I'm still traumatized over in the first release of 11, her Florges had like a DOUBLE LEFTOVER EFFECT. That was torture to fight. Wonder if V13 will have something like that again XD. V12 had a glitch in our favor where Ryland's Claydol didn't attack. I find the idea of the cast having ultra competitive items and not giving it to us to be hilarious.

My favorite joke of V11. Erin: I'm not into battling or anything. Also Erin: has a team of Pokemon in the 70s, has focus sash, and leftovers on her team.

I wonder if V13 will involve Axis University, Saki is associated with it as well as Thomas Blakeory. And i wonder what's Hazuki's story. But like Axis University has been looming over the plot for quite some time, Saki, Valerie and Adam used to attend, Melia didn't pass the exam because math sucks, Risa Raider is currently attending and she seems shady. (The first indication she was possibly evil, was that she defeated Melia in a battle without being us. Haahahahaha, one does not simply beat the dev team's favorite character and expect to be not put in their place. Though i could be wrong) people failing to get into Axis is a catalyst for joining Bladestar, and overall the institution seems built up to be antagonistic. Like that episode of Pokemon about the strict elite school. Plus Reborn has Fern obstructing us at OST, so i can see a similar scenario happening.

That's sort of the hold over from older versions of the game, where Melia was more mary sueish, then the game had a major overhaul. I'm just hoping there is a happy ending for the MC, like jeez they are in such a miserable place right now. For silent protagonist, the dev team did do a good job of making me feel attached. Maybe not love, just an affirmation that the cast don't just see us as a favorite tool they can abandon once the adventure is over.

It's going to be sad when everybody in the cast finds love except us, all alone despite our accomplishments with only Pokemon for company. I personally see romantic chemistry between the MC and Aelita the most but ehh the devs are probably going to ship her with Ren, i mean i see retiring with Aelita to be the new Sensei couple to be the best ending but it's Jan's game and he has no plans for romance. So the single life with animal battling for amusement it is. Maybe Nim will give us a call when she's not being homicidal? HA! Either way, it's Melia he wants to be getting all the romantic attention XD. But speaking off boring MCs i actually was planning on writing some interactions that i headcanoned with the team for the Aevis and Axel avatars for which i have different personalities planned out. I already got jokes about how Venom's never at her job, surviving jerk Aelita, and my PC trying to get Melia to bring them more shinies. I even had this running sub plot of Aevis attempting to reconstruct a Genesect he retrieved while escaping from Blacksteeple, had a lot of computer jokes and dark humor. Melia: Hey Aevis, what are you doing with that Genesect? Aevis: Isn't it obvious? It took quite a lot of hard work, but it was all worth it and i turned Team Xen's weapon to our side and will use it to save the people of Kritiline from Angie! Melia: Actually she just froze the last person. Aevis: Damn it all, i knew i shouldn't have wasted all that time installing windows into my latest Pokemon.

I think part of why this is such a problem is because this game is pretty tough. Like we as the player want acknowledgement from the cast that we beat all these op teams and fields rigged against us, then an NPC takes most of the credit. Mind you it is clear Melia does care for us and doesn't view us as a favorite spear but one wonders about the rest of the team. Aelita and Ren i buy, but Venam... she's Melia's cheerleader, not the players, i won't deny some little satisfaction over beating her in GDC over the ribbons though, but i still like Venam don't get me wrong.

I do enjoy the dynamic we have with Ren and Aelita and it's not revolved around Melia. I mean us the trio feel like equals. Can't wait for Melia to make it all about her. XD. I kid, i enjoy Melia as a character, but us being a passenger while she drives a crashing car is accurate. Still we have our duty and we must be her wingman because Jan says so. hahahah Melia's closest friends are Venam, us and Erin, like she already stole Aelita's friend. But really, Melia, Venam and us, AND Ren, Aelita, and us feel like they should be separate trios, feels right.

I was writing a post on the motivations of the heroes, and while writing it, i realized a not so small number in the cast crush on Melia. Let's see, Venam is the most obvious, she had a love confession back in V10, and replaying the game, you realize what a kiss up she is to Melia, does anyone remember Venam's Team Melia line or when we stole Karrina's boat and Venam said she wanted to take a vacation just with Melia, and basically treated us as a third wheel? Or when she interrupted our hang out with Amber because she didn't see Melia in 5 minutes. I'm pretty sure she's on this adventure because she really wants to be with Melia, like she only becomes part of the group on Terujuma after reuniting with her. Don't worry Venam, it's a teenage thing and you have a lot of emotions to deal with. Next we have Ren, who's initial alliance with Crescent is motivated to bring back Melia and how impressed she would be if Ren could manipulate Team Xen. Crescent's line about how this would even make Melia fall in love with Ren is highlighted too. And Ren is most affected when Melia calls him out on working with Xen. As Jan mentioned in the AMA Ren has sort of grown out of it and has his mind on the bigger picture. Then we have Kanon, who before being retconned into a literal magic slave, was a rival to Venam for Melia's love and was creepily obsessed with her, even in the latest versions, like watching her serve food in a maid outfit at the restaurant. In the older versions, he actually was a villain who teamed up with Vitus because he was into Melia, thank god that detail was changed. Lastly out of nowhere, Thomas Blakeory tries to hit on her and propose marriage in V11, despite having not even talked to her before. He even lets her use his account because reasons and he's impressed with her trying to study. But isn't this dude like the headmaster of the school? What a sleeze bag. Hmmm, even in the non romantic sense, a lot of villains want her, Team Xen and Madam X want her power, Zetta wants her because he wants a family and she's biologically his sister, Melanie wants to absorb her and take the light powers, Spacea and Tiempa want to recruit her and teach her, Crescent is like her friend, Lorna wants revenge on her specifically. No wonder she gets along with us, we are the only ones who don't hit on her. Wait Rejuvenation isn't a harem game for Melia and we are the background character is it? I get confused sometimes. HA! Oh well, Aelita and certain other elements don't revolve around Melia. I find these observations pretty funny for some reason, but i will say it's a smart writing move to not make Kanon into another Melia fanboy.

