    @Meteor Admin Divergent I was surprised to read that you discovered mafia games in May. Judging by how you host and play these games, it felt like you had been doing this for years! And it's the same with how well you and Quinn are handling the community. I know Quinn is experienced with being an admin of various places, but what about you? Do you often find yourself managing servers, groups and stuff? Do you like it?

    @Stealth Ofc. I was just mentioning newcomers in particular because that's what the topic was originally about. But obviously I agree with being nice to everyone, that's why my advice was for when you talk to new and old members alike. Everyone should be treated with respect and open-mindedness by default.

    That's a lot of discussing to all agree on a very simple thing: don't be jerks to newcomers. But I suppose this reminder was necessary, so thank you Ame for bringing this up, and thanks in advance to everyone who is willing to be as nice as the community was to them when they were newcomers.       Jak X: Combat Racing.  While I initially was set to dislike it (since it turned one of my favorite PS2 franchises into a racing game), when I actually bought it and played I had a blast.  Both the racing/combat were great and the story stayed true to it's roots.

       

      While I got over my dislike of Hydro Thunder when I finally beat it after nearly 2 decades, I have too much frustration with it to truly like it..........it was what started my dislike of the genre in the first place.

      I see! I'm not a big fan of racing games either. Like you, I had a blast playing mario kart. The only other racing game I ever played extensively was an old Burnout game on PS2. Aaaah, good times ^~^

      race games are tough to do well. there's a line you gotta thread between realism and weirdness. you either go one way or another. or you're like Burnout or Flat Out and you just skip robes while balancing on that line. (Just look up anything about a Flat Out game, it's good.)

    I see. I can definitely understand that. I only hope this level of comfort, or something approaching, can be brought to all members with the introduction of clubs. I have no doubt they were designed with this idea in mind. Let's hope they are successful, so everyone can be part of their own little Nightclub.

    I had noticed the surge of new Aces back in the last days of the rupee system. After the EXP system was introduced, complotist me thought it was designed to not produce Aces anymore, because there were too many of them. Looks like I wasn't that far from the truth

    The sad thing is, the EXP system wasn't even outdated. It was barely 1 year old xD It just didn't work because people didn't bother to use it. They had little to no incentive to do so.

    EXP and Ace status were both in great need of getting axed. Coincidentally, I was thinking of suggesting the suppression of both lately. Good call, Ame.
