    Monotype Run Update: Florinia got beaten without fainting a single of my Pokémon. Julia was definitely a bigger challenge.

    Few things feel as good as finally beating that one boss who has been hampering your progress. All that said, I really liked the Drillnought boss battle. Even if you knew what to do and how to do it it was a hard battle (mainlt because each did about 100 damage). Probably my favorite boss fight in Samus Returns.

    So when do Z-moves actually start showing up in reborn? I haven't started any new playthroughs in E17 so the only one I've actually seen is Amy's one on Azu (community release), but they're significantly easier to miss than Megas because you can KO their users.

      Then again, Z-moves might be implemented more thoroughly in E18 along with the rest of Gen 7 content and further AI fixes. I guess we have to wait and see.

       

      In that case it would be ideal for Gym Leaders to use both, especially the late-game ones, whereas early - mid-game -Leaders use Z-moves only.

       

      Yeah, most Gym Leaders in Rejuv use Z-moves right from the start: I just did a playthrough of V9 Intense Mode and even I can't remember all of them using Z-moves (Keta and Flora, for example).

      By the way, how does it work in Sun & Moon / USUM? Can you use both a Mega and Z-move in battle? Maybe you can convince Commander to make Gym Leaders use both.

      Not necessarily. When it comes to both Z-moves and Megas, it depends on how they're used. At least Z-moves can be used by any mon, while Megas are much more limited and predictable.

      I don't remember seeing Z-moves prior to Amaria. From what I understand, it's either Z-move or Mega, and since Amaria has Z-move on her Azumarill, Swampert is not Mega.

    Assuming we fight her in the Dragon's Den field I have no idea how is Saphira going to deal with prankster nature power Whimsicott destroying her team. It doesn't OHKO everything by itself, but with hazards and a little bit of help to take down Hydreigon (in case it is scarf) and weaken Dragonite and potentially Goodra, which are the only dragon types that don't die instantly to the x2 boosted priority dragon pulse or a moonblast, it doesn't seem like it would be even hard, and preparing her team to specifically not die to Whimsiccot seems like it would hurt her against other threats more than help her. Maybe there's something that I'm not seeing.

      I was joking, but if you think about it Mega Altaria actually blocks Nature Power (priority Dragon Pulse).

       

      Alakazam can solo Samson too, Heracross can solo Luna, iirc Barbaracle can solo Ciel (and Dodrio can solo Ciel)

      Huge Power Diggersby can OHKO Aegislash.

       

      Saphira also has Mega Altaria That wouldn't be the first situation where a single mon can sweep a Gym Leader.
