  1. If you set up Stealth Rock, Ciel becomes much easier. I highly recommend doing so and bringing a fast physical attacker to deal with Togekiss.
  2. I agree, Insurgence, like many games, isn't perfect but it's nowhere near Snakewood levels of edge.
  3. Honestly? I'd be down for this, considering how much death seems to get straight-up defied in Pokemon lore. We have Pokemon that can undo death itself and manipulate spirits, why not have our souls, and those of our team, yanked from our bodies so that we can continue to fight? Give us a quest or two, then bring us back, alive again, to Earth. Then again, considering how many other important characters have died so far, and how significant those deaths were, I doubt this would happen, as it would cheapen those deaths.
  4. Reborn isn't an official game, though, so why would it matter? It's not like Reborn would be an .apk posted on the Play Store; Nintendo would C&D that in a heartbeat. More likely, what would happen would be one of two options: The game would be ported and made into an .apk (or iOS equivalent), uploaded to a file-sharing site and linked only on this website, or The game would be emulated in an RPG Maker emulator. Those are really your only options, and as porting the game manually would be extremely time-consuming and difficult, the latter is more likely to happen. As far as I can tell from my research, though, the only Android option (Neko RPGXP Player) isn't compatible with Essentials, as it makes a lot of Win32 calls and functions that only work on Windows, and the same goes with mkxp for iOS.
  5. Ready to join! If possible, I'd like to use the Hotshot (M) sprite and the HeartGold trainer card. Team:
  6. WHOA AEVIUM IS IN THE SKY??? /s Seriously, though, Jan, you da best. Also, ICSW, where'd you get that pink trainer card in your signature? It looks really cool.
  7. The way I'd suggest running it, since Mega Evolution isn't available yet and Sucker Punch is broken: Mawile @ ____ (You could use whatever held item here, if we do get the Mega Stone then obviously that's the best) Adamant nature Ability: Sheer Force (If the Mega Stone becomes usable, use Intimidate instead) Play Rough Iron Head Fire Fang Swords Dance Iron Head and Play Rough are your dual STABs, Fire Fang to take out some enemies that you might otherwise have a hard time against (i.e. Poison- and Steel-types, Scizor, Magnezone). and Swords Dance to boost your magnificent Attack stat absolutely sky-high. Sheer Force effectively boosts your Attack into the neighborhood of base 105, not too shabby.
  8. I really want to use a Togekiss, but I'm almost certain that my Mystery Egg isn't going to be a Togepi. I'm willing to trade a shiny Barboach with good IVs in exchange for a (preferably female) Togepi with a non-hindering nature and IVs that are at least average. My Barboach is listed below: OT Name: Chris OT Gender: Male OT ID: 13100 Name: Yellowfin Species: Barboach Gender: Female Shininess: Y Level: 10 Nature: Bashful Ability: Oblivious Moves: Mud-Slap, Mud Sport, Water Sport, Water Gun EVs: 0/0/0/0/0/0 IVs: 28/29/30/25/4/22 I can provide a screenshot for proof if it is needed.
  9. Jesus, Jan, you're on fire with these updates! Keep up the good work!
  10. It worked for me, though I can remember getting frustrated on this one too. I'm not sure what to tell you. Did you talk to her again? Maybe she had something else to say? Perhaps she's in one of the buildings in Spinel Town?
  11. I... kind of forgot about the Treats... Tried that, Dustox kept eating attacks like they were Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Swoobat has Klutz, unfortunately, and I'm fresh out of Capsules. It does have Calm Mind, and I tried setting up on a sleeping Politoed. Got to +3 against it, but Lanturn killed me. Greninja didn't do much of anything, except with X-Scissor against Slowbro. Weezing actually managed to take Lapras with him thanks to Destiny Bond, thus eliminating the biggest problem I had with her team. Gloom's Sleep Powder combined with her and Tangrowth's Giga Drain attacks took out Politoed and Lanturn. Milotic actually died to Lombre, Fake Out first turn and Whirlpool second. Thanks to some unbelievable luck hax, Milotic didn't kill Lombre till she hit like 20% health, and Swoobat finished her. Her last Pokemon? I forget what it was, but it probably died easily. TL;DR - I finally beat Valarie through cheap tactics and raising a couple Pokemon to the level cap.
