Wyvis' archive binge stumbles across some actually useful information! While examining the internet, he looks up Vishkar Corporation out of idle curiousity. He discovers one of the ground floor guards' facebook pages, festooned with pictures from parties where the booze flowed freely. These parties seem to happen at regular intervals, and involve a fair number of guards. In approximately two days, some of the guards at the tower are going to be regretting their life choices pretty hard. He then gets linked to TvTropes and loses 10 hours.

Lexiel decides to leave the firefight be. Both sides look like they're wearing uniforms, and are fairly organized, so it's probably a guild feud. Those are perfectly legal, and on the moral side it's a terrible idea to intervene in fights if you don't know which side is in the right. You've got a 50/50 chance of making things worse. So instead, the Lightkeeper of Emeria hits taser guy like a lightning bolt, slamming him into the pavement, plays her healing light over the guy who's being beaten to restore 2 hit points to him, and starts slapping her attack target with deliberately weakened blasts of pure white magic. She's holding back enough to not kill, but the guy is not going to enjoy it. Lexiel pulls her goggles off and puts them in her left pocket. Her hand comes up with her darksteel knuckleduster on, and she flares her wings and aura, the latter unintentional as she's not actually trying to make a spectacle of this. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me. Speciesist hate crimes? In this day and age? You have no idea how much I wish the Azorius had a mail-in service right now. So you'll have to settle for the Wojek special instead," Lexiel feints toward the face with her armed hand, then lands a gut punch followed by an uppercut on the apparent leader with her empty right hand. Of course, that hand is covered by her Pyromancer's Gauntlet, so unarmed is relative. "Here's your consequences, you wastes of oxygen."

[IC] TFW Chapter 1: Sloth
DragonRage replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Bellona rips about a ton of rock and soil from the ground with her mind and throws it at the laser drone thing. "Are you insane?! Do you know what happens to people who shoot me? Run for your life. Er, assuming there's something that thinks in there." -
Bridgett's observation period reveals several interesting tidbits of information. First, Vishkar doesn't have the fuel, funds, or something else to keep more than three helicopters on patrol at a time, although they have at least five distinct ones. Because they can only field three at a time, the helicopters frequently lose visual contact with each other. Secondly, the helicopters don't seem to be able to move particularly fast while on patrol. The skyscrapers restrict their movements and it's pretty obvious that the pilots are worried about crashing if they make a mistake. Thirdly, the helicopters are very well-armed, with missiles, machine guns, and something else that Bridgett doesn't recognize. Finally, helicopters are extremely wide, because of their rotors. If Bridgett were to get one in the center of her Valkyrie Breaker, the spell would hit it multiple times and swiftly bring it down. Unfortunately, there are three helicopters, and Valkyrie Breaker's area of effect isn't wide enough to down more than one at a time.

Lexiel lags even farther behind the group, because she is incapable of allowing a crime to happen without intervening. So, she summons a Lightkeeper of Emeria to check out the gunshots from inside the building and offer medical assistance/a well-deserved beating depending on what happened in there, and pulls her Boros tabard out of her bag of holding. After affixing it over her coat and putting her darksteel knuckleduster inside a pocket of her coat for easy access while she strides up to the egregious police brutality, literally radiating righteous fury. "Wow. You know, for a moment, I thought you slime suckers were actually officers of the law," Lexiel drawls, red and white sparks skittering between her fingers and playing over her Pyromancer's Gauntlet. Her aura intensifies as she prepares herself for combat, filling her surroundings with soft light. "But a real Arrester would be more honorable than this, and a lot more afraid of getting their butts handed to them for tarnishing their organization and commanding officers' reputations. I wonder what the sentence is around here for impersonating an officer of the law and committing aggravated assault...? Eh, doesn't matter. Walk away, or get dunked. I'm not picky."

[IC] TFW Chapter 1: Sloth
DragonRage replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Bellona heads in first, if reluctantly. "We've got to break things. Um... That sounds violent. I'd really rather not. But the kids are in trouble, so..." She raises her right leg, and lightly taps the door with her foot. Its center splinters like it was hit by a battering ram, and the rest of it flies off its hinges to practically disintegrate against the far wall. "If anyone's in there you should really surrender! I'll hit you if I have to, but you'll be happier if I don't." -
Lexiel wanders along slightly behind the group, keeping a careful eye out for pickpockets and reckless drivers of motorized carts or airships.

