  1. Cobalt decides to fish for a metal claw boost again by targeting a fake Aelius if one is availible, and one of his impostors if not.
  2. Cobalt observes the bug Dittos with some trepidation. They'd doubtlessly copied his harden boost when they transformed, but at least they didn't get a metal claw boost. That said, Cobalt is fairly sure he couldn't actually hurt himself without a metal claw boost, so might as well start spamming and hope for some attack buffs. He uses metal claw on the impostor that is faster than him. "A-ron!"
  3. Cobalt decides to see if he can claw the bugs despite their diffuse nature. He could keep hardening, but they don't seem that strong. He takes a swipe at some of the bugs that are doing "something else" with his Metal Claw attack.
  4. Cobalt isn't sure if he can hurt something made out of lots of little things, so he thickens his armor with a harden instead, increasing his damage reduction by 3 after the sandstorm boost. Maybe if he waits long enough, the sandstorm will kill them. Besides, he's certain his armor can handle whatever these bugs can throw at him. Steel resists bug, after all.
  5. Cobalt is somewhat alarmed by the appearance of what he thinks might be a ton of bugs. He doesn't know any rock attacks, so bugs could be a problem. Cobalt decides to start a sandstorm as a precaution.
  6. Cobalt smashes the side of the ship with Metal Claw out of frustration.
  7. Cobalt attempts to climb up to the giant snack. Assuming he succeeds, and it doesn't smell like weak metal, he starts eating it.
  8. "Aron," Cobalt says, drooling a little as he looks at the spaceship. Imagine what space metal would taste like! He starts looking for a way to reach it that doesn't require climbing or acrobatics, neither of which he's well-suited for.
  9. Cobalt blinks, and shakes himself, producing a hideous screech of rock on steel, before climbing to his stubby legs with a faint clanking sound. He carefully examines each other person in the canyon's belts, and seems disappointed by what he sees or doesn't see there. However, he quickly rallies, and looks up at Keith. "Aron." He informs the guy seriously.
  10. Lexiel amps up her anthem! "Keep moving, soldiers! We've got them against the wall!" She shouts, slipping back into her Boros habits as the battle gets fierce and there isn't any major mental corruption keeping it suppressed anymore. "Target their defenders and the decker! Take their shield wall apart!" Lexiel amps it up, healing Izumi, Visrii, and Edmond for 8, and putting another Fluxcharge stack onto Visrii, bringing his crit and dodge bonus to 6%. Note that Lexiel's passive does not trigger when she amps her aura up.
  11. Samantha decides to greet the unknown possible nun who has entered the area. It's usually a good idea to get to know the people you're going to be working with, and anyone in the castle is probably a potential ally. Also, it's kind of weird feeling two emotional signatures from one person; the last time she felt something like that was when she briefly encountered one Doctor Bruce Banner at a very carefully managed Avengers publicity event. "Erm, hello! You're new. Or maybe I'm new? Well, we haven't been introduced yet. I'm Samantha."
  12. Sombra starts at your warnings, goes pale under the monster goo, and vanishes instantly. Zarya and Lucio aren't exactly happy that she got away, but Lucio at least admits that after her actions against the Trespassers she deserves a little lee-way, or at least a head start. Zarya disagrees, but is sleep-darted by Ana before she can press the issue. Anyway, Lucio congratulates you all on successfully rescuing Symmetra, saving them from Vishkar's army of illegal war omnics, and giving them enough dirt on the company to annihilate their formerly spotless public image. They offer the use of an Overwatch safe house for training and living space until your ride arrives. After a few days in the safe house, a slim package arrives, its only identifying mark a sticky note with a Sombra skull printed on it. Inside the case, you find a magnificent, intricately-detailed sniper rifle with a brief user's manual included. It looks like somebody sanded the identifying marks off it at some point and replaced them with Sombra Skulls. [OOC: Alright, this subplot is officially over! Your Sombra sidequest drop has been acquired, so decide who gets it, and get ready to head back to the castle.
  13. "Huh. That drink sounds funny. Are you sure you want to- Oh god it's full of bees!" Samantha's voice rises to a scream as she immediately draws on the Phoenix, shrouding herself in golden fire and returning her costume to its white-and-gold color scheme. "Get away! Get away!" She fires a blast of cosmic fire at the bees, stumbling backward in surprise.
  14. "The two aren't connected. Masaru sensed someone and I was worried they might be planning to assassinate one of us," Samantha states, "I mean, it'd be nice if you fixed the machine, but if you aren't intending to kill us or break my phone I don't really care."
  15. Lexiel stares at Visrii contemplatively, a sharp, pointy piece of golden metal cradled in the palm of her hand. "You know what?" She muses in an excited tone, "I've been waiting for this moment from the second I learned this spell." She raises her hand, and fires the dart directly into Visrii's butt, wreathing him in slowly spinning hoops of entwined, red and blue lightning helixes. "You're powered up! Get in there! Come on, people! Back him up!" Her aura pulses stronger, to just under audible range. Lexiel's aura heals herself, Izumi, and the Bullet 3 HP. She then Fluxcharges Visrii, increasing his dodge % chance and critical hit % chance by her level (3) for each friendly action that hits him before the fluxcharge wears off in 3 rounds. Fluxcharge counts itself, so he starts with a 3% buff to each.