Lucario is available actually, have you played Where love lies? It's a smaller game also made by Jan set in the Rejuvenation verse. Once you beat it, you get a code that will give you a Lucario in the GDC main building. Besides, we are sort of near endgame levels of power already, Garchomp and Hydreigon are available legally now.

Since most of the starters are available in side quests, i think the gen 8 starters will be too.

I didn't consider Gardevoir being the one to abuse Anathea, an interesting thought, given domestic abuse does fall under co-habitation. Regice is isn't technically Angie's ace in gameplay terms because she doesn't use it for her team though. Sure it's her strongest, but that's like saying Kyurem is Ghetsis's ace when it's Hydreigon who's the strongest on his team.

What's even more curious is that Madam X DOESN"T use her Yveltal in the bad future, like the Pokemon we use are still safe from the time distortion so it stands to reason hers should be as well.

What's curious is that it mentions that it's about dealing with domestic abuse, for all of Vitus's faults, he doesn't seem to be the abusive type to Anathea and she never mentions anything about abuse. Which makes me suspect dimensional shenanigans are in play. Well in the Bad future, Madam X states that the castle used to belong to Nymiera and then Team Xen took it over. Not sure how accurate it is because Melia interrupted her. Yeah, i imagine Toxictricty and Seviper will be on Venam's team come this patch. But the real question is, since we know Saki has a duraldon from her twitter account, will it replace her Metagross as her ace? Because you know, there was like a scene in Amber's forced battle where Metagross used earthquake recklessly.

I have a soft spot for Mawile actually, she may have been trash but she had a cool design. Also she grew on my during my Gale of Darkness run and today she is one of 2 former shadow Pokemon that is with me in Galar. She still mourns the loss of her Mega form.

I always assumed that the malicious intent behind Dark types hurt the Ghosts type AKA Evil is bad for the soul. I can buy that explanation for the Psychic field, but not the Ghost field though, how can Ghosts repel something they are weak to?

As a self proclaimed dark type specialist, i'm annoyed at the bullshit reasons why Dark Types are nerfed. Like fine i can accept constant rain or extreme cold when fighting against a gym that's weak to fire, but c'mon dev team, the Ghost field has Ghosts that repel Crunch and dark pulse? HOW? ahahahah

Yeah i am. OR AM I?!!!!!! Hahahah. But seriously, they do some creepy shit there. As for gaming, i've been playing since the tail end of V10 so i was pleasantly surprised at the QOL and story changes, like originally Kenneth did not back you up fighting Madelis and you had to fight Mewtwo by yourself.

Bring bugs and Ghosts, Dark types are crippled in that field.

Yeah no worries, i get what you are trying to discuss, the whole Satan is good trope. In canon, Giratina did save the universe by foiling Cyrus's plan but ended up being a threat due to the dangers of antimatter and matter reacting to each other not out of outright malicious intent. Though in rejuv canon Giratina and the Sinnoh duo are like undead royalty, though perhaps they are merely mimicking the real Sinnoh Trio who are still around. Like Jan at one point in the AMA did mention this game is in canon with the other games, like that line in the bad future where Mosely talks about 10 year olds fighting evil teams does support this. I'm sure all legendaries are sentient since they are embodiment of something thus they would need to be. I see Yveltal as being similar to Death from Discworld, in that he's actually quite friendly and polite but has to do a job that no one really likes but is necessary for the cycle of life to continue. Or even Hades, a fellow deity of death. I do believe if Yveltal could break free of Madam X or Indriad he would happily, and punish them for causing more death than necessary. You know, i went to a Church of Satan gathering once, i got kicked out for petting the goat sacrifice. XD.

Yveltal isn't just about destruction though, he did turn against Lysandre and helped us foil his plans. He could have easily sided with Lysandre and taken the lives of all those who died from the Ultimate weapon but didn't. My guess is that Yveltal only takes life when it's time is up and is disgusted by causing more death than necessary, sort of like Beerus from Dragon Ball Super. So my guess is that Yveltal is being forced to work for the villains and actually wants out, Insurgence also had similar themes.

Yeah, Venam has like those Seviper props in her Gym so gotta keep the brand. Though i'm confused by that statement, what part of Seviper captures Venam's personality? Venam ain't very sneaky or anything like a snake, and is quite loyal despite having a lot of bad ideas and being selfish. Though her plan to TP Blakeory's house and Vitus's reaction will never stop making me laugh. I guess she sort of has a rivalry with Kanon who kinda looks like a Zangoose for Melia's love but like that fades away. Maybe there's stealing the Charizard and pretending to die to get free berries. Toxtricity, is called aggressive and short tempered, fits Venam, but i understand the attachment though, like Seviper's been Venam's ace for years in real time. But speaking of Pokemon, i like that Melia has a Hydreigon. Caught me by surprise during that little surfer battle. I'm actually having art commissioned of the Pyramid scene with a hallucinating Axel with his Hydreigon fighting Melia and her Unity. Expect to see it soon at the fan art thread, though it's going to take quite some time since you know, pandemic and all.
