  1. Empoleon is such a good Pokemon tho...right? RIGHT (jk I love you empoleon don't leave me).
  2. Ok, so I would love to see Spinda get an evolution of some kind, even if its just a mega-evolution. The problem with giving it a normal evolution is that the Pokemon is such a clusterfuck of a design that I'm not even sure where the hell to go with it. Its pretty obviously named after a bear, but it has features of both a bear and a rabbit. Not to mention the name itself is kind of hard to build upon. Like, what's a good follow-up to a Pokemon named Spinda? I can't think of one.
  3. For Pokken I'd definitely recommend getting a Pro Controller. The game's controls were primarily designed around the Pro Controller, so it'll probably be better in the long run of things. If you're planning on doing anything with, let's say, Sm4sh, then that's a different story as what you use is pretty much determined by what you're comfortable with using. There's people who use the nunchucks competitively for goodness sake. Ultimately, while I highly recommend you getting an official controller (that doesn't really have any drawbacks, from my experience), I've heard some knock-offs to be decent at best. It's all about quality vs price. For example, nobody really EVER goes for the cheap arcade sticks. The good ones are made by Madcatz and Hori, and they cost (on average) anywhere between $150-$300. But they get a very high quality product spending that kind of money. You should probably use this thinking when approaching buying a controller of any kind. Do you want cheap, or do you want a good investment that'll most likely last longer?
  4. I don't think they're going to do anymore third games that combine the two anymore. I mean, we never got a Pokemon Z for gen 6 now did we? And there was really no reason whatsoever for them to remake Emerald as OR and AS fulfilled the job that the original Emerald did and much more efficiently. I'm not going to get my hopes up with the idea of a Pokemon Eclipse or what have you. And I know it's just you snowballing ideas there Nick, but that seems like a very "big ending" title to a series. I doubt with how popular Pokemon is that its going to end anytime soon.
  5. Well, yes and no. People blew the size of the "ban" out of proportion. It was one small community within the Russian Smash community (which is already small as it is). And even then the TO didn't really ever officially ban it. ...so yeah, it was mostly a shitpost. Oh well. Even if Bayo does become the huge threat to the competitive scene that she's made out to be, people will stick with what works for them most of the time anyways. It's not optimal for tournaments, but the whole point of this game is to have fun anyways. If you're not having fun then what's the point of playing it?
  6. Hey guys, don't hate on the sheep legendary. Remember how great the hedgehog was? Remember how...how AWESOME it was...? ...right?
  7. New way to evolve the Eevee for its ghost Eeveelution: it has to faint during a battle at night level 20+. Y'know, I was joking at first when I wrote this, but I think that'd be a kinda unique way to see a Pokemon evolve even if it is a bit grim. Sure, Pokemon already evolve regardless of fainting if it levels up, but I don't think we've seen a Pokemon evolve because it fainted.
  8. Guile's Critical Art and Theme have been revealed! I especially like the part where Guile pumps his arms with the power of America to do his super.
  9. Sometimes I wonder why I even play this game.
  10. WELP, that idea fell through. Sorry, hope I didn't get your hopes up.
  11. Godai: Elemental Force I'm not even sure where to begin with this turd of a game. Even when I was only about 10 when I first played it, I could recognize how bad a game this really was. Everything about it felt so clunky and gross. Enemies didn't really vary in design, and when it came to difficulty it could either be ridiculously easy or unfairly hard. I wasn't even able to finish it as it was just plain, bland, and unappealing all-around. Terrible, terrible game.
  12. I MIGHT be able to help in regards to a Fancy pattern. Again, I stress might because this is probably going to be me trading with a friend to get it.
  13. I'll be honest, the only reason for me ever buying a Wii U was for Smash 4, Pokken, and some of the recurring titles (Mario Bros., Kirby, etc). I'd like to give Bayonetta 2 a try, as well as Wonderful 101, but they're both honestly just games I can wait for. Heck, Smash 4 didn't even spark my curiosity until Ryu was announced, and it wasn't a "I gotta have this" until Cloud came out. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game and Smash is honestly one of my favorite series ever, but I felt like the 3DS version could just tide me over for a while. It wasn't crucial to own this time around (which is odd, because Smash 4 is so much better than Brawl ever was). My Wii U also came with Splatoon. I have not touched that game once. It does not interest me in the slightest.
