    I just beat Ciel. This fight required some ethers and elixers. Basically she couldn't get past Gastrodon and I whitered her down (slowly). There was a slight incident with missing an icicle crash on gliscor but I managed to recover (barely).

    That baton pass oricoro was a good idea. Boosting with the seed an revelation dance. Fire does seem like the best bet. It is a good replacement for talonflame.

     

    She also got a minior which I am less pleased since it is already so common. Archeops seems like a better choice.

    I just beat terra. Nothing too difficult.

    She got a pallosand which I think replaced a claydoll. Why I don't know, Pallosand is not that good.  Also the seed changed her type but I don't know what's the point of that.

      Does she really need 2 Water/Ground -types, though? She already has Quagsire. Besides, for what it's worth, Palossand has Water Compaction going for it. By becoming typeless Palossand doesn't even take super-effective damage from Water-type moves, not to mention Giga Drain with Amnesia boosts spell doom for Water-type mons.

      The typing becomes irrelevant anyway.  Water compaction is not that good, it is just too situational.

       

      Also torterra which also learns giga drain, has shell armor which is always usefull because it prevents crits from breaking through all your boosts.

      That is true. I'd love to see Torterra, but I don't think Palossand should be replaced. Torterra, if it doesn't hold Seed, has crippling Ice weakness like most of Terra's mons. Torterra also has to rely on Giga Drain and Leech Seed for recovery, while Palossand has Shore Up (further boosted by Sandstorm). While I'm not too keen on seeing Claydol gone, I like Palossand.

    I crawled past Charlotte, still her team was no match for my gastrodon even though it ko's at snail's pace.

    I didn't notice any gen 7 changes which makes sense but still. Considering how dominant they were in the start I expected a bit more gen 7 you know?

    No gen 7 mons from what I remember but seeds make hawlucha a lot scarier.

    I finally got through cleaning up (most of) the thrash of reborn with the itemfinder and beating Luna. 

     

    Luna took 2 tries though the first one failed because double crit on +3 gastrodon and moxie swept from there. The second try I 6-0 her in return.

    I beat Radomus with 6-0. To be fair Jummpluff and synthetic seed Delpox is a scary combination.

    The new AI managed to get at least trick room off but at that point there was only slowking.

    Took a few tries of all the hax and none of it was Cincino. Ice punches that freeze for more than 8 turns, crits at the most unfortunate times, double will-o-wisp misses,... .

     

    For the rest his team got a lot of improvement with a more survible swellow, a extremely poor wigglytuff replced by bewear and a tankier Clefable. I find that it makes him one of the more threathening gym leaders.

     

    Luckely my team could stall out noell with toxic spikes excapt clefable. Clefable was defeated by toxapex's venoshock.

    I can't say for sure but Serra was easy. To be fair, having a strategy based around aurora veil means nothing against toxic.

    The gen 7 additions were cool but I'm not sure if toxapex is a good doubles mon. It was new very thematic for salazzle to burn me with a sludge wave. I'm not sure if it was worth tentacruel and gengar. 

     

    With Fern's new team came a new excuse for his loss. I like the "it was doubles" excuse.

      While there aren't that many gen 7 Fighting-type mons, anything that isn't Bewear seems to get ignored.

    I don't know he felt kinda easy. I mean maybe because outside gengar I didn't feel he hd anything threathening. I kinda want him to swap out one of his weaker members for his previous ace chandelure.

    The madmen in the ocg actually did it. Firewall dragon is limitted and ancient fairy dragon is banned.

      I mean, a special summon you can use for a Link summon outa nowhere and being a 3k wall seems to be enough, or it was a combo with Firewall

      It is, field spells are extremely good these days. So hetting an extra is always nice. It also special summons monsters. Destrudo and dragon ravine made this card extremely easy to summon and use. I play destrudo in trckstars for ancient fairy dragon.

    I just beat Shelly.

    The fight was a bit unfair because I anticipated the rain dance with a fake out and fire pledge into illumise. Even the Araquanid did little since when it came into the field jumpluff was ready with sleep powder. Still shelly managed to get the rain up eventually but then it was too late.

    And I got mareanie. I'm so happy. It was a very wishfull thinking when I saw the colors of the egg.

    Defeated corey, I'm pleasantly surprised with this one. Very creative . It even took me a few tries (though that might be because I'm slightly underleveled).

      But it is such a creative set. Most people assume toxapex/mareanie a stall mon. And here is ame making it an offensive mon that still synergises with the defensive playstyle. It is heaps better then grimer.

    Well defeated Florinia. Ralph the trubbish and James the dustox clearly proved their worth by defeating 4 out of 6 her pkmn together.

    Just finished Julia's gym with my soon to be defensive team.

    I just finished ultra moons league. I might make a post consisting of photos I made during the run after work. Difficulty was low though.

      Come on. Be frank the game throws so much free stuff at you its get sad. You get a broken exp share, z-moves, pkmn refresh,  rotom powers, ... .  The game also gave you 2 legendaries. 2 legendaries!!! 

      I didn't even need them. I beat the league with just 4 mon and no Z-moves while at the same time ignoring a lot of features.

      true, it was really easy. I personalyl don't mind it tho, it makes for a fun casual adventure. I mean, not everything has to be "The New Dark Souls".

    The mission is to hunt some coal. The subquest is to cut off a gravios' tail.

    "Time to hunt that tail."

    After cutting the tail off:

    "Might as well kill it."

    After killing it: 

    "Oh yeah, the coal."

    That's how getting some coal becomes a life or death battle.

     

    Next quest: hunt a gravios.

      @Wolfox It's just that i use quest like these to gather informainf about monsters I'm going to hunt. Movement/attack patterns but also if i get a material I can get the elemental weaknesses.
