Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory The Night of February 3 The previous day and the day earlier were busy days for everyone. After all, the Red Roses' Society, the leading organization managing the Valentines' Day Celebration, had started organizing the activities and preparing the decorations such as banners and tarpaulins, merchandise to sell in the activity, and getting people to work on their assigned tasks. [In the Arts Club Room] "You're working on the decorations for Valentines'?" Digital Amber asked Candy. "I thought you weren't planning to be a part of it at all." "I did say I wouldn't date anyone this Valentines, not stop from helping Valentines' Day lovers." Candy answered. "The reason why I decided to opt out on dating this Valentines' is because I believe that love is a sort of psychological suffering. After all the times I wished I could have not fallen in love with someone who hurt me, I decided to simply wait for the right time to find the one for me and I don't really think that this is the correct time for me. I hope that someday I can mend this broken heart of mine." "I sure hope so." Digital Amber said. "I hope you have fun!" [In the Warehouse] "I've finally gotten access to the school database. Amazing! Now, it won't be such a pain to hack into the Red Roses' plan and destroy Valentines' Day." Corso grinned as he looked at the monitor of his laptop. He checked the time. The other members were supposed to arrive later to get the information. By other members, he meant the ones from the Heartbreaker's Club, who had hired him for his informational skills as it was instrumental in trumping Valentines'. He wasn't really agreeing with their goal because he wasn't against love, but it seemed to be a fun enough challenge, and although he didn't Corso on request, he had another reason to do the job, which remains a secret to him alone. The door to the Warehouse opened slowly. Not turning his face to the door, Corso asked, "How are your plans coming along? I managed to hack the database as you asked." "That didn't take much evidence to find reason to arrest you." The voice of the person at the door echoed in the walls of the warehouse. Corso, surprised at a different voice, looked up immediately. He saw Roswell with his tape recorder on to record that single statement. "Damn." Corso swore as he tried to get his laptop and make a run for the door. Unfortunately, Roswell caught him before he could make a clean break as he guarded the door carefully. "You're under arrest. Anything you say can and will be used against you." Good evening, everyone. As the Game Moderator of the game and the President of the Reborn Mafia Club, I would like to express my thoughts on the matter. Please bear with me as I'm far from perfect, but I'll try my best to resolve this. I believe that we shouldn't pin the blame on anyone. It does us no good to do so at all. Instead, I would like to tell this story first in relation to my message. As you've all known in the backstory I told you several times, I found Mafia in the late ends of May 2017 as I was browsing Pokecommunity. The game was fun and interesting, and this encouraged me to create my own game in Reborn Forums because I wanted to share this fun with the community I've grown fond of. A few games later, the playerbase increased and I became interested in creating a Discord to provide a safe and enjoyable haven for those who play the game and are part of the community. Nearly 8 months from the start of it all, we've now grown to be a large enough community and we've made a lot of progress through the months along with our mistakes. What I wish to tell you from that story is that I started this all because I wanted to give an avenue for people to find enjoyment and entertainment in the midst of their busy schedules or to simply offer the best of fun to those who play it. I also created the Discord in the hopes of creating an environment for those players to find a place where they could express their feelings outside of their hometown and a place where they could be a part of a loving family. I didn't set out to start everything to create animosity and hate between others. As much as Mafia may be a game where people can accuse each other and find problems with one another, I didn't and don't want this community to be toxic and divided like other communities. I wish this place to remain healthy and vibrant with life, where everyone can learn to find friendship with other players through the competition of Mafia. Thus, in the midst of everything and for the future of all Mafia games, I want to tell you to remember the greatest rule in this community, more important than the other rules like no nightposting: RESPECT. This is the value I want to emphasize and the value that symbolizes our community. Respect means being considerate of other people's feelings and not trespassing them to the point that you begin hurting them. That doesn't mean that I oppose scumhunting and accusations; instead, I tell you to think before you post first of whether your post embodies the spirit of respect. Steer clear of personal insults and hurting remarks because they're not part of the game. People like me may not be so much affected of