Well that's what the canon is, and due to me being a nut of the canon I just naturally followed it. Fairy tale magecraft is something Nasu said would never work except for one family, so I just automatically followed canon. I didn't have any sort of main character vibe or literally anything of that sort going on in my head when I made the sheet. I am fairly confident that I have the common sense and courtesy to understand that.

I also don't quite understand your point here. Are you wanting everyone to be able to copy each others magic or something similar? I don't see how this would be an issue unless that was the case in terms of roleplay mechanics. So I'm assuming you have had bad experiences with sues in the past or something, but I'm not intending any of that with my abilities. 99% of Nasuverse abilities are completely unique to one race/individual/family bloodline, so its incredibly hard to not do something that isn't "I need to be special". Like even your master should have magecraft that is family specific in a magic crest that can't be used by anyone else even if its transplanted onto another person's body. It's juts super hard to not make something that isn't limited to a special group of people in terms of fandom mechanics sadly enough :S.

Just do it in a way that doesn't sound that way. Even if you know that your magic is like exlcusive to your family etc... don;t say it is impossible for other people to obtain etc... ((even if it true.)) Other Magi might have a one in a million chance to be able to replicate it just from an accident of fate or just very similar family bloodlines or something XD. You never know. ((As with my Master I made in a past Fate RP on here. My Mage could manipulate shadows etc... to create solid objects which she controlled. Not many had a similar power, but I didn't say others could never replicate it. While it was probably a longshot for it to happen it could possibly happen. Just state it this way and I am sure people would understand lol. Also this RP is breaking a bit of Fate's typical rules etc... so there is that as well XD.))

EDIT: and no... I am not bringing Nadia back... at least probably not for the first war if I ever do make a Master for this etc. I Honestly would rather make her into a Servant to be fair. ((I kinda like being just Servants in this, since a lot of my Servants are easy to give a bunch of fun traits that make them seem mad good but be interestingly double-edged swords.))

Discriminatory grail though, rejecting all those Eastern heroes. RIP Kojirou, may you see appearance again not as a complete puppet that literally cannot move more than twenty meters away from a temple gate.

Fair enough. To be totally honest, it's probably just because you're new, so I don't have a read on what kind of RPer you are.

It's also that you're focusing too hard on Fate stuff, Nero. The best way I can describe it is that you're "trying to join a Fate RP, when this is a Reborn crossover RP using Fate mechanics." If that makes sense. Which isn't necessarily to say it isn't still a Fate RP, it's just not going to draw quite so strictly from the canon as you're trying to

Character (Player): Tachibana Yukine (Acqui)

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Appearance: Average in height, with black hair tied back in a ponytail. Typical Japanese facial features, including slightly slanted eyes, an angular, sharp facial construction and thin lips. Her skin tone, however, is a beautiful white that appears translucent in the moonlight, a mark of her mixed heritage. She will wear anything that is convenient, though she is most comfortable in a loose kimono. She has a penchant for wearing revealing clothing, and carries around a plain paper fan that she usually tucks into her obi - if wearing a kimono - or down her cleavage otherwise.

Personality: Cynical. She has glimpsed the darker sides of humanity, and this has warped her somewhat. Her sense of morality tends to diverge from the norm, and she prioritises the ends over the means. She subconsciously flouts her sexual appeal, to the point that even the way she walks accentuates her various assets and brings them into the spotlight. However, she has an unexpectedly sharp intellect, especially when it comes to the analysis and interpretation of body language.

History: Born out of wedlock to a prostitute, Yukine knows not who her father is. All that he left behind when he disappeared was a single tome: a copy of his life's work as a mage, inscribed with Yukine's name on the inner cover. Growing up in a brothel, the management groomed her to follow in her mother's footsteps, providing her the training and examples needed to please any client who may seek her out. Throughout it all, the only companions she had were her mother - who was well and truly subject to the brothel management, and often tried to distance herself from her daughter - and the tome. As she grew up, she read the tome, read it and reread it many times over, whenever she felt tired, or pained, or upset, or overly humiliated. The more she read, the more she learned. As time passed, she would sneak in various moments to practice what she had learnt, calling forth the magic of her unknown father, firing up the Magic Circuits within her body. As time passed, she became proficient at these magics, by no means a master practitioner, but proficient enough to be considered a specialist. Finally, on the night after she turned legal and serviced her first client, she was clutching the book in tears, wishing for someone to confide in; to take refuge in. With a heart of desperation, and a cry of lonely sorrow, the Gate of Heroes was opened.

Skills: Yukine is a Wind mage specialising in illusion magic that tricks the senses. She also has a modicum of experience in self-defensive street combat, as well as a full repertoire of skills tailored towards seduction and peaceful coercion.

Servant: No catalyst used.

I'll do it!
And as a master!

Will finish this up in the morning.

Edit: Donezo!

