  1. "Hey, hey! I'm not all that strong you know. No need to shove." She had other tricks up her sleeve, and if Alexandria couldn't stop this guy, her plan had been simply to follow him, confident in her speed. But for now, another five seconds of precognition, to determine whether she should draw her knife. Given what Mar and the demon kid had helped her do with it, Liliya felt there was a good chance that it could do some damage even to cybernetic limbs.
  2. "Yes, I expect you would remember Godot." Ena stated in a monotone. It was clear that the mental and temporal effects were built into the world, but, it was still uncertain if there was an effect inherent to these two mens minds that built additively with the effects from outside, or if it was just the world. "Do you think we could bring Gogo on here, and see what he thinks? Do you think he'd like that?"
  3. "Hey, neither do I, but I'm a special case, y'know? On the other hand, this guy could be as well. Guy, you mind sitting down and talking with us?" The unstated alternative would be being made to sit down.
  4. It wasn't easy to tell whether Spiderman was injured in some way, but Harry sprinted over when he heard Freya's statement. A fever, if he was a human of the same type as Harry. "Freya, who's this, what do we know? Kid, I'm gonna need to tell me what your normal body temperature is, and whether you're on any prescription medications. . ." All things he could find out with time of course, but it was always easier to properly treat someone if they could explain the important things. He'd begin patching up some of the lacerations. Use Disinfect to remove statuses, and speedy prognosis to heal spiderman for 2d4+INT
  5. "Something between mask and us, something big, weight? Support? Okay, so there's a lot of weight on--well nevermind that I guess." Edmond murmured as their little game of charades came to an end. "Cicivexa, I'm not going to comment on the rashness of doing that, but as Cell has been explaining, take a look at that particular stone, there, that one. If we can brace it, and prevent it from shifting when the mask is remobed, it should be safe. Does the mask of vision reveal anything?"
  6. Liliya moved over to the door, not quite planting herself in the way, but standing at the side to accost the man if he tried to exit. Before saying anything, she'd attempt to look forward five seconds for this course of action. If it was not too bad, she'd continue. "Awfully suspicious to be leaving right now, don't you think?"
  7. Edmond stuck around for the question about the Masks' abilities. It would be a shame if the one DOOM wanted would be of great use to them as well.
  8. "Oh joy, you had to mention the bioweapon thingy." Liliya muttered, playing along. Setting down her glass, she'd slink around towards the main entrance in case anyone tried to make a break for it, though she knew places like this would always have a back exit.
  9. "Well that was disappointingly short, but if we're needed elsewhere. . .what can one do." Harry stepped through the portal into the changing room. Why a changing room? Probably to hide their arrival, he supposed, in case anyone cared about strange people popping through a portal. After making sure that the portal is closed behind him, Harry stepped out of the changing room, and into the mall. So mundane! Rather retro in style, but it was a mall like any other. Rather than rushing out for who knew what reason like Sha'Tith--their assistance might be necessary within the mall, or later, not atht the moment--Harry began a calmer search for the action. He wouldn't tarry however.
  10. That is precisely what Liliya did. Pulling up a stool for a table off to the side--though not oo out of the way, not one of the tables where it's blindingly obvious that you want to survey the bar--and ordered a drink. Namely, the closest thing to a whiskey on the rocks that could be fetched for a low price. She didn't care if it was synthetic. "So, you got any ways of emulating drinking, or can you do so? It'd be pretty cool to be a robot that could drink. Swing on up to an old saloon with a cigar and order something, make a good movie."
  11. Well, if the figure was being honest, this wouldn't be an issue. If the figure wanted the Toa stone of course, it would make sense for him to lie about his motives and rely on the gifts of others to achieve it. But really, if it came down to it, this man, Doom, would have to fight them anyway to get it. So there was nothing to do except contemplate methods of obtaining the stone, and remain prepared in case of attack. "So, Doom, how do we know one of them will collapse the room? Would it be possible to grab both the masks and simply leave quickly?" Edmond inquired. The person here already seemed to have some knowledge of the items, perhaps more could be extracted.
  12. "Sure, later. And if you want nuclear fuel, we can try to figure it out. There's probably a method available to us to reduce the uranium oxides. But later. For now, I wish to see what happens with Didi in here." "So, Didi, tell us what you're feeling?"
  13. "I'll go to the bar too. Wouldn't be much of a point in splitting up if we all went the same way! And, well, I think I can handle a bar if anything goes wrong." Liliya didn't mention it, but she got the impression that Alexandria going to the bar alone might not go over as well as the robot seemed to think. "Also, radio tower sounds good to me, we can meet up in like two hours over there."
