I've seen someone posit the idea that rapidash might become a nightmare. Seems like it'd be a bit of an odd shift, given that the supposed ponyta has a fair bit of pink, but it's not like we've had nuttier color changes between evolutionary stages before (I'm looking at you, Alolawak). Though it's not like there haven't been winged nightmares in media before, so maybe both theories will prove right?
