  1. Assassin: "Yeah, that probably ain't it. Draws too much attention when they would have had none on them at all. And the damage on the ground was definitely from a battle, unless they're some kind of blockbuster movie choreographer." After glancing around a bit, surveying the empty pockmarked streets, Liliya dropped to the ground with a muffled thump. She began to head back, at a somewhat slow pace, that of a human jogging. More time to survey. She took a more southerly route, cutting more into the commercial district. A Master would be more likely to hide here, with higher buildings and a
  2. "How goes it Buzz?" Hina inquired. "Things are going okay in here boss. Not great, but okay."
  3. Assassin: "Understood." Liliya headed off without another word. There was a large hole in the nearby building, then signs of repeated impact going up the building. A weapon used to climb the wall, claws, or simple fists were the likely culprits. No matter what though, the enemy was strong, and did not care for subtlety. That implied a berserker. She couldn't be certain of course, since it could be an outlier in another class. In any case, Liliya approached the building, and began to ascend, making use of the large chunks taken out of the building to aid her own ascent. When she arrived at
  4. Assassin: If they are, they're far enough that I can't sense em. Long as they can't conceal their presence somehow. Unlikely. Probably a skirmish here very recently. It seemed like the servant that was somewhat nearby was probably physically strong. Unless they had a phantasm that could be used often, they wouldn't, presumably, use it so early in the war, since they'd leave themselves vulnerable to other attack. I'd say, we look for where damage seems to lead and. . .well, not go there." There was a mild jauntiness to her tone, but it quickly disappeared as she continued. We could probabl
  5. Assassin: "No problem, lead the way." With that, Liliya cloaked herself in spirit form, and began to follow the Master. Through the lobby, out into the rain. There, Karsten seemed to have a general idea of where he wanted to go, so she continued to follow. "It's unlikely that we'll find another servant for a while, are you fine wandering without an umbrella or anything?" Min: "I don't need it for long." Min kept his tone level, but he also was getting increasingly exasperated. As soon as the dust was deposited in his outstretched hand, he began to pour his power into it.
  6. "Done. Moving on to the oil things. They'll be a problem, but probably more so if we don't deal with them. It might take a bit." Hina scowled, but then spoke resignedly. "Alright, go ahead." [1 down, 1 right, 1 down] Presumably encountering the oil devil.
  7. "Almost done with the Mettaurs?" Hina inquired. "Yes, should be."
  8. "Yeah, yeah. We'll be fine, just wanted to know if they were saying anything on your side. See you in a bit." With that, Hina ended the call, and turned back to oversee her Navi. "Found a pack of Mettaurs, engaging. Shouldn't take long." Hina nodded, before leaning back in an effort to relax and make herself comfortable.
  9. "Technical difficulties? Are they serious? They should have better systems for rides like these." Hina scowled under the red lights, and then watched silently as Ayano plugged in her Navi. Hina shrugged, then followed suit. No use in just complaining without investigating. "Buzzkill, get in there." "Aye aye cap. Sounds like Mettaurs and weird black blobs." After entering, Buzzkill took a glance around, then headed forward. Hina meanwhile pulled out her PET, and set about contacting Midori. "Midori, you there? We're stuck on the ride right now. They said they're working on the probl
  10. Min "Yes, let us. Give me handful though, I want to try something." It should work, Min knew, since he was able to imbue his magic into most things. Of course, in solids and gases, the amount he could store was amazingly low, but hopefully pixie dust lived up to its name as a dust. He wobbled slightly in the air, trying to get a feel for how this flight worked, experimentally lowering and raising himself by a few inches. "I can perhaps make this pixie dust into a weapon of attack, or annoyance for our enemies. It will not require me to collect it, simply to hold a handful in t
  11. Hina on the other hand had no qualms about inquiring as to the guide's NetNavi. "Why SheepMan? Kind of a weird name. Anyway, we're seeing all the shows, huh? Won't that be kind of long? After that flight especially." She could handle it of course; she was more of an evening person, and generally did okay with jetlag on the occasional business trips. But sixteen shows still promised to be exhausting.
  12. In response to the girl's exclamation, Hina stated undaunted, "You're right, you need to start somewhere, but that's simply a stepping stone. If greatest in japan was all you were reaching for, I'd have been disappointed. Alright, let's do that some time. I look forward to it." The woman dipped her head as a sort of agreement, then turned towards the two young men talking excitedly. "So, you two know each other then? Neat coincidence." She watched their faces carefully as she said this, careful not to betray any expressions of her own. If two of the people knew each other, that mig
  13. Assassin: "Fine by me. Head for the industrial district I guess? Or you got something else in mind? I'm game either way. I'll go into spirit form when we go down there, unless you're hoping to draw others out, rather than just find em. Don't recommend it of course, but it's all up to you." Liliya noted the arm, but didn't mention it. They'd have time to talk while walking, and since it seemed as though he were drawing attention to it, she thought she'd wait a bit to ask. Not through any malevolence of course. The Servant prepared to follow the man down to the ground floor of the building.
