A famous Game dev once said a delayed game is eventually good while a bad game is bad forever. And personally, the wait just makes the game much more enjoyable when it finally arrives. Speaking of starting with Scorbunny, i gotta say Rejuvenation and Reborn are really good for making you appreciate your favorite pokemon more, like the challenge really lets see just how powerful they are. So i think Scorbunny's power would be much more noticeable in a dozens of hour long game. At least there won't be a kid talking about how you mastered type effectiveness.

From my experience, usually replaying the game on a new version is worth it, there are certain elements improved like graphics, pokemon, gym teams, and plot details that change. Like i started on this game at V10, but when i replayed the game for V11 and V12, i was pleasantly surprised at how the plot changed, like instead of soloing Shadow Mewtwo, we team up with Kenneth, or Melia's team on Valor is MUCH more powerful, or how the Oceania was changed to a Xen Battleship when escaping Black Steeple. And with the additions like the wild area esque location, i feel it's going to be worth replaying just to see how different the Nim chase will be. Though replaying this game is quite time consuming so be ready to make that investment.

In that picture with Erin and the maids, the area is frozen over and think Angie still has her Regice so she has the means to freeze a large area. Now if it takes place in the present or past is the question. But preaching Arceus's cold truth to the planet is Angie's goal. I kinda want someone to point out if she freezes the planet, then people will die and she'll be the only one left in a frozen dead planet.

I think the more people want it to be a dating sim the less likely it's going to happen and i think that's a dumb idea. Sure i have a certain soft spot for a certain girl who reincarnates but a full on dating sim is a bad idea. Besides, Pokemon isn't about romance it's about having your cool pet beat up the other person's pet. GLORIOUS COMBAT!!!!!! Ignore the day care.

My guess is that since there was quite a bit of Undertale references, there may be a similar form of No mercy where we turn on our group and side with the Surfer duo, hence her line about looking forward to it. Like there is that light and dark prophecy so we may play a role in who wins. Or maybe Crescent and Puppet Master's lines will pay off and it's revealed the conflict isn't as black and white and we and our team can go full on anti-villain. Though i'm not fully sold on Risa is Surfer Dudette.

I meant to ask this in the AMA waaaaayy back, but decided the mystery was more compelling, but here goes: Do you guys think Huey is genuinely a buffoon and goofy, or is he acting like one to cope with Rune being missing? Like that scene with Kanon, like do you guys think he's genuinely trying to get Kanon to remember him by saying blink twice, or is he just kidding around to cope with the fact Kanon is a literal magic slave? Or how in that scene with Alexandra, Ren and Ryland, he goes " Go Rebellion " Is it like a genuine attempt at cheering up the mood or is he deliberately doing a joke even he knows is bad to ease the tension?

Well on the self-esteem issues, i've been told that every writer has bad stories, and that they are a learning experience. No one is good the first times. As Taelia aptly notes in WLL failure is a good teacher. Sure some fics are hilariously awful like Adventures of Dark Yagami, some are clearly growing pains like certain Star Wars works, and some are horrible drivel like Cori Fall's work. Like i said before it's a red flag when the author bashes a character they don't like, especially excessively. But still fandom is quite capable of making good things in the fanfiction department like these games, otherwise you and me wouldn't be here. I think it's okay, but the OC MC may not be for everyone, and like that's the important thing. You know that feeling when you get invested in the headcanon you create for your character but your character is one of many and can easily be replaced? Yeah that feeling among others is the tricky part when writing novelizations for games like this. But i'm a wierdo who likes novelizations for some reason. As for canon, there's like this quote from Superman Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow: This is an imaginary story, but aren't they all? (paraphrasing)

You know what they say, 90% of fanfiction sucks. As for being canon compliant, ehhh depends but like most of the games here aren't finished. So far i've been reading one fanfic that's basically a novelization of the game. Not bad.

I won't lie, i'm excited at the prospect of battling our team again. Sure it was horrible in context at the Pyramid, but fighting both Melia and Aelita was pretty damn fun. Like there is a reason why Reborn's episode 18 Gauntlet fight is so popular. Part of the fun/frustration of Reborn and Rejuvenation is fighting a deck stacked against us, and still coming out on top.
