I think most main characters, outside of Team Meteor--except Lin--, fall into the 'based on real people' category. I think this issue is mostly coincidental because of the circumstances of the IRL Reborn League, like @Awesome_One was saying.

I'm surprised/confused you can tell how many sub-events you've done. If you can't go to the secret meadow yet, I all I say is try exploring the main castle. I forgot if the Emma event happened before or after that. If you can't find anything, you might have to watch a playthrough on Youtube until the part where you are at.

The cell breaking won't be till later and it's day, so you are locked out the cell to work. I believe this is where you go to the secret meadow. Look in the top right to middle area of the field, where there are trees.

The Lombre is past the tree you can cut near the raised lake. If forgot whether it is found at night or in the morning, but I don't think it's restricted by day. However, I think you can find them in the Jungle somewhere.......but that might be past the point you are at now. Both are moot points, since you can't go back or forward at this point. Honestly, I don't have any helpful advice at this point for this battle, since it was hard enough for me with a mixed team on intense mode. Sorry.

It should be the middle one, after you found the blueprints on the left shelf. Are you using the latest patch (I don't know if it was a bug, but it might have been fixed)?

They may appear only in the afternoon, but I can't say for certain they won't appear at other times. However, the encounter rate is abysmally low, even with the speed up button. I found them outside the bike shop.

I thought abilities were too. I guess I never payed absolute attention to that detail, though it certainly seemed to. I haven't bred in months, so I guess I'm not sure.

I didn't get the edit done in time. I think it works about the same, though it might have a higher chance of randomizing the abilities here (possibly because of RPG maker). All abilities have an equal chance of showing up in the wild or in events, but I don't know if it fully applies to breeding percents outside of everstone. I personally have noticed it's higher than 50%, but I can't say for certain that it's 80% unaided.

Abilities are passed by holding an everstone. Otherwise it's just random. I think it's that way in cannon as well, though I don't know how it handles hidden ones.

Do you have the latest Patch (patch 10)?

Well, the 4rth gym is in the thirties, so it will be a little wait if you want to evolve it (possible 40's if you keep leveling it up).

It's certainly possible, since nature won't make a great mon like Gardevoir useless. That being said, I just read that it might be possible to get one by mining. Maybe someone who knows more can confirm or deny this. You still won't be able to mine until after the forth gym.

I don't think you can mine them, so it's just the one toward the end of the current episode.

Unzipping Patch 10 should get you new Font, Graphics, and Data folders. In your main Rejuv folder (where the game launcher is), there should already be three folders with those names. Delete them and replace them with the ones from the Patch folder.

First download the patch from link below. Unzip the file, then put whatever folders come out into the main Rejuv folder in place of the ones of the same name that are already there: Below is a link about finding your main save file, named "Game" (though search for the folder Rejuvination instead of Reborn). Once you find your main save, there should be a few other saves above it labeld with your name, playtime, badges, ect. Well, version 9.2 or Patch 10 is the current version. There were a few glitches there, though I possibly only encountered one (not sure if it's a glitch or intentional). I would say install/ re-install patch 10 and possibly load up a backup from before you went into the cell.

Are you using the latest patch? Occasionally, getting stuck in your cell happened in unpatched/ earlier patched versions. The crack is for later.

I wish I still had my Red cartridge, but my cousin decided to 'borrow it' once and then never returned it before moving. I do still have my original Pokemon, Charizard, on my copy of Crystal, but I'm not sure if it will turn on at this point. I haven't turned on my back-busted Gameboy advanced in years (somehow I got a golden Pokemon themed one----I don't even remember how).

That's probably why Gen 5 is my favorite. Once I started playing Pokemon again, I started there, and Black really felt like I was starting fresh, since everything was new; the closest game that probably recaptured Gen 1's spirit.

Welcome to the forums, fellow oldie. Hopefully you will find something to your liking (aside from Pokemon, of course). Not all of us oldies are so closeminded. Honestly, I think it's a minority by this point. Honestly, Gen 1 had some of the worst designs if you go by amount of effort put in at making them different than the source animal.