Character (Player): Janus Abernathy

Gender:Male

Age: 21

Alignment: Low Chaos, Good

Appearance: Tall (6'3" or so), has messily organized hair, no special visual characteristics besides green eyes. Very normal-looking. Almost boring, if you're a pessimist ;D

Personality: Very lively, always seeking to amuse himself, even if it means going against the grain and seeming unorthodox in others' eyes. If he's satisfied, that's what matters. When it comes to competition, he will do what it takes to win through means of sowing confusion and unrest. He will stop if it takes extreme means to win, though.

History: Born from a family broken apart by strife, Janus learned to make due with what he was given. Resourcefulness is his forte; he managed to use the family's separation in order to steal enough to keep him alive. To Janus, what it means to be a friend is to give and give. In return, he will fight for his friends- similar to a mercenary.

Skills: Defense-oriented Wind magic. Few combat skills besides basic self-taught self defense. A clever tinkerer, so Janus can prosper with resources he's given- or stolen.

Servant: Preferably Lancer.

Master Submission~

Character (Player): Illiana Prokofiev (Rosesong/LidaRose)

Gender: Female

Age: 25

Alignment: Lawful Good

Appearance: Illiana stands at 5'8 and is staggeringly thin with ghostly pale skin. She has thick blonde-white hair that reaches the base of her spine with cold, piercing grey eyes that stare from her soft, rounded face. She wears long pants and sleeves, always in varying shades of blues, greys, and blacks. On her right hand, she wears a ring adorned with runes.

Personality: Illiana is shy, never speaking first to those she doesn't know or isn't comfortable around. To one getting to know her, she seems polite to no end and afraid of insulting them. It would almost seem as though she has no spine or will to stand up for herself unless provoked.

History: Illiana comes from a Russian family known for their skill as Wind mages; the Prokofiev line was utterly surprised when the girl's element ended up being Water. At a young age, her parents insisted that she take up Kali martial arts, believing that the fluid fighting style would benefit their daughter as a Water mage. They flew her in a teacher from the Philippines, and she began studying the art for what would later become seven years of devoted practice. She left her family at the age of 16 and began to travel the lands, apprenticing under various Water mages in order to gain proficiency with her magic. While she studied, Illiana came to acknowledge that she had an affinity for healing. As she began her work on her own, her name became more well known to those around; eventually, young Water mages would come asking for her to teach them. However, Illiana never felt as though she had learned enough, and when red tattoos appeared on her neck, she began to feel as though Japan would help her in her quest. She quickly began to make her way to Japan, hoping that she would be able to increase her knowledge and skill in a new environment.

Skills: Water mage that specializes in healing minor wounds. Proficient user in Kali martial arts, both with and without a weapon.

Servant: No preference

Only one issue; the Grail War isn't a widely-known event at this point. The participants don't get much more than mysterious red tattoos appearing on them somewhere (Command Seals) and a strong pull towards a particular city in Japan. Other than that, you're set.

Seeing as there are other characters from Of Shadow And Flame (and other roleplays too!)... I should join too using my character Dexter.

I'll reserve this post for now, as I'll be able to complete the sign up only in the next few days.

With kind encouragement from Murdoc, I have myself a character:

Debronee, the Sabre of Reprisal

Character (Original RPer): Debronee

Classes: Assassin/Saber

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Parameters

Strength: C

Endurance: E

Agility: B (B+ during Flicker)

Mana: D

Luck: C

Phantasm: B

Class Skills

Presence Concealment C

Battle Continuation D

Personal Skills

Eternal Arms Mastership C

Eye of the Mind (True) C

Warpath C (The descendant of two powerful swordclans and the disciple of a prime swordsman, granting significantly above-ordinary swordfight capability)

Bloodlust C (Debronee empowers himself with every shed of blood his blade manages to shred out)

Noble Phantasms

Ring (B, Anti-Unit)

An adept and defining epitome of speed and agility, Debronee excels in mobile, fast-paced melee fighting. Debronee descends open his target instanteously from a short distance and rapidly strikes multiple times in quick succession in a surrounding, oblong motion at an unseeable speed.

Flicker (C, Anti-Self)

Debronee immediately teleports to a specific location. For a short duration after flickering, Debronee gains significantly increased speed.

Holocaust (B, Anti-Army)

Debronee descends from the air, charging towards the ground from a low altitude and creating a tremor that cracks the earth beneath him. A brief duration after, countless, small blades protrude upward from the gaps, eviscerating all in contact.

Yoyo, hi! Hey, I was wondering... is there any place for me here? This is more like an announcement or whatevs, because I've been away from the forums for a while so I feel it'd be crappy of me to just plaster an application here before writing a post before that, at least. ^^ I held the previous not so succesful Fate rp here... oh look, it's down there... good grief, now you can all see how bad it was... Welp, that's that for my introduction, I suppose.

