Help with Marianette Battle (Intense)
Elliot Gale replied to BlueApple's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
There are plenty of ways to go about it, mostly the use of your own mons that benefit from the field. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of Chimecho on a couple different runs, and there are technically a couple of better options than that (which have been mentioned above). It doesn't take too much to outrun Stantler and debilitate it with something like Nuzzle. Knock Off will substantially weaken Bewear by removing its Assault Vest. -

Dark and Steel types did not exist in Gen 1. The Glitch field removes these types. -
Help with a shiny stone!
Elliot Gale replied to Amb0ri's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
The first Shiny Stone is in the Whispy Ruins as soon as you can access them. One of the badge doors. -
How to destroy Fields?
Elliot Gale replied to Jaromir's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
Fields without direct transformation methods can no longer be removed. Simple as that. And yes, terrain setters have only lasted that long as of late in the mainline games. -
Locked in Blacksteeple Castle

There are two healing stars in the areas you can access at that time. I suspect you're not intended to be able to reach one of those in the first place, but either way... -
Locked in Blacksteeple Castle

The file in question is set to Intense and is currently in possession of Luxray, Weezing, Houndoom, Talonflame, Vivillon, and a woefully underleveled Froslass. Suffice to say that even if I use switch shenanigans to stick multiple Intimidates on the Cinccino and KO it, everything gets hard swept by her Houndoom anyway. There are plenty of other things chilling in the PC, including a level 40 Inteleon, but that's the entire point of the post - no PC access means no access to any of it. Would be pretty easy to drop one in the Pianolady's room or something. I'm not entirely against points of no return, mind, but I'm of the opinion that if they're going to happen that it should not be possible to save for the duration in which you don't have access to basic facilities. -
Locked in Blacksteeple Castle

So I know they told you in advance that you would be leading a resistance and all, but I wasn't expecting to get cut off from PC access and was in the process of trying to level up some newer party members. Am I just screwed against Madelis and beyond? -
I typically clear this with Focus Sash into Perish Song or Focus Sash into Curse, but debuffs coming from Sturdy mons are absolutely viable options too. Direct status is less effective for reasons you already know. Really, though, recruiting an extra mon or two for this specific purpose is infinitely less painful than trying to rely on some kind of RNG approach. Your Aggron is probably the key if you don't want to go too far out of your way. It can stick Mud Slap and/or Metal Sound, and if you have a good stock of healing items, you can give it several chances to use more.

The shiny status of a parent doesn't matter in the main games either... it's just an independent variable from Gen 3 onward. That said, no, the eggs look the same, and no, only one Flame Body counts.

Can't say I'm upset at all, I didn't even know the game was in the works until they announced they were scrapping it and starting from scratch.
-
The Shadow Vanillite doesn't act at all, near as I can tell.
-
It can be done with Protect spam, however.

I didn't find this battle to be all that unreasonable. Snarl from Mightyena weakened them sufficiently enough for everyone else to survive and chip away.

Major/Fatal Bugs V11
Elliot Gale replied to Jan's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Troubleshooting
Magic Coat reflected a Power Gem attack generated by Nature Power. That... doesn't seem right to me. edit: Nevermind, it would appear to have been the enemy's Nature Power to begin with. -
So, Smash Ultimate's best character, competitively. Who is it?
Elliot Gale replied to ShadeStrider's topic in Gaming General
It's hard to say. The competitive scene is still in its infancy, and new things are being discovered every day. Even characters that are obviously on the lower end of the power scale feel good to play and have amazing tricks up their sleeve that may give them niches in the long term. Being a fundamentally good player is more important than ever. That said, K. Rool hasn't been making tournament cuts whatsoever. It's a consistent stream of swordies, space animals, princesses, and a certain self-destructive mouse that find themselves in the finals time and time again. You do see quite a bit of variance by region, though. Characters like Pokémon Trainer are huge in the midwest, whereas Olimar has a bigger following on the coasts. -

I can't quite put my finger on this one. It occurred multiple times while I was using Shuppet to battle wild Deerling, but the game didn't crash. -
Many of the funky things I'm running into relate to Melia and Ren having access to your bag. Usage of Surf, the Bike, etc. Missing sprites galore. Speaking of, Anastasia doesn't appear to have one when you're teamed with her.

Is it me or are Grass-type pokémons arent love in Reborn?
Elliot Gale replied to Krellian's topic in Team Showcase
If anything, Reborn shows them a fair bit of compassion, handing you a Rose Incense out of the gates. Not much can be done in regards to their dreadful placement on the type chart, though. Fire, Ice, Bug, Poison, Flying... big yikes. -
The easiest springboards for breeding are Pokémon that evolve from those in the No Eggs group into things outside it, ie. Pikachu from Pichu, Chimecho from Chingling, etc. This is because members of the No Eggs group are guaranteed 3 perfect stats by default.

You should be headed to the WTC if I recall.
-
They definitely can be, like every other mon in the game. It just takes some patience and luck. Don't expect to get it before a hundred resets.
-
It wouldn't matter if you did gain the ability anyway; Turboblaze ignores Flash Fire in the first place.

I definitely came across the punch tutor in both my recent runs... must have been at the festival or some similarly late point in the game. Tailwind, on the other hand, is quite early; I taught it to a Lumineon and ended up keeping it in my team for both that and Surf.
