  1. For real though, I used one in my fight against Titania much later on in the game and oh my jeebus its amazing
  2. I could imagine! It sounds great, probably destroyed Adrienn
  3. I have actually never used Amoonguss! Thats awesome, I love hearing about people using mons i never thought to try!
  4. Question, who is MC? Is that just an abbreviation for Main Character?? Additionally, it would be fun to join Team Meteor with the mission of infiltrating and destroying from within-but to have to do so without getting caught or noticed.
  5. Ooooohhhhh nice! I also got Axew from my egg and trained it up for a rotationed team that I am working on putting together. Ya never know what Amethyst will throw at ya with each new episode so it is always good to have some hidden beasts saved up.
  6. Additionally, I think Dragon Dance is the key to running a good Kingdra. Once you start setting them up its bulky enough and powerful enough to take on ALOT
  7. Okay so, it seems to me like you have some heavy hitters but you don't have anything to tank damage which can be critical. Additionally, things that can set hazards (i.e. toxic spikes/spikes, stealth rocks) or status effects (sleep/psn/prz) can be super helpful. I know you have Luxray listed as your best, but any thought about utilizing Magnezone? It gets sturdy which can be useful when dealing with those single high-level mon boss fights (like the ditto I am sure you met just prior to this gym). You could also look into maybe getting yourself a Sturdy Aggron to set stealth rock plus having the steel typing is nice for dealing with those pesky fairy types. One thing I can already tell is you are going to have yourself a challenging time with future gyms due to terrains. I'd keep Krookodile as he is a great Earthquaker, but I would probably swap out Pangoro. Its a great mon, but you're doubling up on Dark typing then which (while good for the psychic gym) wont be useful as you progress especially when you get to the fairy gym. If I could recommend a separate fighting mon for you- I would say Heracross with Moxie as that can be a solid sweeper and it can megahorn most psychic types out of existence. I also do not know how I feel about Liligant. I have never personally used one, but I cant say I have ever encountered one that made me want to run one. I feel like a Vileplume or Roserade would be better for the typing and can help out with fairies (such as the Gaurdevoir). You could also try a ghost on the team like Gourgeist or Trevenant (One with Harvest ) as those would wreck psychic mons, are useful throughout the late game and still give you that grass typing. STAB shadowball is amazing against psychic mons. One last recommendation- Vivillon. Some people don't use them HOWEVER they are beasts. Compound Eyes ability makes Sleep Powder and Hurricane almost never miss. Sleep the target, Quiver Dance your stats to insane heights (seriously sometimes you can quiver dance a full 6 times) then literally one shot everything with an UBERBUFFED Hurricane or Bug Buzz. Tends to be a great sweeper that can become a special defense tank if you set it up right! I feel like you have a decent team, but its longevity probably is lacking. I feel like you're either sweeping quickly or you're getting stuck pretty hard on particular fights. I think some substitutions could really make a huge impact on how your playthrough goes. Good luck!
  8. Glad you were able to beat Zel! I have an idea that I think could work well for you. Switch your Sandlash's ability to Slush Rush and drop in Hail. You can then set your auroa veil or even swords dance and just sweep through teams. Trust me there is an instance later in the game where this occurs against you and it is BRUTAL

    Klink?

One way you could potentially get some more cash is to get yourself a meowth? I know it seems a little bleh, but it learns payday at level 12 plus can have Technician which can make it more usable.
  10. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You could also run it with poison heal and a toxic orb too if you want to continually be healing, The Spore-Swords Dance combo is BRUTAL.
  11. Hey! Glad to hear you finally did beat him. Just wanted to let you know there will be a point later where you will be facing back to back to back to back tough battles so stat boosting moves, hazards, etc will be NEEDED. Definitely make sure to have some on your team. Additionally, I think it is really important to take advantage in this game of a really simple game mechanic- immunities. Having a ground type for electric immunity, flying for ground immunity, dark for psychic immunity, fairy for dragon immunity etc. is a really effective way of wasting your opponents moves and giving yourself the opportunity to re-assess/re-heal your team if needed. Certain abilities even grant immunity such as Dry Skin or Water Absorb, Flash Fire, Lightning Rod, etc. When you know you'll be hit by a specific attack, swap into your immune pokemon to waste their turn- and potentially take advantage of the stat boosting effects if it is from an ability. Taking that mechanic into consideration can seriously impact the ease of gameplay.
