On the website I usually order stuff on Super Smash Bros Ultimate is listed as an adventure game (avontuur means adventure in Dutch btw you can check that if you want). Smash isn't really an adventure game UNLESS the Subspace Emissary is coming back or some kind of other story-mode (maybe the spirits thing people are talking about). Assuming that Nintendo instructions to online stores of course. I'm going to look for more online stores that list genres to see if it's listed as an adventure game too.
