This is a really interesting idea. Ice/Fairy type Base stat total: 600 HP: 140 Attack: 75 Defense: 95 Sp. Attack: 160 Sp. Defense: 95 Speed: 35 I can take a lot of damage, strongly favor special attack but could really do either, and definitely am not about to attack first. (I mean, I can move quickly, but that's not really what speed is for in pokemon games.) My stats are really high, but every time I attack I take pretty severe recoil damage. I'd justify being in the pseudo-legend range because if I ever hyper beamed someone i'd probably end up knocking out myself in the process.

I tend to favor sweepers, so I like Porygon-Z.

Eeveelutions are my favorites in general, and it's hard to go wrong with whatever one you pick. That said... Jolteon and Espeon both make for good sweepers- they're both speedy and have strong sp. attack but have a hard time surviving physical attacks. Umbreon can take a lot of hits, but doesn't attack very hard. Makes a great supporter, though. Sylveon and Leafeon specialize in special and physical atk/def, respectively. Flareon's a good attacker, but since it isn't specialized, its good sp. atk is wasted next to its far better physical atk. Vaporeon strikes me as, y'know, fine. It can hit, and it can take hits, but neither of them are too remarkable. Glaceon has fantastic sp. atk and great defenses... with an absolutely terrible moveset and significant type weaknesses. so you should get an all eeveelution team that maybe doesn't have flareon or umbreon.

Amaria needs some stability. Lin's got some.

Ruby! My starter was a mudkip. I couldn't figure out how to get out of Slateport and after that I learned the absolute horror that is a Grovyle with absorb *shudders

mmmmm...I don't know if there's necessarily a need to manipulate you. you are on a pretty set path, after all. There might be some other teamwork going on, though. It would take a lot of work to get you and Lin together.
