Lexiel, having decided that watching Visrii get logged into the SIN system is incredibly boring and hoping for an upgrade, supplements her looted petty cash with a little from the shopping fund Halley has and goes shopping for a more effective weapon than a knuckleduster. Of course, returning to the main floor of Weapons World has her running into the Bullet's confrontation with the increasingly bemused shopkeepers. "A bullet elemental," She remarks, "I guess this is the kind of environment one would manifest in. Honestly, I'm surprised you haven't gotten one sooner. Hey, shopkeep, I'm in the market for some reliable, long-distance deterrence that won't break the bank. And I bet your advice is worth more than any amount of wandering around the store I could do, much less trusting that the ones that look the coolest are actually gonna work the best. So, you got any recommendations?"

A shout filters up from the trapdoor. "Aaaah! The liiight! It buuuurns! How dare you burn the eyes of Harbin the Lord of Wizards?" All of you recognize that name, and most of you the voice. The details vary with who tells the story, but they all agree that Harbin, a crazy drifter who's convinced he's a wizard, was somehow responsible for the explosion two years ago that launched a tanning vat several hundred feet into the air and rained piss over the entire village. Harbin was subsequently conscripted into the Watch to keep him as far from civilized company as possible. It seems the other watchmen of his shift didn't want to deal with him any more than the villagers were. "Prepare yourself for my arcane vengeance wrath!" Harbin continues to yell, "As soon as I can conjure a ladder, and recover my sight, you shall all pay! Nyehehahaha!" It also occurs to you all that shutting him in the basement for only the gods know how long likely didn't do his sanity any favors.

"Thank goodness. I already have too many accidental injuries on my conscience," Alexandria attempts to take a sample of and analyze the green liquid. If it's useful, she'll add some hard-light bottles of it to her collection. Then, she looks for any mechanisms, doors or traps we could use to progress/need to avoid.
-
"Oh my- Gary! Are you alright?" Alexandria immediately starts searching for injuries, "Are you functional enough to provide a damage report? How many conduits are leaking? What is the extent of your strut damage? How good are your self-repair systems? Can you even still understand what I am saying?"

"As I said, I think Visrii is going to have to get the SIN. Prudent security measures always make things way too complicated," Lexiel grumbles, "So, how do you feel about your skills at staying under the radar? Wait, I used your real-" She facepalms with vigor. "Savra's saggy, maggot-infested... I thought I was over that. This day just keeps getting better and better."

[IC] TFW Chapter 1: Sloth
DragonRage replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Hm. Many of us are badly injured, and I'm not really suited for solo missions with a high chance of danger. Or group missions with a high chance of danger for that matter. But we're supposed to be providing a distraction for Merlin and her group, to draw off the lab's security. Drawing out Ansuz probably helped a lot, but the other group could still get buried in numbers if we pull out now," Bellona runs through her options quickly, and comes to an unwelcome conclusion. "I think I have to go back in there, and make as big a mess as I can, to give Merlin a greater chance of success. Do any of you feel you are able to back me up?" She directs the question towards the general direction her teammates. There's no way they're going to hear it through the distance and army of drones, but that doesn't seem to phase her. "They'll at least be able to tend to our injuries. It might be better if I go in there alone. Less people would get hurt." -
Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]
DragonRage replied to Bfroger6's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Taylor follows Zeta and the crew towards her house, keeping a careful watch for wild Pokemon. He pays especially careful attention to the sides, and rear, knowing that people tend to pay more attention to where they're going. The last thing he wants to do is chase after a berserk Gabite. But a less dangerous and more cooperative wild Pokemon could be a vital ally in such uncertain conditions. -
"Because like your goons, most people have an unhealthy amount of trust in their eyes," Lexiel glances at her hands, "Huh. I do have fingerprints. As for recognizable pupils... We can probably log mine, but I find most retinal scanners are happy to accept one of these." She reaches into her bag of holding and pulls out two marbles, one in the classic toothpaste style and the other filled to look like an eye. But as she stares at the marbles, a certain sense of inevitability comes over her. "I'm good, but I don't think I'm this good. We're going to have to stick this thing in him, aren't we?" She jerks a thumb in Visrii's general direction.

"You need a DNA record to have a SIN. Urza's bones. I suppose any part of this being easy would be too much to ask," Lexiel sighs, "I don't suppose we could yank some hairs off this guy," She jabs a finger in Visrii's general direction, "And call it good enough for government work? Or at least, for the few days I'm going to care about having this thing work?"

"Visrii, that stick doesn't have the money on it. We left the money with Halley, because bringing the cash into an enclosed, private space with no witnesses and a probable black market merchant is begging for trouble," Lexiel states, "You have actually done black market shopping before? You sure talked like you knew what you're doing. Anyway, Councilman or whatever you want us to call you, I believe the first step is you proving you've got the goods. Then we can discuss how the payment can be handed off."

