  1. Samantha staggers out of the engine room, leaving a trail of soot and blood behind her. "They left me. They just fucking left me bleeding on the floor," She mutters in slightly stunned disbelief as she wanders the castle aimlessly, leaving her trail of pain behind, in search of medical attention.
  2. "Do you want to risk going through this building even more to get to the helicopter?" Ana asks, "The laws of physics seem to be slowly breaking down in here." "I can teleport us safely out of the building," Symmetra adds, "I have a teleporter pad set up in Lucio's main base for use as an exit point. According to Athena, Winston's AI assistant, it'll be a short walk from there to the battlefield."
  3. Friedhold canvasses the lab, discovering several gear pieces in varying states of disassembly. However, he can't identify what they are, as none are anywhere close to completion, and their parts are scattered. If he wanted, he could grab one and try to sort it out later. That's when Lucio's voice sounds through the radio. "We're taking heavy- aah! Heavy fire! Oh sh- Look out for that bastion, McCree! Did that thing just sprout tentacles?! Priority alpha, anybody on this frequency! We need immediate assistance! Vishkar's unleashed some freaky science experiments! They're after the refugees! We- Zarya, Winston, get that architech squad before they can set up! Go! We need help, now, or the civilians will be wiped out!" Ana swears under her breath in Arabic, and nods to Genji, who immediately vanishes in a cloud of smoke. "That's not good. We need to get down there now! I'll try to find a good sniping position in a more stable skyscraper. The rest of you must protect the refugees. It sounds like the Overwatch team is being buried in bodies. They'll need reinforcements."
  4. Samantha immediately shuts off her Phoenix Corona, and falls to her knees, coughing and generally looking rather unhappy. She reflexively grabs a Divine Decree as it floats toward her face, wincing with each twitch. "Fuck, I hate doing that," She mutters, "At least it only hurts me though. I don't suppose anybody has a healing power? I could try it myself, but adding more phoenix fire to these burns might not be a great idea."
  5. Taylor heads for the Nexus drill to report in. Protocol and common sense dictate that his observations should be logged for future explorers even if he is not assigned to help explore this new Nexus. And that spectacularly unprofessional, emotionally compromised officer needs to be reported as well before she gets someone killed.
  6. Lexiel has the Lightkeeper of Emeria turn her healing light on Visrii, restoring 10 HP. Should put him to 15. Then, shaking off a lingering sense of 'I just got hit by a draw 1 discard 1 effect', she amps up her aura of light, humming a tune that somehow became stuck in her head. Izumi, Visrii, and the Lightkeeper are each healed for 8 HP, and the music lingers in the air, loud enough to be audible. "...That felt weird. Eh, worry about it later. Come on, y'all! This is no time to flag. Feel the beat, and get in there!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4hm9nkv7cQ
  7. "He's weak to light? If you say so, but I'm going to need you guys to cover me," Samantha tells her allies, "I won't be in great shape after this." The mutant hero closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath. When she opens them again they burn with golden light. She rises off the ground slightly, wings of bright, yellow fire jetting from her back. "I can feel you blighting this place; you shall pollute it no longer. I am life! I am fire! Burn, you scaly slime! Burn!" A stylized beaked head, trailing feathers of flame, emerges from her aura, opens its cruelly hooked beak, and sends a blast of stellar fire into the lizard creature's mind and body. Even as her presence fills the room with warm, welcoming light, like sitting next to a fire on a cold day, Aurora, Dackly, and Gozer can see Samantha's skin rapidly blister and blacken in painful patches as the power of the Phoenix begins to burn her from the inside out. Blood drips from her nose, and some bits of skin actually begin to peel off her exposed face and neck. [Samantha activates her Phoenix Corona and uses a basic attack with her creepy psychic brain, dealing 9d6 + 9 psionic/fire damage and hitting herself for 27 HP. The lizard must make a synergy check against Samantha's synergy, which is 18 right now, or be silenced and forced to only use basic actions during its next turn. Also, the Phoenix Corona amp doubles the Psychic Armor bonus while it's active.]
  8. "Oh for- He's still on you? Lightkeeper of Emeria! I call you! Keep these peons from finishing off the edgelord," Lexiel's lesser angel dutifully trots over to body-block incoming fire for Visrii.
