  1. Midday Update! (may not always give you one, but today I have a bit of time so there you go) As of now, 12 players have already fulfilled posting requirements. 6 players have not. Remember that whilst lynching is optional on Day 1, posting is not. Vanilla NPC would be revealed with 12 votes, thus granting its level-up feature to any player who has this role. Nobody would be lynched, for only 2 of you wish to see a fellow citizen exiled. Have a good day
  2. Day One "Where was I... ah, yes, the greedy adventurers invaded Sunnyvale. You see, it was a small town, but with many people coming and going all the time. New miners, patrons at the inn, mere travellers... it was oh so easy for a few newcomers to blend in and wreak havoc... kukukuku..." Whilst telling his story, Gandiet grabbed and held an oil lamp under his chin, projecting spooky shadows on his wrinkled face. "U-uncle Gandiet, you're scaring me..." The youngest halfling kid seemed very uneasy. "Well duh, that's the point! Kids these days, I swear..." After grumbling in his beard a bit more, the old mage continued his story. "So, everything was fine until one day, a random miner was randomly found dead with a random note pinned on his chest. The note said: gib sosig or pewish. It was all very random, but one thing was clear: there were intruders in town, and they meant bad news. The residents, worried, all gathered and agreed to hunt down the malevolent adventurers together! To this end, they would designate one person among them every day to be exiled from Sunnyvale. They hoped that eventually, all the evil ones would be chased away. Thus, the first day of the hunt began..." Day One begins and lasts approximately 48h. A few reminders for you: 1. Everyone must post at least twice. 2. For this day only, you may either vote to lynch someone, or abstain. A lynch will happen only if at least half of the living players vote. In case of a tie, the victim is RNG'd. 3. You may vote to reveal a role's description. The most voted role is revealed. If less than half of you vote, nothing is revealed. In case of a tie, nothing is revealed. 4. The format to lynch is [Eliminate] Player. The format to reveal a role is [Reveal] Role. Please respect them so I don't miss your votes. 5. As always, be nice and respectful to each other. Good luck and have fun \o/
  3. It was already said before, but lynching Kiet or me would make zero sense. What good is it to deprive the Arsonist/Coyote of their kills if we do the job for them? As for the Coyote, we only need them to fuck up once to be able to kill them. It should be largely doable before the end of the game. I'm more worried about never being able to identify them, rather than them getting a few correct guesses. I'm fine with either Newt or Lykos dying tbh. Since apparently getting more than 1 vote on Lía isn't going to be a thing today, might as well pile on these two. If the victim happens to be Jester congrats to them, and we'll have to hope they drag another monster to the grave. [Unvote] Lía [Eliminate] Lykos (again)
  4. I'll push for a roleclaim. If the person is scum, they'll have to lie, which means exposing themselves to a counterclaim. We kill both people who claim the same thing and that's one monster down. If you have another strategy, I'm all ears. tbh I find you more suspicious when you tone your presence down
  5. Just under the impression that she's been oddly passive so far. Leads me to believe she's hiding things. For what it's worth, I was hesitating between her and Newt for my vote switch, so I wholeheartedly approve your choice. Current vote count: - Newt: 2 (Fali, Kiet) - Nicki: 1 (Bean) - Lykos: 1 (Newt) - Jelly: 1 (Sopheria) - Lía: 1 (Ali) - Bean: 1 (Lykos) That's derry scattered, which was predictable. To those who haven't voted yet, the players I'd like to see pressured the most atm are Newt, Lía and maybe Lykos. Make of that what you will.
  6. Narration seems to suggest Bok was Clown. So that's cool ig. As for everyone else, I think Nicki, Fali and Aldo are town. I'm unsure about Lykos and Drago, I slightly suspect them but maybe not considering them a priority for now. Lykos in particular, feels genuine but he's also very good at appealing to people's empathy so nnngh idk. [Unvote] Lykos [Eliminate] Lía Perish, monster >:[ 2: Electric Boogaloo
  7. It's true, but massclaiming could kill the game. If everyone claims, the monsters will have to fakeclaim. That will inevitably lead to counterclaims from the real townies. Then we kill all those who argue over the same roles, and it's gg.
  8. Hello and Welcome to Dungeons & Dragons Mafia! Dungeons & Dragons, or D&D for shorts, is a roleplaying game generally set in a fantasy universe. A party of players, each controlling one character they created themselves, travels through the universe and story built by a Dungeon Master, the game’s host. The players have to face many hurdles, monsters and other NPCs as they progress, usually with the ultimate goal of defeating some great evil that threatens the land. However, player characters do not have to be benevolent; in the free world of D&D, you can pursue selfish or dark goals if you so wish! This game of mafia aims to recreate such a situation, where the chaotic players bring gloom and doom to a community of otherwise peaceful NPCs. No knowledge of the actual D&D rules and mechanics is necessary to play this game! It is first and foremost a classic mafia game, with some quirks and D&D flair to it. Most roles are inspired by actual D&D character classes. What is Mafia? (Credits to Dive) Opening Narrative Factions Roles Items Rules & Important Info Roster 1. 9. sorry bean tldr @CrimsonDragon21 how do you know Fali is coyote and Lykos is serial killer? ngl you wishing for town to lose in the same post makes it somewhat hard to trust your claims
  10. I was doused by the Arsonist last night and will die anytime they decide to stay home instead of visiting. Therefore I would urge the Doctor not to waste their protection on me, if they ever considered it. There's someone who, with a bit of luck, might know who doused me or who killed Astra. If that's the case, I encourage them to hint at the culprit before losing the opportunity to do so. Otherwise, I'd like to have some reactions from people who did not, or barely spoke yesterday. Thinking about @Walpurgis, @Newt, @Sopheria, @Seal notably, but not exclusively.