Oh yeah, Imma be a Master, unless the remaining spots fill themselves before I post my application, of course. Which I won't argue against. ~

Froggie out ~

We'd be happy to have you ^^

I'm not totally certain where whether we have any in-progress masters, but as of right now we have room for two more

Also, while it's not necessary, more variety of servants to summon is always nice so if you have any old charries laying around they'd be appreciated

Well... unfortunately, I don't have any charries that could be used as Servants. Sorry...

But I'm glad you're glad to have me. Heheh. Well then, since I'm free at the moment, why don't I just write up an application right away?

Character (Player): Frog (Bfroger6)

Gender: Male

Age: Around 18 years old, presumably

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Appearance: 176 cm tall, weighing around 60 kg, Frog is of average build. His hair is brown and unkept, long enough to cover his ears up, his bangs falling all over his pale face with the cutely crooked nose and grey eyes. He wears glasses and painfully colorful clothes. Nobody likes his fashion style, but they must only be jealous. Like, who wouldn't combine black boots with green shorts, orange t-shirt and a purple hoodie for a summer outing to the movies? R-right!?

Personality: Frog is an odd critter... He is human, yet he claims to be a frog as well. He is loud, clingy, restless... sometimes even annoying, and he is never bothered by matters which don't involve him. Easily excitable, easily bored and doesn't speak much (but when the conversation reaches a topic he has huge interest in, he won't stop yapping). He also seems to be shy in bigger groups, while keeping his nose up high all the while, as if he considers himself to be on a higher level than most others. Appears innocent enough though...

History: No past, no family, no friends, no nothing. Frog is an enigma. Who the heck even is he!?

Skills: Elemental affinity unknown (although, in truth, his affinity lies with the Void), mostly because Frog is incapable of performing such spells. There's nothing wrong with his Magic Circuits, in fact, they're of quite the quality, but he was just never taught any actual magecraft. Instead, he subconciously uses a low telephatic ability to... well, control frogs, read the minds of frogs and generally just communicate with frogs. It's all about the frogs, yo. But he hates toads. Frog only likes frogs and only talks to frogs. He can also put small scale curses on others he resents if given proper instruments. No special combat capabilities, although he is naturally agile. Carries around a yo-yo as a weapon.

Servant: No catalyst, besides, it's more fun to see myself get paired up with a Servant which actually fits me ~

So does every Servant have somebody Rping the character, or how exactly does this work? I don't know anything about the Fate series, so I'm in the dark about the whole Servant/Master thing...

This and so, so, so much more. Can we get a complete rundown of how mechanics work in this universe, how servants can be summoned, and so on?

I'll let Murdoc and Alexus explain. They are a loooooooot better at it then me. I understand all of it... I'm jsut not good at explaining why things work etc...

What I can tell you is, that yes Servants are played by people in this RP ((the person who they belong to to be precise... so say you get Snow for your Saber Class Servant, that means that I will be playing your Servant.)). In Fate/ Servants are entities with Free Will they aren't mindless automatons. They are sorta... shadows of very powerful people. They are basically the big exaggerated storybook versions of themselves carrying the whole of their legends, what they are known for. They are... more or less People as they are a spirit given a new body. This Body being maintained by the Master that Summoned them. Case in point, this is why they will be played by different people.

Servants have free will unless commanded with a Command Seal ((Murdoc or someone will expalin later if they are even being used in this.)) so to show this and make sure it happens, the Master's Player, won't also be the Servant's Player. Some Servants are well known for being impossible to properly control, or go off and do their own things, or sometimes... act more like the head of the pair by bossing around the Master. This reinforces it so that Masters and Servants won't always be on the same page and stops someone from making their servant one of those perfect lap dogs that will do everything you say without hesitation to the letter. The Servant shouldn't end up being a mindless automaton and having another Player play that Master's Servant keeps it from happening.

I'll have to bring up a list of all my old characters and give them a look through then... Also, will Hukuna just be playing multiple servants then? I see a few Graterras characters stuck in there... And if so, are we allowed more than one?

1. I could end up playing Multiple Servants yes XD. As I'm used to playing multiple cahracters and know I'm not going to powergame situations etc... I've said I'm up to it. If it comes to me being Multiple I'll do it XD>

2. Since not sure what your're asking I'm just going to cover both angles here. In regards to Masters and their number of servants, No. Masters can only expressly have 1 Servant. In regards to creating Servant profiles to be played you can have as many of those you want and they will be placed in the list. I suggest asking around if you need any help creating them since there is a bit of weird extras to Servants such as the Personal Skills, Class Requirements etc... Me, Alexus or Murdoc can definitely help out there.

I've still got a lot of questions so... here we go.

1. I'm assuming the characters must be pulled from fantasy RPs to fit in this setting. Would I be correct, or would modern/sci-fi style RP characters be allowed as well?

2. What's a Noble Phantasm?

3. Is A-rank the highest for parameters, or does it go to S?

4. Are personal skills basically anything we want?

I'll stop there for now...