  16. Combat Continues! The Shoggoth Wrengler places its hand over its hip, where a pistol would be holstered if it had one, and starts glowing. The sky turns pitch-black, a full, silvery moon replacing the sun. “It’s hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh moon,” The cosplaying Trespasser declares in a gurgling drawl. Sombra pulls out her automatic pistol and empties a clip into the back of the wrangler, dealing 12 damage! Bastion 327 is flashbanged by cowboy cosplay guy, then dismembered by Genji! Venus is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Venus is feeling rather desensitized! Venus is reloading. Bob is concentrating on his ultimate! Isobel is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Isobel is feeling rather desensitized! LOTUS highlights the Wrengler’s weaknesses, giving attacks on it a 5% chance to critically hit! Symmetra is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Symmetra latches onto Bob with her photon projector, dealing 30 damage! Session activates! Hikari blasts Bob for 11 damage! Kagari is a puddle right now. Sachi is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Sachi is feeling rather desensitized! Sachi issues a Heroic Challenge to the Wrengler! If High Moon goes off, Sachi will be mulched, but everyone else will be fine! Hikari is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Hikari is feeling rather desensitized! Hikari uses skewer on the Wrengler! A blue panel is projected by her heavy pulse rifle, highlighting its weak points. From out of nowhere, a dart slams into Hikari’s back! As blue energy arcs all over her body, she becomes filled with strength and vigor. A familiar voice sounds over the comms as Ivory helps Hikari line up her shots. “You’re powered up! Get in there!” Hikari feels a strange impulse to make a comment about having people in her sights, but instead decides to blow the Wrengler’s head clean off with a critical hit, dealing 60 damage to the unfortunate creature. Wyvis is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Wyvis is feeling unsteady on his feet! Wyvis takes a slightly shaky swing at the wrengler, but it is dead, and in his inebriated state he didn’t make a plan for that. Friedhold is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Friedhold is in a cold rage! Friedhold blasts the trespassers with lightning! However, the Wrengler is down. Fortunately, Bob somehow manages to position himself so poorly that he takes the main lightning bolt instead. Bob is roasted for 17 damage! Bridgett is healed 25 HP by the beer hats! Bridgett is feeling rather desensitized! Bridgett takes a potshot at Bob, dealing 15 damage! Bob is dead! Bastion 861 is blasted apart by a helix rocket from behind! Combat is over! With the Trespassers occupied, the Overwatch strike team made headway against the Bastion hordes, and defeated them just in time to keep you from spending another three rounds wearing down a couple Bastion units that had no chance of winning. Lucio and Zarya approach you, clearly hoping to talk, and then they notice Sombra. She's preoccupied with scraping bits of the Wrengler off her face and coat, as she was a bit close when Hikari dealt the finishing blow, and hasn't seen them yet. It seems you have a choice to make...
  17. "Where did he just- What? Violence? I don't know you!" Samantha exclaims at the groveling midget, "Unless you think you deserve it, which would be weird and self-destructive. Okay, who are you, and why the heck do you think we're going to attack you for no apparent reason?"
  18. "Rude. Who goes and says they're injured, and then rides off with barely a word like that?" Samantha complains at motorcycle guy's rapidly retreating back, "If you bleed out or something it's your own damn fault, chowderhead! Wait, did you just say we're being watched?" Samantha turns to Masaru, looking worried, "It's probably not a good idea for me to try scanning minds, but maybe I can still sense them..." Samantha uses her empathetic senses to search for emotions without an obvious source, hoping to home in on anyone watching the group from stealth. This is something she can do without the Phoenix, so there's no light show.
  19. Samantha has left the castle as it stopped, being curious about the destination. When she sees the motorcycle guy fall, she rushes to see if there's anything she can do to help. She doesn't have any healing powers, but she did take a Red Cross first aid course to get a babysitting licence a few years ago. If he's as hurt as he looks like he might be, that could help. She does bottle up the Phoenix Force as tightly as she can before she heads out, though, leaving herself looking as normal as someone with an X-Men superheroine's figure gets. No sense advertising to the Kree and Shi'ar where they can find a Phoenix host to bombard from orbit if any happen to be around. "Oh, jeez! Are you okay, mister?"
  20. Once she runs out of things she can do to progress the zero-point reactor, Alexandria decides to shelve that, pending the influx of a couple tons of siliceous sand, which she will hopefully be able to pick up at a beach on our next stop. In the meantime, it occurs to her that her current equipment makes her look like a giant lizard is chewing on her head, which means it's time for a change. After some time spent blueprinting and tweaking, Alexandria synthesizes a slug of magnetic hematite with her nano forge using scavenged metals leached from clearly broken engine parts and oxygen from the air. After he proves that he can use this to hit and break magnetic fields opposing the slug's magnetic field, she uses this to construct a fractal-patterned reactive force field generator to provide herself with extra durability instead.
  21. Lexiel adjusts her grip on her narcojet rifle, and revs up the chainsaw bayonet. The highly intimidating weapon screeches with lightning and mechanical menace as it reaches full speed, glowing and arcing blue-white sparks. "I am obliged to inform you that you have made a tactical error," Lexiel blandly informs the guard grappling her, "And the guy who sold me this said I wouldn't need a lightning-infused chainsaw bayonet. What was he smoking, amiright?" If the guard is intimidated into letting her go, so much the better. She'll summon a goblin each to block for Izumi and Edmond, since they're staggering around like they were hit with a crowd control move. If the guard fails to be intimidated, she'll stick her chainsaw bayonet somewhere unpleasant with a basic attack using the narcojet rifle's melee mode. Her aura pulses stronger, sending a faint whisper of noise around the edges of what everyone in the area can hear, and giving herself, Visrii, and the Bullet +1 initiative.
  22. After consulting with Jet, Taylor orders his starter a scoop of pinap ice cream on a waffle cone and ambles over to join the group. He then proceeds to watch everyone eating with a sort of detached, vaguely scientific fascination.
