Well, one sibling of the dev team has already given us some trouble. And Risa is the sister of game Zumi right? There is more to Risa than meets the eye. Like i'm expecting some sort of back stab from her, because like she beat Melita in a match. She beat Jan's favorite character in a pokemon fight, that's something alright.

Like i pointed out in another post, the dev team have all the time they need to work on the game excluding when it comes to other affairs while GF has to make Pokemon games on a yearly schedule to appease their investors. Sword and Shield despite me enjoying them, clearly needed more time.

Especially length, it takes longer to beat this game than 2 main games. I'd love a Pokemon game that is as long as typical JRPGs like Persona 5 or this game.

Hasn't the player's own existence messed with the plot already? People keep noting that the Player is an unplanned variable, Madam X states they weren't around before and initially doesn't understand why we are so important that she has to save us for some reason, and Spacia and Tiema are just as surprised as anyone else if Souta is to be believed. Also recall that Crescent barely respects them at all, and even invites herself to their attempt at recruiting Melia, with a plan already prepared. That part i find curious. Speaking off, if the theory that Crescent is our mother is true, it's going to be an interesting conversation with Melia. Lol.

I notice Karen states in HL 3 that she would hunt you down if you didn't take her quest? Is that possible? Like what happens if you do 1 and 2 but not 3? Does the dialogue change?

I guess in this hypothetical scenario, Crescent still has some light but not enough to make her hair blond and has to compensate with Garufa magic. We know that Anathea originally had black hair. Another detail to add, is that if Crescent really is an alternate Melia, that would mean that the timeline may be trying to delete her and that explains her dialogue in Nightmare city. Time is literally against her.

A friend of mine shared this idea that Melia and Crescent are actually the same person but due to time travel and alternate dimensional shenanigans Crescent is now a future version of Melia or something to that effect. Conveniently i replayed the game with that in mind, and a LOT of things added up. Let's see, the name Crescent makes much more sense if you consider that she's another version of a person, in this case Melia, Crescent seems to know a lot of things that only Melia could have, like Ren's crush which Crescent uses to play him like a fiddle for her, Crescent also has a shiny Gothitelle, Melia herself stated her Ralts was from Crescent, and a distrust/hatred of Spacea and Tiempa which would make more sense if she's Melia from a later date since Melia has the hatred for them. Not to mention that Anathea is mentioned to have black hair before being infused with the golden power. Additionally it's interesting that Crescent makes fast friends with Melia, what better friend is there than yourself? One big clue my friend stated was that the house that Crescent is in when we die, is seen later on, and Melia lived there before. Why would Crescent take so much nostalgia in a house that Melia used to live in? Crescent stating the future isn't set in stone which is something Melia would definitely know about if she's a future version. This would also explain Crescent and Melia's fondness for the player in that they lived together in some capacity. As noted in the AMA Melia wears the same outfit as Crescent does post black steeple, so that's a supporting clue right there. Crescent having the same power as Melia would explain why Crescent is so powerful and can defy Spacea and Tiempa. Not to mention Crescent captured Zetta for a reason. However there is a gaping hole i've noticed, the time travel rules state that 2 versions of the same people cannot exist at same time. However, we must consider alternate dimensions existing, look at Cera and her similar name and appearance to Cella AKA the Eldest they both exist together assuming they are the same person which is likely considering the similarities, and that Erin at one point in the library raises the possibility of alternate dimensions. The rules only say time, not dimensional counterparts. And on the topic of names, Dahlia and Melia have the same last three letters, it does fit the themes of Cera and Cella, for example. And speaking of names, notice how all the PC's start with A? It's interesting that the As in Dahlia and Melia are at the end. What do you guys think? Note that this becomes all the more interesting if we take into consideration all the theories that Crescent is our mother...

So, with the base breaking reception of the Rise of Skywalker made by the OG mystery box master himself, JJ Abrams, one cannot help but wonder/worry if Rejuv may suffer the same fate. I mean it's certainly a double edged sword with Rejuv's mysteries and how many they throw at you at a time. One one hand, it's certainly got a lot of us, including me, invested in the story, but on the other hand, one wonders how the dev team can wrap this all up satisfactorily? One saving important factor is unlike the writers on the Disney Trilogy of Star Wars, the Rejuv team has one single vision and writer in Jan so at least we won't have twists that contradict each other and make no sense, and the writer has an idea of where the story is going to end according to the AMA done here. Plus the dev team has all the time to work on the game and story since they have no corporate masters like Disney to force a 1 year 1 movie errr 1 update and cause a decline in quality. And really, while the mystery box of Rejuvenation is still going strong, and thus our theories keep propagating, i have a lot more faith in the rejuv team, than i do the Disney Star Wars team. None of the twists in Rejuv has reached the level of laughably bad as the one about Rey in the Rise of Skywalker. You know the one. Sure the whole twist about Erin being Melia's sister is bizarre, but it's not really bad in the grand scheme of things. Though it would be quite a sight to see Geara kill Madam X and it turned out Madam X was nobody who mattered. I guess the Rise of Skywalker shocked and horrified me so badly, that i'm getting weary of mystery boxes.

Whew, it's been a year since i discovered this place, found 2 great fangames, and met some very cool people. Have a good one everybody, make sure Angie doesn't put you in her naughty list.

We don't bash here, i enjoy the cast of Rejuv or Reborn, even the greatness that is Texen and Fern. Yeah, i was checking the older versions of this game, and you can really tell quite a lot improved. Like the fact that Madame X's sword was named Senketsuken. HAHAHAAHHAAHAHA, that will never stop being funny. My literature professor told me every first character is a mary sue, and it's nothing to be ashamed off. Personally, i enjoy her interactions with the rest of the cast, she's quite good at being the straight man to Venam's antics(HA), or helping Erin out with her issues. As a character overall, she's a diamond in the rough, i'm quite curious as to what the end goal for her character is. But on the topic of her fanfiction elements, like her light powers, or how she makes shinies effortlessly, i can see why that's quite off putting, but her character and story so far is what keeps her likable. Let's just hope the devs don't make Risa Raider a villain because she beat Melia ehh? hahahaha. But i guess that her light powers while not being particularly pokemon esque, are something you just have to accept when playing the game, it's how Jan handles it i guess, that prevents it from being OP. And i must say one of my favorite scenes in this game, is the friendship montage between the MC and Melia at Goldenwood. The MC just survived a terrorist attack and saw their mom and several passengers possibly die as far as they know, they are thrust into a unknown region with no friends or family, and just some Pokemon, and yet, this girl reminds them that life ain't all bad and there are good people. EVEN THOUGH WE ALL KNOW THE BEST GIRLS ARE AELITA AND NIM

If i may, i would argue that both Melia and us are the main characters, to use another FF X analogy, we're the Tidus to her Yuna. Our existence aids in her story and vice versa. And here's the thing, if you notice, we do take moments that Melia does need for her character, like interacting with the Theolia family, because connections. And in return, Melia takes screen time from plot points focused on us, like who the impostors are in GDC, so it's a mixed bag. Agreed, Erin's connection was to Aelita, not Melia, Alice and Allen, i could buy being her siblings, but Erin feels forced. I'm 100% sure it was planned, but it was still weird. Just hoping Crescent isn't suddenly going to be revealed to be Anathea and thus Melia's mom.
