      In our defence, both the size and colour of the central eye is way out of form when compared to the eyes of Magnemite and Magneton, and even the other eyes of Magnezone. It's only natural that one might assume it is a stationary nose marking, especially if, like me, you hadn't played Gen 5 and barely watched the anime.
