  1. Happy birthday, Colin! Wish you a great year ahead, and see you soon.
  2. My idea is of Grass/Rock, Fire/Poison and Water/Fighting. Each could also have hidden abilities that aided them defensively or offensively against the other: Grass/Rock Elephant, maybe, with Solid Rock; Fire/Poison Newt with Water Absorb; and a Water/Fighting Wrasse (we've never had a fish starter yet) with Mold Breaker so it can shit on the other two despite their abilities. We can dream, right? Likely as not, though, we'll just end up with another toad, small fiery mammal, and nondescript reptile as our starters.
  3. The moves are deleted top to bottom, if I remember aright. So keep your desired egg moves away from the first slot. In all honesty, deleting move spaces from the move relearner is the best bet. If you're paranoid, you can keep talking your Pokémon out every so often and check on their moves, and delete any that you don't want. Places like Bulbapedia will give you a good notion of when to expect a level-up move, so you can take your Mon out just before or after to delete the moves you dislike. Besides, in this generation, egg moves should be re-learnable at the heart scale person. As long as it was born with a move (say Close Combat Growlithe), even if it forgets it later, it can be taught the move again for a heart scale.
  4. Accept the Lord Magnezone as our one true God. He fainted for your sins, and was Magnet Risen from the grave. His power shall Magnet Pull you through Reborn; like a compass, He shalt point the true Way. Seriously, Reborn is one of those games wherein six Pokémon is not enough to get you a complete or comfortable experience; very often one will have a full box of reserve team members to fall back on. Don't be limited to six, although you're always free to use even a Rativate if you want. Consider using a powerful starter like Greninja, Feraligatr or Blaziken which can be extremely helpful throughout your run (Gatr can be found later in the game, though, so the frog and the chicken are able your best bets) As for meowstic, it's indeed a good Psychic type for early game, but later on you'll find many, better options: Gardevoir, Alakazam and even Metagross if you're willing to put in the work to catch, raise and train it properly. (Top tier Pokemon are very rare in this game) Likewise, Lopunny and Glaceon life or on their worth later in the game! From a purely statistical and competitive point of view, Stoutland, Diggersby, Porygon-Z, staraptor and several other normal types outclass Lopunny while Glaceon is just inferior to Mamoswine as an ice type and Umbreon or Sylveon as a defensive Eeveelution. Arcanine is excellent, though. Make sure you get a Growlithe with Close Combat and level it up to lv45 before evolving it, else it won't get Flare Blitz, Crunch or Heat Wave. And PS: use Magnezone, if I haven't made it clear already. One of the best mons in the game, and magneton is available relatively early, though evolving him is challenging.
  5. Congratulations on your second anniversary, Hunter. I consider you a friend, though we haven't had as much interaction as I would've liked, for I find it very enjoyable to discuss various topics with you. Besides, someone who sincerely likes bad puns is a person who's got their heart in the right place: firmly between the lungs! I wish you many more great years ahead. All the very best, in all your endeavours.
  6. I must commend Spine. It is almost impossible to leave me at a loss for words, but he has accomplished this feat: [21:06] @Zuмi: remember when i had this as my forum avatar [21:06] @Zuмi: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Qc6koJkNtJc/VsbDUOd6f1I/AAAAAAAAB5Y/ZauLoqM9jKU/w640-h360/1.gif [21:06] entreflores: ...Bibs [21:06] entreflores: you can't be eating dinner right now [21:06] entreflores: YOU CAN'T [21:06] entreflores: say it's a dessert [21:06] Spineblade: As new trash, I'm afraid not, Viri [21:06] %Hukuna: Oh yea... I remember that Zumi XD [21:06] Spineblade: . [21:07] Spineblade: Why the hell [21:07] @Zuмi: hehehehe [21:07] Spineblade: Did I call you viri [21:07] Spineblade: Zumi [21:07] @Zuмi: LOL [21:08] Spineblade: Ehhh, four letters, ends in i, it's pretty much the same And lol no, it most certainly isn't.
  7. I'm just sitting here marveling at the transformation of the lake. And yes, I think obtaining a legit king's rock and Leftovers, alongside choice items, is the biggest thing as of now. We're late enough into the game to get them, I think. Also on a personal level, I'm sick of having a team full of lv92 meowths and phanpys keep digging up half a dozen lucky eggs but only two lefties. My fat mons need health! Also, I think there isn't a macho brace yet, is there? Power items exist, but not the macho brace, if I recall aright.
  8. SSH! That's different! Besides, I only show up to make the obligatory pun in ICSW's status-of-the-day. If there's anything else worth posting our commenting at the time, I just come in.
  9. Happy anniversary, Ama! I'm honoured at getting a mention, and downright overjoyed at your acceptance of Magnezone as our one true Lord! But seriously, it's been great fun with you around, and I wish you a great year ahead.
  10. No worries, and thanks for the appreciation. *whyamIhereohIknowit'sbecauseIcan'treadmoretodaywithoutbraindamagesoIwanttokilltimewithoutthinkingandthisisthebestplacefornon-thought*
