I liked the first person style of the story and the way you have described his emotions and surroundings. The train station paragraph may have required more details, but I suppose you wanted the reader to imagine and fill the gaps.

It's an engaging story. You could maybe split some of your long sentences to two or more sentences. For example, the following can easily be split into more sentences: I don't want to be in that place ever again, my being there in that prison facility was complete misery, all I did there was stay in the cell for hours on end with no one to talk to and I wasn't allowed to at least have freedom as they just kept me in those chains, even if I was to eat my meals. I didn't want my brother to be unhappy if I ended up in jail if I attacked the man out of anger. Also you could frame the following sentence alternatively : I was angry, really angry at this man : I was furious and belligerent at this man. Instead of repeating adjectives, you could use synonyms. For Angie's gym, fire types are absolutely useless. Even if you melt the field, the move cold truth sets the field back up again. Leading with say Leavanny which learns Sticky Web is very useful. Her pokemons speed will be lowered harshly and almost anything which you'll bring in will outspeed it. Bring L.55, Machamp(No guard, Dynamic Punch/Cross Chop) to tank a beat up from Weavile and later OHKO Weavile, Mamoswine, Glaceon, Aurorus. A Houndoom can take out the Frosslass and an Electrode can take out the Walrein. In V.8.1, I think the Tyrogue line got axed.

Is more than one Shiny stone available in V8.1? I have finished 6 gyms and location/item guide says : Shiny Stone Cliffside Grave (5 Badges) , where is this? Can I obtain a Shiny stone by mining ? I want to evolve Roselia and Togetic.

Ducklett (Oceana Pier) and Seel (Chrisola Casino) are very good water types with excellent move pools early game. After 4 badges, you can do the mystery egg side quest and you might get a Staryu/Azurill. After 5 badges you can get a totodile ( Akora Forest sidequest).

If I recall correctly, one of them requires Apophyll academy application and the other wants the construction application(available only after train station is rebuilt, after the gym battle).

All my Pokemons were L 38-40 Team of Electrode, Swanna, Gardevior(Jackpot Starter), Misdreavus, Skuntank, Camperupt. This battle took many tries till the strategy was successful. No items used. Electrode uses in succession the following moves - spark( leads to paralysis), light screen, electro ball - drifblim KO Swanna uses 2 bubble beams , Chandelure KO Camerupt, takes a hit uses Flame Burst(field boosted) OHKO Rotom Gardevior, tanks Sludge Wave, Psychic, OHKO Gengar, Light Screen Ends Mismagius is the hardest one, Swanna uses tailwind and gets KO, Skuntank uses Toxic, uses Acid Spray and dies, Electrode comes on uses electro ball, gets KO , fortunately cumulative Toxic damage KO Mismagius. For spiritomb, combination of the following moves were used. Draining Kiss from Gardevior, Flame burst from Camperupt, Shadow Ball and confuse ray from Misdreavus. I kept swapping as soon as I was hit by hypnosis, this cycle continued for a while and finally after the hyper potion was used by gym leader and a few turns later I won.

Since you are at Tanzan Cove, you could get yourself an Eevee from the Chrysolia Forest Event. You could breed more of them and obtain Vaporeon, Sylveon or any other evolution.

Apologies if this has been asked before; I am from India. My internet service provider has been injecting some sort of a Javascript code/Tracker which was messing around with the pokemon reborn website and I was unable to open the spoiler tags. I have found that most of the webpages which do not have HTTPS were being injected with this code. Currently I am using a VPN while accessing Pokemon Reborn forums and I am facing no issues. My question is can the website be moved to a https communication protocol? I do not know how difficult is this to implement.

