Well I'm blessed with an amazing budew.
-
I'm fighting one of my greatest fights yet, this is a fight that lasts for days and will last for even longer.
It's me vs character creation. -
Damn the people who came up with the stupid password policies at work. My account locks itself every 5 minutes and I have called the help desk 5 times today.
-
Playing a defensive/stall team in Reborn is really a test of patience.
-
I finished my first D&D session yesterday. I will also start a log of our adventures in the D&D club. For those interested look here:

Lightning doesn't strike twice, but for you I make it four.

@seki108 You use kaminari attack as fusion material for twin-headed thunder dragon in duelist of the rose? I just use kaminarikozou, way lower dc.
-
Well I'm digging that thunder dragon support. Shame that the OG fusion didn't get any love especially it was once my ace.
-
Never has monster hunter disappointed me so much. I finally reached after a hiatus the final battle of the story of mh4u only for it to be a scripted tutorial. Such a waste of hype.
-
Who would win? Five link monsters or one flowery dragon?
Spoiler -
I'm not sure if this is appriopriate in this forum so yeah :
SpoilerMy friends are one of a kind. I suggest to play d&d and an half hour later they have plans to play as child raping pillagers.
-
In order for the upcomming Link Vrains episode I have little present.
Behold the potential of trickstars.
SpoilerI wish I could do something similar for Soul burner but alas no Salamangreats yet. Also I don't think I have the passion for it since I don't like Soulburner that much. Still may the best duelist win.
SpoilerWho am I kidding? Soulburner will win no matter what because Lost incident/Ignis bias.

I think they will become collectors bait or a theme deck. Salamangreat is an archetype without focus. They have bunch of random effects that barely synergise with each other. The effects themselves are not great either while lacking in some crucial aspects. They have not a single card in the deck that searches for instance.
The salamangreat boss monsters are OK but are a bit too restrictive in their requirements. The requirements of the boss monsters prevents the addition of generic cyberse support which could have pushed the deck a bit.
-
Doubt it, trickstars were meta with the cards from her first duel. Altergeist and gouki just needed a little push from their first appearance to become truly good.
But Salamgreat doesn't seem to have that potential especially since soulburner has the bad habit to gain lp for that sweet burning draw. Lp gain has never been good so no luck for him.

While cleaning up my game library, I reached reckoning:kingdom of amalur. I have never been so annoyed with a game about choice.
SpoilerYou are free of fate, you can change your destiny and those of others. But then comes the game/quest structure which negates it all.
You want to kill an obvious traitor? Quest failed. First you have to listen to his monologue and then you kill him. You want to make sure someone doesn't return from an expedition alive? First you have to anounce your intent to kill. In both case rip backstab.
Or you have to either steal a book and trade it for your cormrade's live, steal the key or get his tools. The book was his objective so I will steal the book and the key and use the key to free him. Not possible.
Finally I have to return a stolen amulet. Well I have sneak so let's pickpocket it. New objective cleanse the amulet in a temple I have never heard from. When cleansed return it to the quest starter or a guy I have never heard of.

Complete destruction in 3,2,1...
SpoilerRemember yugioh is fair and balanced

When even the most broken card can't save your opponent from his own stupidity.
Spoiler-
"At the end of the Battle Phase, if your opponent controls more cards than you do: You can make your opponent banish cards from their fieldface-down so they control the same number of cards as you do. If you control no cards, you can activate this card from your hand."
the fuck?
this kind of powercreep scares me.
-
The card is stupid. This cements the need of hand traps (cards that can be activated from the hand during the opponents turn) even more. People justify this degeneracy with : "Going second isn't auto-lose" and 'Just don't overextend".
I fear that yugioh will evolve to a game where placing cards on the field will be a thing you don't want to do but have to do. So they will pass until they can finish/lock their opponent in a single turn. I have seen signs of this but we aren't quite there yet.

Yo dawg I heard you liked eyes restrict monster.
Spoiler(yes, eyes restrict is the archetype name)

I don't think I ever got as old school as this:

im glad ive been able to use him as well as I could when he was meta in duel links. never managed to actually get a copy of the card irl back when I was a wee lad, which sucked because it was one of pegasus' ace cards and I loved pegasus.
I wouldnt know how well it performs in regular ygo right now, but I suppose that its mechanics are still rather unique, which can give it a niche in the slightest sense of the word.
-
In yugioh millenium-eyes/relinquished is 100% non-meta or rogue (not meta but might sneak a victory somewhere) and thus falls under casual. In that category it does pretty well, links empowered it rather then weakened it especially since it gots its own link monster.
Spoiler" Relinquished Anima
1 Level 1 monster, except a Token
You can target 1 face-up monster this card points to; equip that target to this card (max. 1). Gains ATK equal to that equipped monster's ATK. You can only use this effect of "Relinquished Anima" once per turn."(technically doesn't work with the support but who cares)
You're mostly focussing on the new millenium eyes fusion monster but the OG comes up from time to time. There is some good ritual support out there.
For the mechanic snatching there has been meklord (an anime anti-synchro archtype that made me lose a lot of respect in yusei) and Silent honor (D)ARK (another anime archtype) but nothing does it with the freedom as reluinquished which makes it extremely fun.

My ears and head are sweating from my headphones, but the music is just too good. It even got to the point that they are slipping.
Here have a sample
Spoiler -
I just finished final fantasy explorers. It was pretty decent for a monster hunter/final fantasy hybrid. The game was seriously held back by its monster design which is a shame because the combat was very good.
Still after facing Ifrit for the umpteenth time it gets boring.
-
I finally finished building a "working" "rokket" deck. Funnily enough I took ideas from a collegue of revolver: Vaira. Virusses and rokkets: seems like a fantastic idea. Now I have chemical missile deck.
-
I played roller coaster tycoon again in a very long time: 16 people died.