  14. Serenade Type: Normal Category: Status PP: 10 Power: N/A Accuracy: 70% The user serenades their opponent with a lovely song, slightly lowering their defense and special defense. The opponent will fall asleep a turn from this move's use unless switched out. Cannot be used if the opponent is already asleep. (Basically a delayed sing with a stat debuff) Quick Chop Type: Fighting Category: Physical PP: 15 Power: 50 Accuracy: 85% The user swiftly attacks their opponent with a lightning-fast karate chop. This move will always go first. 15% chance to make the target flinch.
  15. This can especially be said about the Wii, which takes up over half of the Nintendo home console panel at my local Walmart (they're still selling CoD:MW3 on Wii for $60 lol). I may live in the boonies but it's just plain ridiculous that they're THAT far behind in the years.
  16. ¡BUENOS DÍAS, MOTHERFUCKERS! Aw yeah, just being a Luchador with feathers day-to-day.
  17. I'm afraid I might become a broken record if I start saying this, but I just want them to do something with Spinda. It's my favorite Pokemon in the whole damn series and it's so god damn useless. I don't care if it's a type change, move-set variations, different abilities, or perhaps (gasp!)...a new evolution for it? I'd just like to see something done to bring it to not useless levels. I love that stupid ass dizzy rabbit-panda. They did give us a decent post-game with Gen 4, what with being able to actually battle your rival every day and exploring a new area in the region you didn't have access to, as well as being able to catch Pokemon you couldn't before. ...ok, so the only glaring difference it had to other Pokemon games is the ability to battle your rival over and over again, but at least it was SOMETHING and not something you have to connect to the network to do.
  18. It's hard for me to recall, but I do remember my first game ever being Donkey Kong 64 for the N64 when I was like 3 or something along those lines. From there, it was basically Pokemon Blue and various other N64 games that kept me in it for the long run to where I am now.
  19. Eh, I wouldn't put it past GF to possibly get rid of the mechanic. As the total list of Pokemon grow, so will the work that they have to do to provide Mega Evolutions for them as well. And even then, they still only have a select few candidates that they want to choose from on the list to even consider making Mega Evolutions for. It's just a larger workload for them in the long run. But hey, that's only like a 5% chance of happening at best. It's very likely they'll keep Mega Evolutions in the next game. It's still up in the air on who they'd choose tho. I mean, they gave Medicham a Mega Evolution for goodness sake.
  20. Kind of old news, but Russia has also banned Bayonetta from their tournaments.
  21. In terms of a plotline, the Kanto region set the trope of what most of the series would soon follow. You can look back on it and defend it to your deathbed, but even with the limited amount of technology (and perhaps time) that they had the story itself was just boring and bland. No Pokemon since (except Gen 5) has had the gall to change up the story a bit. There didn't even have to be an evil organization or anything; you could've just been a kid going on about his adventure, performing different tasks and quests along the way. Every game has followed that same generic plot: kid sets out on adventure, kid runs into evil org/villain at about the 1st or 2nd town, kid continues adventure whilst also butting heads against the evil org, kid eventually defeats evil org, kid wins Pokemon League, post-game stuff that doesn't even matter that much. I don't know, maybe it's just me being a prick, but I'm tired of seeing that same formula being followed. I kind of want there to be no evil org to combat this time around and just have it be a kid doing adventuring stuff. There doesn't always have to be an antagonist/evil being to make a game good. Look at Harvest Moon.
  22. Gen7 has the potential to bring something new to the table if they feel like going back on a more serious tone for the game. There won't really ever be another N (Gen5 was actually fairly dark compared to all the other games), but one can hope that the rival is at least someone...interesting. Perhaps mix things up? Have it be your brother/sister or another family member?
  23. I don't know why, but it kind of fucks with my head when I hear "Gen 4 remake." I'm like 'But Gen 4 just came out...uh...oh my god...'. It's been almost 8 years since Platinum's release. I feel old now.
  24. As has already been previously stated, it's all up to you in regards to how badly you want to play the new Pokemon games. If Sun/Moon hasn't really piqued your curiosity, then no, don't buy a 3DS just to play a game that you're ever so vaguely interested in. And even when the new console drops and it IS handheld, then the game and console will still be there for you to pick up at a later date. You may miss the initial launch but it's not like you'll miss the experience if you pick it up late. You also run the risk of it (the NX) not being backwards compatible which, although highly unlikely, is always something to keep in mind. Ultimately, just remember that it's your money that you make the decision with. Personally, the 3DS has offered me much enjoyed entertainment throughout my years of ownership. From the Pokemon games, to the Fire Emblem series, and even the Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy and much more beyond, it has been well worth the purchase. Solid pick-up if you're interested in any of those things and can get past the gimmicks that every Nintendo console has.
