I don't think you should change them as they are really interesting starters. I think they are all good choices as long as you make the stones to evolve some of them available at a reasonable level.

I just started playing through the game. The game is seeming good so far. I chose Flabebe and was just wondering whether the shiny stone will be available when the other starters would be reaching their final evolutions. I do like the starter options but they could cause some problems for you given their highly differing levels for evolution (eg. spheal doesn't evolve until level 30s by which point Espurr would already have evolved. It is interesting but could cause some scaling issues. Good job again.

I can't stand macs personally. Lots of things don't work on them because they are so exclusive and have to have a unique system for everything. They don't like others it seems. I like apple for tablets, phones etc. but am thoroughly a PC person.

Are you using the RPGMakerXP animation editor or the essentials one. I'd recommend using the essentials one (accessed via the debug menu or through the editor icon in a folder that comes with essentials. It is easier to use and helps with this sort of thing.

I'm not sure how to fix the first one unfortunetly. I'll continue to work on it. I'll fix the issue with the pokeballs- I'm not sure why it happened. Did you black out in the last one? I'll fix it up too. Thanks for reporting these. Edit: Fixed last bug but not going to put in into the patch as I've also changed the map a little so it'll have to wait for E2. Mr Divergent, with the sprites for the main characters do you mean the one where the trainer throws the ball in to battle or a different one. If it is the one where they throw the ball in it is going to be improved for the next update. If there is a different one I can work on improving it too. The overworld does need some work but are you referring the the mapping, the trainers, the tiles I made or the standard tiles (or all of them I guess). Thanks for the feedback.

With the exception of scripting you can learn a lot from just playing around. I'd download RPGMakerXP (there is a 30 day free trial) and Pokemon Essentials then see what you can do. Atomic Reactor also has a series on how to use pokemon essentials.

El is a normal type trainer.

Sludge wave will change the field into a corrosive which would help you but also hinder you.. Do you have a Numel in your box. If so train it up until it gets Lava Plume which should change the field to the burning field. You can also use weather to help you given that the battle is outside. A sun boosted, burning field lava plume is going to be quite helpful.