Lexiel considers the guy for a few seconds. "Uh-huh. Is this guy making sense to any of you? Because he's trying to insinuate something, and he's not being very good at it. See, the thing about codes is that you kinda have to set them up with the other people beforehand, or you just get a bunch of blank looks. Yeah, like that," She indicates Psymund's helpfully confused expression, "So you can make sense, or we can walk away. I've sure got nothing invested in your gibberish at the moment. Unless that five letter word was 'bitch', in which case I'm going to weld the contents of your coin purse together first. I'd hate to fail to live up to expectations."

Lexiel moves out of the alley in time to hear that we've been found. "Really? Then why..." She trails off and coughs a few times, lowering her voice to an octave more typical for a tall woman with her well-muscled build, and roughening it up enough that she sounds, well, more human. "Why exactly are you looking for us?"

"Actually, do any of you know what a mono-fiber is?" Lexiel asks the group, "The instruction manual for the box I found seems to think one should have been inside, but I don't think one was."

Alexandria politely asks Ritsu to give her some more heals, since unlike everybody else she isn't restored to full health at the end of encounters. Ritsu has no reason to refuse, so once that finishes Alexandria goes and stands under the yellow eco vent for a while, analyzing the exotic substance and filling three hard-light bottles with it. Then, she goes in search of other kinds of eco to investigate, and precursor metal or possibly a friendly dragon to help the archaeologist. [OOC: In 6013, shed dragon scales can be smelted into nigh-indestructible battleplate, which would have the same properties that Lua Da needs. Alexandria assumes that dragons exist everywhere and all have this property.]

Lexiel pauses briefly. She arranges her wings so that they look like a feathered cape, and puts a pair of dark, steampunkish goggles on, which combined with her halo resemble a fancy set of smart glasses. The end result makes her look eccentric and wealthy rather than an angel, a marked improvement in terms of ability to blend. Having disguised herself incredibly well for thirty seconds of time spent, she heads down to ground level with the rest of the group.

[OOC: It seems like you guys are mostly agreed on staking out Vishkar tower in hopes of finding a weakness in its defenses. Okay, then. Three days of in-game time passes, during which each character may stake out/research/study the tower to learn a single piece of potentially useful information. You may continue to ask Zarya and Lucio questions during this time, as well as any other Overwatch agents you meet during this period. Random encounters are random.] Having come up with a plan of action, namely gathering intelligence, you set to work. You are also provided with a small arsenal of pistols and assault rifles to use if you so wish. Most of them don't seem very good, but there are a few potential diamonds in the rough. About half an hour after the gun pile is dumped in front of you, a grizzled, older man wearing a cyclopean, red visor and a blue and red leather jacket with the number 76 on the back stalks into the room. A boxy rifle is slung over his shoulder, and an exquisitely crafted revolver in his hands, which he drops into the gun pile. "Try to give away my pulse rifle, will you?" He growls as he stalks away, "You're thirty years too young to be pranking me, kid. Next time, use your eyes and don't swipe my spare." Ten minutes later, a younger man in remarkably tacky cowboy cosplay saunters into the room, spurs jingling with every step. A revolver is holstered at his hip, and a boxy rifle partially concealed under his fringed poncho. He drops the rifle onto the table, and tips his hat toward each girl in the room before making his exit. "Try to steal my Peacekeeper, will you?" He drawls to himself as he leaves, "Joke's on you, old man. You got that replica Torbjorn made in case the original breaks, and I got your real gun." The Rifle The Revolver

[OOC] The First Witch (TTG Spinoff)
DragonRage replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Wait. You can level up in this setting? Huh. That was not made obvious to me. Okay then. So then, what does make a strong or weak stat? And what are spark abilities and supreme aethers actually supposed to do? Because again, this is probably clear to some people, but I'm apparently not getting it. I probably should have asked these questions first, but hindsight is always the clearest kind of vision.- 79 replies

Lexiel puts the stuff back in the box, closes it up, and stores it. She isn't very skilled with a whip, and even if she were, the mono-filament, whatever that is, appears to be missing.

"Do you really want to get high on hallucinogens on a plane none of us have visited before? Surrounded by a city none of us know very well, which is full of well-armed individuals? You know what? Fine," Lexiel pulls the can of tea back out and places it on the ground between herself and Theo, and turns away, flipping through the instruction booklet with irritated, jerky motions. "Do what you want. For all I know, that rot's legal here. I'm not obliged to stop you. I'll even patch you up when you get shivved because you were distracted by the imaginary spiders crawling around under your skin. But I reserve the right to say I told you so." [OOC: Assuming her enchantment analysis and physical examination don't pick up anything obviously malicious, Lexiel puts the gloves on and tries to figure out if there's anything special about them. She also reads the instruction packet, using her braille translation spell.]
