Wow, I wasn't expecting Ampharos to be so popular, it's tied with Scizor at the time I'm writing this! It's a little strange to see Alolan Ninetales doing so much better than the original Ninetales. Not that I don't like Alolan Ninetales as well, it's design is really nice and it has a pretty interesting typing, I just prefer a fire fox over a snow fox. -
What kind of mone do you like better in a nuzlocke?

Bulky mons all the way. I've done quite a few nuzlockes in my time and I've found that the bulkier Pokemon tend to live longer, especially if you're doing a run on a harder game like Reborn. But even so I usually tend have a glass cannon or two on the team, the faster ones are useful for knocking out the more dangerous opponents. For the most part though I prefer a Pokemon that won't faint right away from an unlucky critical or a bad match-up. -
My main save is just a little over 110 hours, and I've playing that one since 2014. But somehow my nuzlocke I've only had going on for a little over a year is clocked in at 146 hours, and I just got to the circus on that save! I have a dragon mono-run going on too but that one's only got about 2 hours on it since I've been focusing on my nuzlocke.

Wow, I think this was the shortest time between episodes yet! Is it just me or does Stern not seem like the sharpest tool in the shed... At least you have the common sense to look for subs in Subway! I mean come on, it's in the name man! You have six badges already? I didn't even realize how close to the end you're getting, guess you just gotta keep chugging along!

Oh no Toucher evolved. Be careful with that Hypno, all of them are suspicious, I've never met one I could trust... But on the bright side none of your Pokemon died this episode, and Sierra got to Mega Evolve. She is now EXTRA fluffy.

It's pretty interesting reading about everyone's traditions, so here are a few of my own - Anytime I play through a gen 1 game or it's re-makes I make sure to train up a Butterfree to beat Brock with. That's how I beat him when I first played through Yellow, and that's how I've beaten him every time since! - I always save my PP restoring items for the Elite Four (even though I usually don't use them then anyway...) - The Master Ball is always used on the cover Legendary. Even if there's a better use for it somewhere else, such as a roaming legendary, it's just my gut instinct to throw it at the game's mascot. I've only ever broken this rule once or twice. - I always buy the Magikarp from the salesman in front of Mt. Moon and evolve it. Even if I don't plan on using it, this is just something that has to be done. - My starter always has to be female. I started doing this back in gen 3 because I wanted to be able to breed my Mudkip (I didn't know you could just use Ditto to breed males) but nowadays it's just tradition. The only exceptions have been my most recent Sun playthrough and if I'm doing a Nuzlocke. - I also make sure to catch a Pikachu whenever they're available, even if I never use it in battle. Pikachu's my favorite Pokemon, so I make an effort to have one around!

Hey welcome back, I hope you're feeling better It's a shame Solomon died, Alakazam are pretty good Pokemon. But I suppose he at least went out in a way that made him happy. So... good for him I guess? It was also great to see Cheshire again, even if it was just an illusion caused by head trauma.

Hey you got lucky with Winona, that Altaria has given me problems since gen 3. It's suffering brings me great pleasure... Also I don't think that Gyarados was going for any strategy, I just think that these games have terrible AI. I swear I've had encounters where they would try to put my Pokemon to sleep, when it was already asleep. And now it's confirmed that Steven has superpowers, although I'm not too sure how useful rock sensing powers would be... Oh well, it's still more talent than I have!

Oh, this run isn't dead? That's great! For us readers at least, you still have to deal with the constant threat of death. I should probably go back and read the previous updates again... when I have the time. Oh and happy late birthday, I hope it was a good one

Well this was an emotional roller coaster. You lost a lot of good Pokemon, I'm really going to miss Pounce and IronFist, they were true heroes... At least Mothball is still alive, and you had the hindsight to take Rose off the team beforehand... So there's something. And your mother... I can't believe Melia just came in and stole the spotlight like that. Nancy had literally just sacrificed herself for you and it's all just tossed to the side, I don't dislike Melia as a character I just feel as if this reveal was done at the wrong time... I remember the shift being really jarring when I got to this part of the game, and honestly after seeing it again it still is. So this is the end of Book 1? I suppose that means there will be quite a wait for the next part. But that's alright, I'm a pretty patient person and I really enjoy your Nuzlockes. So take your time, I eagerly await your return

Ah Piano Lady, one of the best npcs in the game and she doesn't even get a real name... But at least she helped you to escape and didn't say anything moronic And I thought Ironfist was a great spy! You sir, are the true champion of stealth! I have never seen a more masterful use of the shadowy arts than I have with you, those guards were fools to try and stop you! But in all seriousness, I'm really pumped for the next episode. It'll be nice to finally get out of this prison.

