With the TMX mod, it seems that Rock Climb doesn't work as a field move when a mon in box 34 knows it. I'm guessing that's because this is a mostly straight port of the Reborn version, but I just thought it was worth mentioning.

For me, the music is a vital part of the experience. Sure, when I'm grinding, backtracking repeatedly, or some other task in an area I've heard enough, I'l usually mute it and watch something in the background, but music has to be there for story and first time areas in my case.

*shrugs* It's not like your modding in legendaries (even then, there's not trading, so only your own enjoyment would be at risk). Though if you had found some new secret to get Eevee early, I would have loved to here about it (on the off chance I ever start over). Both of those make sense, though I'm questioning how you got Sylveon that early.....I'm going to assume the mod menu.

I'm surprised that any mon survived that early, aside from one HP trained. Most of the moves just oneshot my mons (though I think Pachurisu survived Venam or Keta's move). I didn't. I was just saying that Empolion basically has no really good moves right now without those three moves (it's basically the worst starter). I just recommend replacing it with a better water mon. You can do TM breeding in an earlier episode (or on Reborn Hardcore). Rotom Wash is good for electric coverage, though we don't have Volt Switch yet (and it doesn't learn it naturally). A bulky Mamoswine is my Stealth Rock user sometimes, though it was still great before the Stealth Rocks. You get to keep Earthquake and even add Ice coverage (though you lose other Rock coverage).

After carefully opening the basic door, I pretty much just did that to see the bonus (hoping for a TM that might help again Venam ). I just soft reset when I got a color combo wrong (once I got the first one) until the bonus was revealed. Cheap but effective (like the leader's custom moves).

Your hate is probably justified, since I hear that thing is a bulky pain. That would be unbalanced as hell for a fully evolved one to be in the first gym.

No problem. Sorry for not understanding where you were sooner. The 'end of the first gym' should have tipped me off.

Looking at the mon on bublapedia, it was probably just a Mareanie. I'm still not fully familiar with Gen 7, so I forgot it had a first stage.

Oh, then you just unlocked the special bonus room. You have to go back and complete the puzzle's simple solution to unlock the final room (with a healing station and teleporter back to the entrance). Congrats on solving that puzzle solution before even the basic one.

Maybe it is just on intense mode (if you played normal). I think her Topgex (the Corsala eater) had it, but I can't remember for certain. Usually they spam it as soon as the mon with the crystal comes out.

If you got to the last room of her gym after solving the puzzles (where the teleporter is), she should be in the next room for the match. I'm confused at what point in the story you are
