Honedge would just be way too overpowered even by my tastes. It learns its perfect moveset exclusively through lvlup and evolution, has the perfect fighting/ghost move coverage, and can setup fairly safely entirely by itself. If theres any pokemon that could potentially solo reborn, honedge would be a good candidate, double battles would be the only threat lol. I think the best two canidates for ghost mono run starter would be ghastly/litwick. Both are really strong but not gamebreaking by themselves and are two stage evolutions pokemon like traditional starters. Do to limited options Id probably say back it up with one or two other ghost types so that the early game is remotely playable without going past level cap. Theres always the option of haxing in something like Insurgence's delta charmander but they may be excessive.

Uh If I was to do one, Id just give myself a team of eeveelutions and commit to using only them for the whole playthrough. Been thinking about doing it for Reborn but doing a back to back run of the same game would be boring, so might do it on Rejuvenation instead.

The fountains at the hotel with the casino dont count for the sidequest. For the other fountains, try checking each side of it.

Welp just beat arceus on my playthrough using event only pokemon. This run has been ridiculously easy. No matter what boss it is someone on my team can sweep or nearly sweep them

Godmarill one shot it with Play Rough.

Yeah I never really used aqua tail either. Mainly because any fire type worthy enough of a threat to bust out the kraken is using some field to neuter water moves so you wind up using Play Rough anyways. Its still nice to have it for piece of mind.

I wouldnt be surprised if its something super late game to get solaris's garchomp's child or something like that after we go murder face on him(or more likely lin goes murderface on him in some dramatic event).

Idk about the breeding part, Im just happy with my Azumarill even without a priority move. This thing has seriously become my ace in the hole during my current play-through. Way over half of the boss fights/ gym fights that ive expected to lose a few times to tweak strategy I instead win on the first try because out goes azumarill and sweeps like a demon. It even two shot the Garchomp with a bit of careful setup. I know fully understand and appreciate this little monster and I see why theres talk about axing it in the next episode to get it later in the game.

Well yeah thats exactly what I mean by two decades of experience. I think the real value of Reborn is that its fills a niche that Game Freak can never fill. It appeals to more mature pokemon fans that simply arent GF demographic. Im just glad nintendo is going for blood after fan games

Sylveons good, but Gardevoir basically does its entire job just ever so slightly better, and I cant think of anything in the set youd replace with other than maybe Florges if you want to sacrifice some heal utility for more offense.

Just probably not on the priority list. Some other games have a working clothes shop, so its definitely possible.

GameFreaks graphics are better only because they have two decades developing The Pokemon Style.

Yeah if you keep togekiss to go with the ParaFlinch plan, you dont need T.Wave if you have it on your klefki. Theres no para clause I dont really do competitive things often, but I might put together this team just for the shear lulz potential.

Its not often we have a fight where the optimal strategy is ' if you dont OHKO it, use Roar/Whirlwind' else get swept lol anyways, yeah the slurpuff idea is great, and plenty of counters in competitive play. But will be hilarious if they dont suspect it. According to smogon, slurpuff goes great with screen users, hint hint klefki op hint hint

idk what abilities/moves you have and its been awhile so I dont remember her team, but id lead with trubbish to drop some toxic spikes, use Ekans/Mightyena/Snubull with intimidate on any physical attackers(physical attackers should just do nothing against you lol). Ekans glare against anything fast and annoying. Also Id boost your levels up by one or two. The starting cap I believe is 20, and you should be getting to the first gym shortly after you beat her(and a few surprises, I hope you have pokeballs). Early levels in pokemon make a world of difference. edit: Also two mono poison types are a bit redundant. Id probably try to find something else to replace gulpin with that might get you more type coverage.

Well now, thatd ruin all the fun right? I believe you need surf to get there, and you get surf after the last gym leader currently available. Strength is likely the next gym leader.