  9. Samantha puts up her Psychic Armor, because that lizard thing looks like it probably hits pretty hard. "So... Any of you know what the heck this thing is?"
  10. "Ah, thank you, mi amigo," Sombra sweeps the pile of stuff out of Isobel's arms, and swiftly dons first an armored vest, then a set of gloves set with claw-like fingernails, then a long, flowing, dark coat with purple highlights. Several gadgets, including a compact submachine gun, vanish into the coat's voluminous pockets. "Don't worry. I won't try to run. After all, we're friends, and friends watch each others' backs in hot zones, right?"
  11. "Oh, uh, don't worry. These won't burn anyone I don't want them to, and you guys seem cool, so- Holy shit what was that sound?" Samantha exclaims, whirling around to stare into the depths of the castle. "We should probably check that out?" It sounds more like a question than a statement.
  12. Alexandria heaves her rock at it! If that doesn't do the job, she opens fire on it with her heavy pulse gatling.
  13. Samantha, having left the general area of the fight because if she was still there she would have tried to stop it once it escalated., runs into the gorgon and the squirrel golem as they make their 'grand' entrance. "More people, huh? Hello! I'm Samantha Grey. We're apparently being teleported here in droves to fight eldritch abominations. Welcome to the party, beware the drider, and if your powers follow the gorgon theme all the way through borrow my sunglasses until we can get you a pair for yourself." The young mutant doesn't bat an eye at the pair's performance, mostly because she's met larger hams than this. After you've been held hostage by Doctor Bong, and yes he calls himself that, nobody else really comes close. Though since she got She-Hulk, Wasp, and Thor autographs out of the experience, Samantha considers it by far a net positive. Instead she pulls a pair of simple, dark shades from a pocket in her jacket, though she doesn't offer them yet. On her own side, the gold-and-white color scheme isn't really notable, but the fact that she's on fire and doesn't seem to be distressed by this, or radiating heat, could be notable.
  14. Lexiel summons some Dragon Fodder, and orders the goblins to defend her. The goblins find themselves some rocks and silverware, and start making obscene gestures at everything that moves. But they do position themselves between the archangel and the incoming fire.
  15. Alexandria finds another big rock. It worked before, so why not try it again? Ammunition acquired, she sets her stance and draws her rocket hammer with her off hand.
  16. "Herbin? Never met him. I am Harbin, the greatest wizard in all the land!" Harbin declares, pointing upwards, "It says so on my hat, so it must be true. This Herbin is probably an imposter seeking to sponge off my impeccable reputation, or else sully it with base acts."
  17. "Very well, then," Alexandria sets her stance and does a quick systems check. Looks like things are green across the board, so "Bring on the bees. They will break upon me."
  18. Samantha, having convinced herself she isn't likely to fry any brains by mistake, follows just in time to see Mar dragging his passed-out sword dinosaur off. "I... feel like I'm missing something important, and I'm not sure I want to know. You," She turns to Liliya, "You look way too normal to be here. So what's your story?"
  19. Lexiel summons a Lightkeeper of Emeria, and uses its services to help her bring the group back to healthiness as they move. She takes the lava axe from whoever has it, finds a likely looking room, and attempts to melt holes in the floor with the lava, so we can travel down swiftly and in places we aren't expected to be.
  20. Alexandria considers the threat assessment. Considering how much harder her armor is than any chitin, and that she's completely immune to poison, bees are pretty much zero danger to her no matter how big they get. "I believe I am capable of neutralizing a very large bee. However, my own mission precludes me leaving this location. I must protect the portal until it is time for myself and my party to leave. We will close it behind us, if your concern is escapees."
  21. Lexiel provides covering fire with her Lightning Helix spell, which has the convenient side effect of topping off her injured backup by electrocuting them. She then directs the Hypersonic Dragon toward a particularly weak-looking section of pyramid wall, and urges the great beast forward at the greatest speed the party is likely to survive. And there's only one battle cry suitable for a moment like this. "Hahahahaha! Let's do this! Leeeeeeerooooooooy Jenkins!"
  22. Alexandria uses her internal comms and a gamma-spectrum laser to paint the shark construct for a sniper strike, contingent on a signal from herself. Best to be prepared if peaceful relations go to the scrap heap. In theory, the harmless laser wouldn't alert the construct, as it was very far above the visible spectrum. "Are you able to describe "the threat" to me? If you can, please do so."
