've accumulated over 100% damage. Quote
Maelstrom Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Bowser, a secret fairy enthusiast Only in the same way that I'm a cow enthusiast. Yum.... I don't remember reading in the caption that it was replacing the heart container, just that it was a new healing item that heals a lot (>100%). Quote
Maelstrom Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 maybe heart container will only heal up to 100%? I don't really see them getting rid of the heart container. Quote
Shanco Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I wouldn't doubt it if they did since the Fairy more accurately portrays a healing item's purpose. Quote
The Fush Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I wouldn't doubt it if they did since the Fairy more accurately portrays a healing item's purpose. Nnnnnnnnnnnnah, I'd say they portray it pretty equally. Quote
Godot Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 like i said i think the Fairy is chosen over the heart containerbecause the healing aspect might be animated differently.... also The fairy is more well knowns as a healing item, the heart container increased your max health. lastly the Maxinum Tomato is the healing item that only heals 100% Quote
Administrators Ikaru Posted February 20, 2014 Administrators Posted February 20, 2014 To be fair getting a Heart Container typically healed you fully afterward, but I agree that the fairy is a better indication because technically there's no "health" to increase or heal in Smash games Quote
Godot Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 hence why a fairy bottle makes more sense Quote