  11. I'd rather not so easily give the Jester their win, regardless of who it is. If you read their role description, you can see they get a free kill on whoever they want after successfully getting lynched. This trait was pretty much put there to deter us from applying reasoning such as "oh well let's give the Jester their win, we have nothing to lose". Kiet sounds quite desperate though. I wouldn't have minded a tie between him and Astra, but if he has to be the one to kick the bucket (or not..?) then so be it I guess. Gotta start somewhere. @CrimsonDragon21 If you're innocent, I think your best bet to change people's minds is a good ole roleclaim. Edit: sorry for the late post Nick pls don't smite me. Didn't realize D1 was ending already.
  12. Good, I'm starting to see where some of you stand. In my opinion we should try and lynch someone today. Stalling for time wouldn't particularly serve the town, since it just gives the nefarious roles one more day/night cycle to do their thing before we actually start hunting them down. Although we could mistakenly strike down a townie, I think it's not so terrible an outcome. Unlike the evil roles in this game, townies win together. That means a townie could die and still win. The blackened don't have this luxury, Jester aside. They have to ensure their own survival at all costs, and they can't cover each other or coordinate their votes, because they don't work as a team. Now since this is an open set-up, we could technically cheese the game by massclaiming. The evil roles would be forced to fakeclaim a town role, exposing themselves to a counterclaim in the process. In case 2 people claim the same thing, we lynch both. The guilty dies and loses the game, the innocent dies but can still win with the town. If we decide not to do that, that leaves us with the tried and true strategy of pressuring people one by one, forcing them into a roleclaim if necessary, and eliminating those who can't make a good case for themselves. Additional information from NA results is of course very welcome. My first move will be to [Eliminate] Astra Unless your post was a very calculated one, your unwillingness to lynch tells me you're probably not the Jester. However, you could very well be another evil role exercising caution. Everyone please don't hesitate to throw in your ideas, suspicions and hunches to get the scumhunting machine going.
  13. As player number Zero Two, I declare myself the hottest waifu in town I have a question for my fellow citizens: would you rather attempt a semi-blind lynch on D1, or abstain? Thank you derry much for your answers. Edit: well except Kiet, he made his stance clear ig
  14. ok but really pls donut kill me Nick, I been a good boy tryna help with my meager abilities and since the Nicki vs Person voted by Nicki strat seems to be falling out of favor, lemme adjust my role to someone who is maybe possibly probably a cultist [Unvote] Jelly [Eliminate] Anti-Loser
  15. That's fair I was voting Jelly because he's the person Nicki voted off, but I can switch to Anti if it's more beneficial
  16. If I'm not mistaken, as of now there are: 4 votes for Nicki (Nick, Nano, Jelly, Sopheria) 1 vote for A-L (Kiet) 1 vote for Jelly (2 if Nicki is Mayor) 1 vote for Kiet (A-L) Ngl I do believe Nicki has been acting the most suspicious out of these 4. That being said, she claimed Mayor and has not yet been counterclaimed. Nick's strategy to verify that she is indeed the Mayor is sound; I think we should create a tie between Nicki and the person Nicki voted, in order to "force" her double vote to be the decisive factor. In that case it means potentially sacrificing someone in order to prove her innocent, but in case she is indeed a cultist, it looks like a decent trade to me. Therefore, [Eliminate] Jelly more so to make Nick's plan work out, than out of sheer belief that Jelly is cult.
  17. Abodi has been discovered and my hunch about Bean was right feelsgoodman what did AL do tho?
  18. Kiet is making Baz look like #worsthost, but isn't Bok our official #worsthost? either way if Baz could confirm whether he did a fucky wucky or not, that would be nice. In the meantime I gotta place a vote. Since pressuring Kiet is more or less covered, I'll go ahead and take an interest in someone else. [Eliminate] Bean His randomness feels less random than usual which worries me a little. @Bok Choi why Drago? random vote or does he look shady to you for some reason?
  19. I think there's a bit of a misunderstanding because Bean asked people to elect him mayor. But according to the op, mayor's already a given role yes. We need not vote to elect, only to lynch. also Caimie I would totally shoot n0 if I were vig because CHAOS CHAOS
  20. I agree with Kiet's analysis. The way I understand the roles, someone can't become cult assassin and start killing on the same night, so that's pretty much out of the way. It's gotta be granny, trapper or vig doing the killings. Only granny or vig for Aldo since he had higher priority than trapper. (Starting next night tho, we could potentially have assassin kills stacked on top of that if the cults are feeling bold.) On a side note, I wouldn't call Bok useless because as the only revealed role, he's also the only confirmed non-granny, therefore a comparatively safer visit for anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if he got culted. Beware the veggie! @ Aldo sorry you got N0'd on your first game, that's a pretty rough start hope that won't deter you from playing