Those trees didn't deserve to live, don't they know electricity isn't very effective on grass. They seriously need to study the type chart. Honestly I'm incredibly curious as to what your mother actually is. Is she a clone? A robot? Or is she just a regular brainwashed woman? Are you even biologically her kid? I need the answers! And hooray! You have a new hammer, now you can properly defend yourself

Oh Neved, every word that comes out of your mouth makes you sound like even more of an idiot than you did before. Just because you have a reason for doing the things you do, doesn't make you right... or likeable. But it sure is nice of him to give the girl he just met so much freedom, it's not like it'll come back to bite him one day! Also, I just realized that your pen has a use for something other than writing strongly written letters! You can also use it to take a stab at... writing poetry! It's a great way to let out all your pent up emotions And I'd also like to say that I approve of your choice of stats, Strength and Charisma are by far the superior choices in any situation.

You can already see my team in my signature... but here's a screenshot anyway And while this box is named "Rotation" I don't really rotate my team. These are just Pokemon that I've used in gym battles or who were once on the team.

How could you let them take your hammer!? Now all you have to defend yourself with is a pen, you can't break kneecaps with a pen! Ah well, I suppose you'll have to make do with what you have. Also Neved is really stupid, and I mean incredibly stupid. Doesn't he know not to hire random girls he finds in the ocean, you can't trust ocean girls! How has he kept this prison running for this long without something going terribly wrong?

Hooray, you made a new male friend! That's what, the second in the game so far? Man, I just realized the female npc's really outnumber guys in Rejuvenation. Also, what are the odds that three gym leaders have gone missing and no one has started looking for them. I'd assume you'd want to keep an eye on the people who hand out badges, but maybe that's just me... But good luck in prison and keep that hammer close, you never know when you'll need to break some kneecaps

Wow that showdown at the end was actually really epic, I mean you still lost but at least you went down in style! Good luck in Blacksteeple! Let's hope it doesn't break your soul too much On a side note, good call on keeping Rose away from that TM. Let her keep her innocence a bit longer, or until she's 30... that works too.

This was a good update, I think we all needed something calming after these last couple episodes. And there's nothing wrong with filler as long as it's entertaining, and this was definitely a fun episode. Especially the phone part, that was hilarious And who knows, maybe you'll end up using Pathetic one day! I used an Unown in a Soul Silver nuzlocke once, I mean it died... but that's besides the point! The point is that I needed something to fill a spot on the team and I got attached, so I kept it longer than I should have... But hey it saw more use than most Unowns ever do! So don't look down on poor Pathetic it might surprise you one day!

Okay, this! This entire gym battle is exactly why I hate fighting ghost types! They always pull the same stupid sleep/confusion tactics, or they decide to revenge kill a Pokemon with Destiny Bond! And then this game decides to throw in the world's most frustrating field effect just to make the battle even more tedious! RIP Scooby Doom you lost your life to one of the cheapest tricks there is, you deserved so much better... Also, you made me feel bad for a side character that I'm pretty sure you only meet once in the game. Poor Luca, she didn't deserve that.

Wow, I wasn't expecting another update so soon... not that I'm complaining! It's always nice to see a new episode from you I'd also like to point out that I never really noticed how many times people pop up out of the blue to "help" you until I started reading your nuzlocke. And now that I've re-started the game to try and nuzlocke it myself, it's blatantly obvious... so thanks a lot. But on the bright side, you've discovered the greatness that is Grumpig! Hopefully we'll be seeing more of Pearl in the future! (I also hope I didn't just jinx another Pokemon to the same fate as Yaxley...)

No not Yaxley! Why must the good die young?! Rest in peace you beautiful beast, I'm sorry for jinxing you On a positive note, at least Rose is less likely to die now... and hopefully her teenage "phase" ends at dying her horns. Puberty can do terrible things to good kids. Also, nice Dexter's Laboratory reference. It actually took me a minute to realize where the lyrics where from since it's been so long since I've heard the song!

Curses, I missed an update. Oh well at least I'm caught up now. And I suppose that I should tell you that I take angry mobs very seriously, you could call me a connoisseur. And that was by far the most disappointing angry mob I have ever seen in my life, so I say we form our own mob and show them how it's done! We can have actual pitchforks, actual torches, and double the irrational hatred! But despite that poor excuse of an angry mob this was an excellent episode, always nice to see how humbly you accept a victory after crushing your enemies Also Yaxley may be my new favorite character of yours, he is perhaps the sweetest Mightyena I have ever seen... I hope he doesn't die