  14. "Onward then?" Edmond asked no one in particular. He again made certain to investigate the doorway that Cell was approaching. At a distance, was there anything visible? Marks, writing, holes in the walls or the ceiling?
  15. "Now I try to get a little girl to not freak out when I speak in her mind." Harry replied, stretching out the psionic feelers. "Hey, can you hear me in there? Don't panic, we're here to help you." Use Psionic message to try to contact the mayor's daughter.
  16. "I wonder, if they would be able to eat the food we bring, on this ship? It seems possible that breathing the air and eating the food might affect them in some way. If a place like out there can slowly 'corrupt' them, shouldn't the alternative be possible? I only wonder, would they become more clear-minded and informative, or would they forget what they have experienced. . . " Ena displayed a spinng question mark on her face plate as she spoke. "Oh, and Tim, what materials did you find?"
  17. Team B-Now this is podracing! Cramped in the back "seat" of the X-wing, Harry was finding himself with very little to do, save give suggestions. Classic backseat driving. "Mirri, got anything that can shoot the tires? Any way to set the X-Wing down directly in front of them once they're in a straight-away?" No, that might damage the limo, and maybe the ship, depending on which parahumans were involved here. Who could it be, a question of mounting importance. Kaiser? Lung and the ABB? Dr. Ebon had indicated he'd escaped with her visions, right? Coil? The Merchants were busy, and they didn't seem the type to set up a competent distraction. Harry couldn't remember any other groups, but there were probably a few. Finding out would be the issue, he'd need to be able to see inside the. . . oh. "Mind getting the ship hovering within some tens of meters above the front limo?"
  18. "Everything is 'normal' in here. At the very least, we have a safe haven to retreat to if necessary." At Kusuke's suggestion, Ena considered for a moment. "Kusuke, you must be very careful to be ready to place them back outside if they suffer ill effects. Who knows what living long in this world has done to them? And possibly, they may bring the distortion with them. I do agree that you should do it though."
  19. Poncio had followed the main group, muttering quietly to himself about the crack made at his expense. Unsurprisingly though, he quickly seemed to forget it once they were faced with another choice of direction. "I'm sure we could take the zombies, I mean, we already have! But if you believe the armory to be the most wise decision, well! I definitely won't fight on possibly getting more toys!"
  20. "Well, let's all make a quick schedule, how about. We scope out the place for, I dunno, three hours right now, in whatever manner. Then everyone comes back, meets up, we share all the info, and then figure out the next step. Like, if we want to buy a car or something for some weird distraction. That stuff happens, then we do the big break in at 2 PM to 4 PM. " "I'm sure even the least stealthy among us could gather intel, like, figuring out how we can limit this Dorf guy from contacting his friends."
  21. "I'll check inside the Weatherlight. If it is normal there, would it even be safe to move these two men in there? Perhaps humans living long in this unusual spacetime might not be accustomed to what we have, or if they are in some way connected to the anomaly rather than merely its victims. . ." Ena waited for a response, before heading into the Weatherlight to run the same suite of diagnostics and measurements that she had outside.
  22. "Fantastic, fantastic, this will be perfect!" Poncio exclaimed, excitedly taking the rifle. There were a few moments of recklessness, but the rifle not being loaded prevented any unfortunate incidents, and as soon as Poncio was informed of the few safety considerations, he took them to heart, and was quite careful to not break them. "I like this, it feels rather nice in my hands. Not as nice as the sword, I must say, but all the same, very nice! And don't worry Ed boy, if I shoot myself in the foot, it certainly won't be accidental. For every one of my actions, I like to think there is a splendid reason." "So. Now what?"
  23. Ena at this point, wandered over towards Kusuke, keeping careful track of her internal position measurements and gravitational field sensors as she approached. "Kusuke. You mentioned an enhanced perception of time? There are issues with a number of temporal measurements I'm running. Position anomalies--my location seemed to have shifted by approximately 33.1 meters--and temporal measurement anomalies, resulting in repeated changes of local time yet a continuous forward progression, never arriving anywhere." ". . .Beyond that the measurements shift when I look at them." Ena stated as a quiet afterthought. That had never happened before.
  24. "Yeah, well we aren't. But it's not gonna happen, you all. It'd be stupid to go through such a hassle to get us a bomb. There's so many better ways to do it that wouldn't have put us face to face with him in a meeting where he very clearly did not want to be!" Liliya moved forward to look over the others shoulders at the documents.
