      Wait, I don't get it. The Blue Exorcist run ended in 2011. So why are they re-newting it now for a second season. Can you even do that?

      The manga hasn't ended. I would imagine they will ignore the ending. Season 2 is starting with the impure king arc, so its possible for it to work.
