They're available pretty early on too, but getting Leaf Stones might take a while since I believe you need the phone number of the Picnicker in the Route where Daycare is, and you need to get lucky for her to call you about Leaf Stones.
Sun Stone, on the other hand, you can get by winning the Bug Catching Contest - and that could happen by catching Scyther.
