      Well while global warming does exist, pinning it on every hurricane sounds a bit naive to me.

      While it doesn't make much sense to blame global warming for every localized and individual phenomenon, it's a fact that the warmer oceans are, the stronger hurricanes get. And global warming does make oceanic waters progressively warmer.

      Irmas are likely to be more common in the decades to come, especially if the pace of global warming increases.

    Without spoiling too much, yes you get something later on that lets you deal with the crystal. Just continue with the story and you'll get to it eventually. Try revisiting the area around the 9th gym

    First thing I'm doing is continuing my main run, but after that I will probably replay the entire game because of all the changes due to gen 7

    If you fight Sirius at Yureyu and stay downstairs, Saphira gets captured (imo this is the best split since you learn a lot more about the orphanage and Lin from Laura). I haven't done this one personally, but I believe if you fight Sirius and go upstairs, Charlotte and Shelly get captured. You might also consider defeating Solaris' Garchomp or not a split since it affects who you later team up with at Fiore Mansion (Julia or Florinia)

    iirc you can't get riolu until you have 12 badges, so you will have to get someone to trade you one if you want one before then. I'm assuming the person you're talking about also had one traded to them

    I'm actually not too worried about it being event exclusive. Game Freak has made forms in the past that were event exclusive only to make them available normally in future games

    There's a Focus Sash hidden in the cave below the grand stairway. Both the Quick Claw and Focus Band are only obtainable on the 8th floor of the department store, which you probably don't have access to yet if you're only at the 6th gym. Edit: Here's the exact location

    You can also get heart scales off of wild Luvdisc, which can be encountered with the Good Rod in Akuwa Town, but, of course, you won't be able to reach that area until you have four badges.

      Doesn't it give you a special berry that gives you a good chance of catching a raid boss?

      Legendaries still have a really low base catch rate, but you do get golden razz berries from raids sometimes. Even so, a golden razz berry + a curveball + an excellent throw only gives you a 20-25% chance of catching one.

    From my most recent run: I don't really have a team in rotation. Instead I just replace pokemon as I go.

    I actually don't think it is possible. From what I know, you can only get Fire, Water, Thunder, Moon, and Leaf Stones from Mining and you cannot get Dawn or Dusk Stones

    I believe you get the option to return shortly before the 6th gym. Just keep going with the story and you will get the option eventually.

    You don't even have to soft reset for a Shiny Type: Null. You can continuously run away and re-encounter it

    If you're referring to Reborn, I don't think there is a way to yet since you cannot legitimately get Deoxys