  11. Hasn't stopped GF from dumping a shit ton of dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes and electric rodents on us (Sorry, Michael.) In fact, they seem to like repetitions of the same animal concept: Tentacruel and Jellicent, Tauros and Bouffalaunt, Tyranitar and Tyrantrum (to an extent), and so on. I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see more goats and crocodiles and bears or whatever, and would still be unhappy if there isn't an actual dolphin Pokémon. Even in the actual thing, not just these fake game leaks.
  12. Hello and welcome to Reborn! I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here.
  13. You don't have anything faster than base 100 speed. Try a Crobat, Noivern or Jolteon for some fast cleaning-up. Mamoswine, Crawdaunt and Arcanine also have strong Priority moves like Ice Shard, Aqua Jet and Extreme Speed respectively. You could also try Galvantula with Sticky Web or Magnezone with Thunder Wave for speed control.
  14. Why am I putting these in a spoiler tag, this whole thread is spoilers. Anyways..
  15. Don't diss on Scizor! *Bullet Punches to the face* But yeah, personally I'd like a Steel type Eeveelution, as stated earlier, but we do need more ghost types. Ghost/Rock fossil Mon that wasn't fully revived or something idk?
  16. I've seen Shofu, Joey, Emvee, Old man Jamvad, and a few other competitive channels. I've also seen JWittz and people who do Free for Alls, like DuncanKneeDeep and co. I don't much care for all the shiny hunting and stuff.
  17. But... The snowflake looks so pretty floating... Poison Heal on Goodra, and maybe Intimidate Mega Houndoom, BC Solar Power is less than ideal.
  18. Why not have MEGA MAGNEZONE? Right, also: MEGA LUXRAY (Can't do any drawing sorry :/) Type: Electric/Dark (long live the king!) Ability: Strong Jaw HP: 80 Atk: 150 (+30) Def: 94 (+15) SpAtk: 105 (+10) Spdef: 94 (+15) Speed: 100 (+30) Oh yes, about time some good old Gen4 mons got a much-needed Mega. Luxray is a prime example of something that can go from hefted to hefting, like Lopunny, with the right mega. Regular Luxray has an excellent set of abilities in Intimidate and Guts, as well as a powerful enough Attack and a usable Special Attack with a good set of coverage in the elemental fangs, Crunch, Superpower, etc along with STAB Volt Switch for utility. However, its power is subpar today, and it is also only as fast as Bisharp, with no priority and less-than-excellent bulk. This Mega seeks to fix that. A significant boost to its attack and a slight boost to its special attack bring it to currently acceptable levels of power while also making a mixed set viable. The boost to its speed puts it on par with other powerful wallbreaker like Mega Gardevoir and the Charizards, while improvements to its bulk allow it to take a few odd hits better, especially with Intimidate as a pre-mega ability. The ability matters. We could give it Tough Claws like every other mega, seemingly, but if there's one strength that big cats have, it's a Jaw-dropping (heh) bite force. With its new Dark typing, Luxray can abuse a Strong Jaw boost to a STAB Crunch to rip through teams like Mega Shapedo, with access to a boosted Ice Fang and Fire Fang as well. I also feel that, like Lopunny receiving HJK with its new Mega, Luxray should receive Flame Charge (from Pyroar, maybe?) or some other way to boost its speed.
  19. Popped in BC why not. Luxray is based on a lynx, yes, because of its ability to see through things with X-ray vision, which ancients believed the lynx was capable of with its penetrating gaze. But yeah, I agree that physically its features are more leonine. But yeah, I do not really want more cats and dogs, even though every generation has at least one line based on some feline or canine. Pn an aside, Mega Luxray Dark/Electric with Strong Jaw Crunch and Ice Fang, along with Wild Charge and Superpower Y/Y? Long live the king.
  20. Beryl holds the library though, so they have an edge maybe? Or they could use whatever cars or buses or Tauros or Gogoat or whatever. From a player's point of view, having a staircase would be a really nice shortcut, I agree...if we ever have to walk again when we can simply hop on a POWERFUL STARAPTOR!
  21. Viri used Volt Switch!

  23. Dialga, Palkia and Giratina all walk into a bar. Dialga orders car oil, Palkia orders water and Giratina orders for 1000 mortal souls. When the barkeep asked Giratina to repeat the order, Giratina ate him and said "999". The end.

Nah, I already sold my soul a long time ago to Giratina in exchange for math powers.

  24. IMO we have too many dogs and cats. And I loathe mosquitoes, I hope they are never given a Pokémon incarnation else I will SWAT them all. Although it is likely that a mosquito Mon can make its way into Gen7, as it looks like it is based off a tropical/Mediterranean place, which are full of the buggers. Mosquitox, the Bug/Poison Pokémon, with the ability Swarm and moves like Poison Jab, Infestation, Bug Bite and Giga Drain makes sense. And yes, Masquerain, I did make my creation a Water/Steel Mon. It's written in the top right :]
  25. If there is an Infernape sitting at a typewriter and it uses Nasty Plot, will it almost surely kill off Cleopatra, Rosalind, Juliet and everyone else in the second page itself?