I started with Piplup as starter and later realized that it had a terrible move set and I had to rely on TMs/HMs as the game progressed. It’s typing and decent bulk made it useful throughout the game. Pokemons like Trubbish and Kricketot joined my party and they stayed a long time in my main team. I maintained a policy of not using potions/ revives throughout the game, but I did use air balloon, focus sash, paralyze heal, antidote and ice heal whenever it was required. Also I did not EV train my Pokemon’s since I did not know what it was when I played the game. My most mons also had poor IV. I learnt about this after I finished E16 when I saw posts in online play: LF: 5/6 IV _____. Setting up toxic spikes with Trubbish and Technician Kricketune helped me with Julia and Florinia. I had some troubles with Corey, then I added Drowsee obtained from Obsidia Slums, Klink and Donphan to my party and won. The Growlithe obtained from police side quest learnt Flame burst and I burnt Shelly’s field to easily win. For Shade I grinded my Klink over level cap to evolve it, made it learn discharge, used common candies to level it down. Also I obtained Pichu with volt tackle, mined forever to get Thunder Stone and Fire Stone to evolve my Pikachu and Growlithe and I was finally able to beat Shade. Kiki and Aya weren’t that hard with the team I had till now. I lost to Solaris though. I terminated the mirror field to beat Serra without which I would have never won. The Gargantuan Steelix battle gave me nightmares as I did not have any powerful special attack hitters. Here I decided to grind up my Kricketune to learn Perish Song at L.50 and used a Focus Sash to win. Noel didn’t give me much troubles as I corroded his field, set up toxic spikes, used Shift Gear, Gear Grind to sweep him with Kinklang. I got lucky against Arceus battle as it missed focus blast against Kricketune and I used Perish Song. Radomus battle was a very hard battle since most of my mons weren’t grinded to a high level, after losing to him many times, I realised only his Gallade and Malamar had dark type moves, I took them both out somehow and put in a Shedinja with Wonder Guard which used Dig and won after 20 turns. Here is where I realised I will be in trouble in the future battles , so got myself an Eevee and evolved it into Sylveon which made Luna’s and Samson’s battles relatively easy. Then I came to encounter my hardest battle in this game, against Firebug Charlotte. This is where I got some strategies thanks to the forums and I overcame her. I started with Meowth and Duskull. Meowth used Fake out on Typhlosion, got wrecked by Darmantian, Duskell set up trick room. I got a Piloswine with thick fat and had evolved it to Mamoswine before the battle. I used Blizzard to end the field, got my Empoleon to set up rain dance and used Surf and EQ with Donphan to win. Terra wasn’t that difficult with Empoleon, Sylveon and Mamoswine leading the way. The double battles in Fiore Mansion required many attempts till I figured out which six Pokemons I had to use. Seel(Ciel) battle became surprisingly easy because I used Air Balloon on all my mons and the AI kept spamming Earthquake. In E16, Arclight battle seemed easy until I met Mega Ampharos. Most of my mons were knocked out before I faced it and it OHKO my remaining mons with its extremely high Special Attack. I was stuck in Devon Corp and I couldn’t come out. I decided to try to trick the game by using Shedinja against Ampharos, but I soon realised Mold Breaker ignores wonder guard :-(. I fortunately had a L.50 Gardevior which I taught Trick Room, it tanked Noivern’s Hurricane and set up the trick room, and Donphan took care on the Mega. For Adrienn, I decided to get a Metagross, and the availability of Steel Wing as TM made Emploeon very useful and I swept Adrienn. This was the only boss battle in the game that I won in my first attempt. I do know that the game will become harder in the coming episodes and I do hope to complete it with my current squad without having to EV train or get a completely pseudo-legendary party. Here’s my Team Empoleon – Torrent- Aqua Jet, Steel Wing, Surf, Hydro Pump; (waiting for Flash Cannon TM) Raichu – Static – Discharge, Thunder wave, Nasty plot, volt tackle Arcanine – Intimidate – Extreme Speed, Flamethrower, Crunch, Close Combat Sylveon – Pixilate – Wish, Moonblast, Hyper Voice , Flash Klinklang – Clear Body –Shift Gear, Discharge, Zap Cannon, Gear Grind ( I have seen the praise for Lord Magnezone in the Forums) Mamoswine –Thick Fat –Ancient Power, Earthquake , Blizzard, Amnesia In rotation, Metagross, Donphan, Hypno, Kricketune, Garbador, Shedinja, Gardevoir and Pangoro.

Hello all This is my first post at the forums. I have started playing Pokemon Reborn since E.15 after my friend recommended it to me and I fell in love with the story immediately. I have been lurking in the forums ever since E.15 and I joined the forums a couple of months back. I have finished E.16, and this wouldn’t have been possible without the forums. Every question I had was asked by another member already and I did benefit from it. I would like to thank Lostelle’s event pokemon guide and department sticker guide which were very helpful. My favourite character is Anna. I also like the characters of Radomus and Terra(Hear me RAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRR!!!). Atmosphere – Paranoia soundtrack was extremely memorable and it fit perfectly in the build up to the Ditto/Arceus encounter. Radomus quote of even light can be as blinding as darkness fit the sequence perfectly. Cain and Aya’s exchanges in Agate Circus was also fun. I also liked the Viridian forest mix while jumping over Crustle puzzles. I really hope the developers bring back the Johto Boss Mix as the Gym leader theme, I thought it fit perfectly and was kind of disappointed when Adrienn gym battle did not have this theme. It’s also interesting to go through posts such as Radomus, Anna and Noel theory, Lin theory, Relationship variable guide and all the prediction threads. Nowadays I follow development blog closely and I have started playing Pokemon Rejuvenation. I will also share my Reborn adventure in Team Showcase section shortly.
