  1. Rory nodded to himself before heading down the train again, pausing when he found IP. "Good news, power is on AND there's a kitchen. Which means no need to do a camping cookout. Anyway, I'm gonna go try and find that blacksmith and see what the vouchers I got are all about, maybe see about getting some bedrolls or something." With someone else informed of where he's going, Rory heads off to do just as he said.
  2. Arminius snorts. "Hey, Everyone has to start somewhere... That place may be far below acceptable, but can't be too hard on someone for trying."
  3. Arminius nods. "Yeah, I was tempted to try heating up your brother's spaghetti but Toriel wouldn't let me." He pauses to shout to the rest of the group. "Hey, you guys hungry!?"
  4. Arminius chuckles slightly before giving the rest of the group a small wave goodbye as he headed towards Sans. He figured he might as well strike up a conversation. "Yo. That sure was something back there huh?"
  5. Arminius shrugs. "Sounds like either whoever has been taking souls in your world is bad at it. Or maybe just doesn't understand the little things about souls. See, when I do it, I only take bits that can be regenerated. It's pretty easy if you put in some effort and knowledge in, or if you're just made for it. Most of the monsters from my world fall into the latter category, I fall into both, and most wizards fall into the former. But yeah, never heard of bodies coming back without some outside force like the presence of mana."
  6. Rory decided to check out the train for now, trying to see if he could get a door open, or failing that, break a window to get in. Assuming he could do it, he start to work climbing up the impromptu tower to investigate it.
  7. Arminius shoots Ignia a questioning look. "What, is that like a doppelganger? Usually they aren't really ones to get violent..."
  8. Arminius, seeing as not much else is to be done, goes up to stand around by the dogs until they leave.
  9. Arminius, after patting himself down and assuring himself that he was in fact not a ghost now, walked closer to the rest of the group. He looks rather quietly pleased with this turn of events, as if he would rather be in the place of one of the crying goats but is happy this came to pass nonetheless. "Ah, well, Chara has been following the kid around this entire time, Apparently they're one of Toriel's children but had died... So I borrowed some of Toriel's essence so that I could funnel it into their soul and they could make their own body.... After that I have no real idea I'm gonna be honest. That was all them."
  10. Arminius side eyes Sans for a moment before looking back to Chara. "Now they aren't scared to act..."
  11. Arminius waves off Rachel's concern despite his own. "Oh, unless they've been hiding their personality the entire time they thought it was just them and the kid listening they're fine.... I think I might have messed up though because they shouldn't be... leaking."
  12. Arminius starts stepping back as Chara starts leaking. Looking around for someone, anyone that might know what, if anything, he got wrong... Deciding the skeleton that suddenly appeared would likely know something just off the timing, Arminius turns to him, starting to approach. "Hey, what's happening to him? Did I fuck up?"
  13. Arminius ignores Flowey, instead trying to find Chara... It uh, looks like he's just blindly groping the air until he can find and merge the essence with the ghost.
  14. Arminius nods. "It should be fine, though I'd suggest some chocolate after." With that, Arminius begins taking as much of Toriel's soul as he can take safely or needs.
  15. Arminius looks at Dolly for a moment before turning back to Toriel. "I need some of your soul. Specifically... Well it's important that I use mostly yours."
  16. Arminius nods, going over to the monster in question. "I have a... Strange request."
  17. Arminius nods, looking around. Finally his eyes settle on Toriel. He gets a look that seems dangerously like he's thinking before he turns back to the child. "I have... An idea. But this may be a bit of a long shot. See, on my world ghosts have to build up enough energy, and then they can form their own body... So if we jump started that with some energy, say from a family member..."
  18. Arminius rolls his eyes. "Of course, like I said, I got the hang of it now... Just need something to put them in." He looks over at Dolly before turning back. "Though... Maybe getting something more dignified this time...."
  19. Arminius takes a few moments to process this. He glances quickly at Toriel before nodding. "Well, I said I wouldn't go telling anyone.... It's uh, nice to be introduced Chara." Arminius says a little awkwardly. So they had a ghost traveling with them as well? Or.... Oh well, he could figure out what it was they're dealing with after they got to the king. He gives the kid...s time to speak if they had anything else to say before gesturing silently to see if they were ready to go.
  20. Arminius shrugs. "Listen kid, I know you're not dumb. Like just then, they called me nosy. Or any time you've really looked at something while we've been down here. I won't tell the others, whatever is going on, but I'd at least like an answer. If something is wrong maybe I could... help." Arminius doesn't know how he could help, but he figured he might as well.
  21. Arminius shakes his head. "No, I didn't think it was... Actually what is your.... Nope, not getting distracted, That just reminded me, have you been... hearing a voice?"
  22. Arminius gives Toriel a confused look before seeming to remember something and motion the kid over.
  23. Arminius pets Greater Dog one last time, giving them a scritch behind the ears as a finisher, before going over to the frantically searching Doggo with a sigh. He gives a short whistle and waves, pulling out his still sheathed copper knife. "I'll let you have my knife for the time being if you'll cool it with the attacking us."
  24. Rory shrugs. "I guess we can set up camp here? ... Should probably check that train first though. If only to make sure it's not going to fall when we aren't looking."
  25. Rory hadn't been looking at the train, having busied himself with flipping his coin one last time and very securely hiding it on his person once again, so when a train suddenly drove through and crashed into a wall in front of the group, he jumped back and took a defensive stance low to the ground. Looking around though, and seeing that nothing was attacking, he took the scarf on his armor and raised it over his nose to block the ash as he just looked around.
