got it to open. you need all the chests empty in the ruins. there was this one chest which had a scraggy in it and it needs to be caught or the chest wont be empty. access this room from wispy tower side taking the vines fro between the waterfalls and go south.

idk why this is happening to a lots of people but you dont need any inkay or snorlax or anythong else you mentioned. maybe try talking to goomink before and then move to castle. ben will show up and the quest goes on. maybe talking to goomink is imp here coz he gives a weird reaction if you try to talk to him

you can also just start v11 with your current save (yes it works) but make sure you're in a place which is both in v11 and v12. avoid places which may have been remodeled in v12. though i would suggest you do all this in gearan lab

okay so there's a small room with a door and stair which leads to the upper floor. in that same room there are 3 bookshelves on the left. interact with the middle one and a pathway opens. and btw, how did you get through? was it a bug?