  12. I have my Spiritomb trained up and in Rotation but so far have not actually needed to pull him out yet! I've never actually utilized one though for a playthrough, but I do remember it being a force to be reckoned with on Cynthia's team!
  13. Okay, so personally, I think you are not utilizing technician as effectively as you could. Personally, I dont know if I would really utilize Technician on Roserade. It only would be benefitting HP Fire. I feel like Poison Point/Rocky Helmet would be a decent loadout on it. Though. TBH I really would only consider Venusaur competitively if you plan to mega evolve it.
  14. I mean, there will be PLENTY of challenges like the Pulse Tangrowth tbh so if you're worried about it, I would recommend you pick up some extra mons for your rotation at least that are a little more geared to dealing with Grass/Poison types- but don't feel like this one challenging fight has to permanently impact your team choices! Trust me, pulse Tangrowth will not be your biggest challenge in this game.
  15. NGL Gulpin carried me pretty far- I personally don't care much for Trubbish as a mon but I know alot of people swear by it still. I personally used Swalot quite effectively well into the 40s if not early 50s if I recall correctly.
  16. Nice! Also, one thing I will add in regards to your team. It has a lot of sweepers but nothing to Tank much. If I were you, I would consider getting something a little bulkier to have as a wall that could potentially allow you to reheal your sweepers, set traps, maybe a terrain manipulator, etc. I know for me I utilize Hippowdon. Hes great for setting up stealth rocks plus he instantly changes the weather which can be useful depending on the battle you're in- looking at you Titania. Hes great because he lasts long, has immunity, and allows me to heal up those that have been weakened or KOd plus he can heal himself too. I am not saying you need to use Hippowdon, but having something that can play that sort of role on the team is quite helpful!
  17. See, Kricketot is good for the early game, but the versatility of Galvantula is amazing. Compound eyes means Thunder rarely ever misses. Its fast. Can lay out sticky webs to slow the entire enemy team, can paralyze if you want to run a thunderwave. Gets access to bug buzz which is a great move for dealing with multiple enemies, plus the electric typing will really help out with dealing with Flying and Water mons, both of which can be a hassle in this game. Plus you actually encounter alot of psychic types so having a speedy heavy hitting bug type is great!
  18. I was a Totodile person myself! And I will totally agree here that choose your favorite to have the most fun. I just recommended the two fire starters as you seemed hesitant with Fennekin. I will say in regards to choosing Totodile, finding a good water type is CHALLENGING in this game until mid-late game. There are a couple of okay ones you can get, but a really solid one can be tough to find. Lastly , one other recommendation that I have is to pay attention to the abilities of your pokemon. You are far more likely to find Hidden Abilities in this game. That being said, take your time catching mons you want until you get one with the ability you're interested in. It can definitely make your playthrough easier. (Additionally, later in the game you will get access to change your pokemons abilities, however it is later in the game after a good amount of gyms.
  19. Hello! So I will say that if you're looking for a Fire Starter that can carry you through the game I would HIGHLY recommend either Charmander or Torchic. If you reset until you get Speed Boost Torchic that thing will WRECK throughout the game. Charmander is great because of a move it will learn early in the game, Dragon Rage. Dragon Rage is amazing for early game because often times most mons dont even have 40 HP so its guarantees a OHKO. Later in the game you'd have Charizard so he's a solid win-win. Additionally, I'd recommend picking yourself up the Meowstic as that thing is actually pretty dang good throughout the game. Lastly, dont be afraid to use more than 6 pokemon. Keep a rotation trained up so that way when you go up against a gym battle, you can have a few options for your team! It can really make or break a playthough.
  20. I have mine fairly balanced with Dragon Dance, Outrage, Waterfall and Surf. Dive is pretty good too if you are on the water, my Kingdra did WORK against Amaria tbh.
  21. My main team is: Aerodactyl Kingdra Magnezone Hippowdon Weavile (Floats) Sometimes Salazzle, for a while was Rapidash, sometimes Exeggutor
  22. Keep Joltik for the love of GOD Galvantula is amazing in this game!
  23. Awesome! I also ran with Feraligatr for a while! Honestly though, I never really keep my starter pokemon on my team, although I needed to pretty much all the way til Ciel for this game as he was extremely useful!
  24. What's made him so useful? I could imagine as he is one of the best starter pokemon out there, but do you have any moments you could recall as to where he really shined?