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

Taylor offers the girl hand up. "That went... sub-optimally. Do you wish to pursue? And if you do pursue, do you have a way to calm your wayward Pokemon down? If not, doing so is unfortunately likely to result in additional injuries." -

Taylor leaves cover and heads for Kalva and Mystery Girl, standing between Kalva and the Gabite as he's confident he can take a hit better than the headcase with no self-preservation instincts. "Hello. I am Taylor. Desmond, who is still hiding, Kalva and I were stranded here by an unknown force. This Gabite has been trained by you? Do you know what happened to her? Perhaps we can convince her to calm down." -
"Impressive," The armored guy with the swords chimes in, "I believe the water tower has a rain collector. If you can bypass or disable the filters and purifiers on top of the tower, you could likely slip inside. Are you a nanite construct, or powered by some form of sorcery? Vishkar may have nanite countermeasures, but sorcery is very rare in this world, and they would not be prepared for it." "You are our resident expert, Genji," Ana adds, "Any idea what sort of magic or tech they might have that could make an omnic with no nose smell colors?" "Mmmm. I have never heard of something like this caused by magic. The Shimada dragon spirits do not always behave similarly to one another, but if a spirit guardian had been called atop Vishkar Tower it would have been very obvious. I suppose Zenyatta or another of the Shambali might be able to inflict synesthesia on another if they really wanted to, but no one who would work for a materialistic, corrupt company like Vishkar could achieve the proper state of mind to use Shambali techniques. And besides, the Shambali techniques require line of sight from the user to the target, and this effect did not. Have any of you encountered something that could do this?"

Alexandria tromps over to the door, smashes any ordinary materials blocking the door with ease. This accomplished, she attempts to lift, pull aside, smash in, or otherwise force the door to perform its primary function. Should brute force fail to be effective (such a novel occasion), she will attempt to find a weakness or mechanism to manipulate or hack and open the door that way.

Lexiel approaches AK guy, hands in her pockets. "Sorry about this, but if you try to kill that guy, I'll be forced to stop you. Scare? Maim a little? Go ahead, but I can't let him die at your hands. By the by, name's Arc. Word is you've got something my associates and I might be willing to take off your hands for... appropriate compensation." Lexiel holds up her notebook, out of the restrained guy's line of sight. The words 'A SIN card' are written on the revealed page. She figures a shady merchant doesn't want what he's selling shouted out for all the world to hear. "Shall we do business?"

[IC] TFW Chapter 1: Sloth
DragonRage replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Um, hello, sir?" After realizing that nobody else is going to, Bellona warily approaches the bee swarm and whoever is inside, "I guess I'm our representative, if nobody else wants to do it. Um, cannon guy was named Ansuz. I think he has a history with Merlin? She's not good at briefings. But he wants to combine magic and favor-based technology, and I'm pretty sure there's no way that's going to end well. Especially since he seemed like he wasn't the most rational person in the world." -
Lexiel's exceptional hearing picks up on suit guy mumbling about the blonde guy getting his arrogant arse killed, and she sighs heavily. "You know, I really miss being able to ignore people when they commit suicide by way of their own stupidity." She approaches the suit guys and their guarded door, and greets them. "Hello. Because I'm a massive sucker for lost causes, I'm bound to try and talk some sense into that guy before he goes and gets himself smeared all over the upholstery. You mind not shooting me when I go in there?"

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]
DragonRage replied to Bfroger6's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"We should retreat down the path we have not tried yet. Very quietly," Taylor suggests, "Gabite are very aggressive, but they do not stray far from their hoards of crystals and they are uncomfortable in open spaces. If worst comes to worst, I believe I can distract it long enough for you to make your escape... but I would really prefer it not come to that." -
Lexiel takes a few minutes in a discreet location to put on a less conspicuous face, and heads into Weapons World to find the SIN merchant, and possibly a decent ranged weapon.

Hikari, Sachi, and Kagari The door turns out to not be locked, and the rest of the tour goes without incident. The three girls now have a solid idea of how to navigate the public areas of the building, and how to get to the R&D labs, assuming that they act before the building layout changes too much. Venus and Wyvis "Show me you know what you're doing with that pistol and you're free to use the range," Ana motions Venus towards the moving targets, which nobody is using at the moment. One of them has a dart sticking out of its neck, just to the left of the jugular mark. "We need all the experienced guns we can get for the rescue mission and the evacuation, and you're no good to us if you get out of practice." After they finish up at the practice range, Wyvis and Ana go to a party! They're able to easily incapacitate the guards that don't drink themselves into a stupor, and steal several uniforms. Unfortunately, they're only able to get uniforms that fit Wyvis, Isobel, and Kagari (who can fit into any uniform she wants to). By this point, the three days have passed. The team gathers with Ana and someone none of you have met before, a man covered in grey and neon green armor carrying a daisho who lurks in the back of the room while the rest of you plan your infiltration.

Taylor snaps a picture of the tracks and tries to send it to Space Aether along with a voice message. "This is Cadet Taylor. I believe I have spotted fresh Garchomp tracks near my location. I am not trained to handle a Garchomp, and I am without Pokemon. Please confirm track ID and advise."