  12. So I'm trapped on Terajuma Shore and stuck trying to beat Valarie, and this is getting ridiculous. My team is Lv45 all around, and I'm still getting nowhere. I've tried raising my Sewaddle to a Leavanny, but it's not evolving from Swadloon because it's capped at 45, and when I use a Reverse Candy on it, it undoes its happiness gains. My available Grass Pokemon (I don't have any Leaf/Sun stones sadly): * The Shadow Sewaddle raised to a Lv45 Swadloon with Protect / Will-o-Wisp / Leaf Blade / Bug Bite * Nuzleaf Lv15 with Harden / Fake Out / Razor Leaf / Growth * Lombre Lv30 with Fake Out / Water Sport / Bubble Beam / Nature Power (NP turns into Whirlpool here, right...?) * Tangrowth Lv45 with Giga Drain / Wild Charge / Poison Powder / AncientPower (this thing can't seem to take even an Ice Beam without losing ~100 HP Aside from that, I have a team of Swoobat, Greninja, Blaziken, Weezing, Gloom, and Pidgeot. Gloom has Sleep Powder, but that's all she has going for her; without a Leaf Stone, she's useless. Any ideas?
  13. Mudkip. There was never any alternative. Except maybe Froakie, but I realized that one too late. EQ + Waterfall + Toxic + Rest.
  14. They both rock. Reborn is the main game here, with gameplay up to 13 gyms and a Level 80 final cap. Reborn has a more developed story than Rejuvenation, though it's got its flaws, and is based around the villainous Team Meteor and the artificially induced Mega Evolution PULSE machines. Rejuvenation has 7 gyms completed thus far, with a level cap of... 60? 55? Feel free to fact check me on this one. Anyway, Rejuvenation has much nicer spritework in my opinion, with a metric crapload of custom sprites for everything. The player characters in Rejuvenation are based off of Curtis and Yancy, two sidequest characters from B2W2 - your mom's name is even Nancy, Yancy's "TV name" in the aforementioned DS game. In Rejuvenation, you battle the malevolent Team Xen, and fight to stop their plot, involving dimensional rifts and Shadow Pokémon. In my opinion, you should play Rejuvenation first on Normal, to get used to the difficulty, then play Reborn.
  15. Yup I love Bastion, and Transistor, too. Supergiant Games are just the best. Yep, that is! And thank you all for the warm welcome!
  16. Okay, I'm stuck on Valerie. My team so far: Blaziken Lv45 @ Quick Claw : Rock Smash / Cut / Blaze Kick / Double Kick Greninja Lv45 @ Quick Claw : Bounce / X-Scissor / Water Shuriken / Facade Weezing Lv44 @ Poison Barb : Poison Gas / Sludge Bomb / Haze / Destiny Bond Gloom Lv45 @ Miracle Seed : Giga Drain / Toxic / Moonlight / Sleep Powder Pidgeot Lv45 @ None : Whirlwind / Roost / Wing Attack / Quick Attack Swoobat Lv45 @ None : Psychic / Air Slash / Attract / Calm Mind
  17. Yo! TheCaelondian here. If you prefer, you can call me Cael. I want to say, first off, that I'm incredibly happy with the quality of this game and its amazing community. Thank you, Amethyst and company, for bringing us this fantastic game! About me: I enjoy a wide variety of hobbies. I love to read; I've been doing it from a very young age. I recently started reading The Martian, and can't wait to finish it; it's such an amazing book, and for someone who loved stories like Robinson Crusoe, Hatchet or Swiss Family Robinson, it's perfect. I don't watch much TV, or many movies, but I like the Hornblower adaptations that aired on A&E; that's where I got my profile picture. I love video games. My first video game I ever played was Crash Team Racing on the PSX, and I've been a huge gamer ever since. If I had to choose just one video game to declare my absolute favorite, it'd be a hard choice - I like so many games from so many different genres, that I can't really pick a fair favorite. Overall, though, I guess my vote would be Bioshock Infinite. The amazing gameplay, story, and world are unbelievable, and the graphics are fantastic. Finally, in terms of Pokemon: I tend to use Pokemon I like over the ones that are the "best", but there's a lot of overlap, and I can't say that my opinions are entirely separate from their in-game worth. My teams in Reborn and Rejuvenation are in my signature. Thanks again, Amethyst and co., and I hope to enjoy myself here! -TheCaelondian
