  1. Personally I like games with fakemon in them, they're so different and it's interesting seeing what the creators come up with. To answer you first question though fakemon need to be visually and aesthetically pleasing in order for me to play. They don't need to be out of this world fantastic but at least have a '3d' aspect through proper shading. I can't really work with any '2d' base designs cause they look really out of place to me. However, I love your first and third fakemon samples, to me they're appealing (honestly the first one might be too good). As for your second question, it's more the visual aspect again just because a lot of mons are created based on objects and creatures in our everyday life, if I see something I like then I'm more inclined to look up lore and concept.
  2. As a general tip I'd recommend recolouring the normal sprite since the spriters who worked on creating the shinies for rejuv have different styles and tastes in terms of spriting. Another tip is to try and not use highly saturated colours as it can be harsh on the eyes.

So to clear up some confusion with the green vivillon; I was surprised to see all of the vivillon I did in the sprite folder, especially when you asked me to choose a favourite: I have updated them since then but this first set was the one I chose but I did have an another design which was the following: So these were the vivillon pairings I originally had in mind, but if anyone else has any different ideas feel free to go ahead I don't mind at all
  4. I've also noticed that sceptile's normal sprite still has the incorrect leafage colouration, so here's the updated version: @Hycrox Also noticed that the front sprites of scatterbug and spewpa are diff from their backsprites (just letting you know)

  8. I agree but on the other hand I also think it's a really funny/weird sprite, there are some features on the backsprite that are more prominent than on the front, especially the stripe on its abdomen which is just as hard tell on the normal front sprite. That's my thoughts on araquanid.

  17. @Siragon a different shade of red for the frills would work better rather than the same shade as the hair, but the purple version was nice as it was in my opinion

  19. The mouth and tail look better I see what you're trying to do but personally I still find the yellow into green strange, I don't think it works all that well on pyukumuku. Maybe it's just me and the fact that I'm not a huge fan of yellowish green. Just my opinion.