strong accusations, but people have a varying degree of tolerance, so please be sensitive as you post. This not only applies to this mafia game, but also in real life. On the other hand, respect also means that you try to understand others before you judge them. They may just have a certain incident that influenced them to have this type of personality or they simply have that innate characteristic. After all, to really understand someone, you must learn to see every side of someone and be able to accept what is it them. I hope you can all accept this. On the notion of the game's resume, after much thought, I have decided to continue the game because it would be unfair to both parties - to me as I have given a lot to create this game and want to see it continue and to you, players, who joined this game to have fun and experience. I also believe that not continuing the game doesn't benefit anyone and I don't want to simply leave this game as part of a dark history of our community. Instead, I implore you all to give the game a second chance starting from N2. I want you to make this a turning point for us to improve as a community. If you do wish to leave, I won't hold you to that, but I'll be very happy if you stay in the game. Although the problem has already occurred, it's not too late. I hope that you can help Quinn and Alisae in any way. I value them both as members of our community and I don't wish this incident to be a very bad memory for them to keep in Reborn Mafia. However, the effects may be used differently by people with differing alignments, so it may or may not be dangerous to give a chocolate to the wrong person or accept a chocolate from the wrong person

So, it seems that Paul and soso are our primary choices today? I believe that Paul seems genuine at the very least. The doubt on him being sure the gun is real isn't so justified. I feel that Paul may simply be a day vigilante or a deputy or something that can shoot in the day. Meanwhile, sosobean is hesitating and trying to delay things further. Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory The Day of February 2 Azurine University in the mornings was filled with the sound of boisterous laughter, idle chit-chat, and people simply moving about in droves. The morning of February 2 had all of these criteria for a regular day in the university, yet the halls seemed to be louder than usual, perhaps it had been the preparations for Valentines' day, but several different scenes were unfolding. [In the Courtyard] A few seniors were gathered around EndearingCharacterTrait. He seemed to be down, as if there was nothing that could cheer him up. "What happened to you? Why do you look depressed?" Alistair, one of the nicer seniors asked. "I-I wanted to befriend some people last night in the Dorms, so I visited the Dorms, but guess what, I tripped in the entrance and fell into the puddle of mud right outside and now, they're all making fun of me." EndearingCharacterTrait said. "Now, I can't be friends with him." "It's okay. You can make them like you again." Alistair reassured. "No! I don't think you understand, Alistair." EndearingCharacterTrait said. "This incident is gonna be remembered by everyone. My time to shine here, especially on Valentines', is over!" And he left, leaving Alistair and the other students down as well. Meanwhile, a student peeked from the side of the wall. "Damn. I got the wrong person. Oh well, I couldn't time it well enough to catch that person because a lot of people also wanted to visit that guy. He seems to be a whole lot popular. Next time, then." [In the Arts Club Classroom] "Hey, guess what!" Candy cheerfully said. "What?" Bazaro and Digital Amber inquired. "I'm swearing off dating this Valentines'. All of it is just a mess, especially in Valentines', where people just date casually and break up in one, two months." She remarked. "I'm thinking that I rather focus on club activities than all this love business for now. No one gets hurt with art, after all." [In the Canteen] "This is so romantic!" A boy looked on to a couple sitting a table across him. The two were feeding each other, taking turns to give a piece of cheesecake to the other. "I knew they suited each other well~" Meanwhile, other students nervously glanced at the pair. The two seemed to have nothing between them except friendship the other day, yet they were so much in love with each other. [In the 3-A Classroom] "Hey, are we all just going to stand here and not approach the body?" Newt, the curious Freshman, asked as he glances at the unconscious junior laying down in the middle of the room. "Be patient. We have to wait for the emergency response who told us that we shouldn't touch the body. They're heading here in a minute." Castiel reassured Newt. He then looks at the unconscious junior, "Besides, he seems to simply be unconscious." "Oh, come on!" Sosobean, the third member of their trio enthusiastically interjected. "We're supposed to check if he has any beans on him!" Newt and Castiel became silent and looked at him curiously. "Again... with the bean jokes?" Newt asked. "Little Newt, I'm trying to make the mood lighter here." Sosobean responded. "Besides, beans are better than newts. :v" The three's conversation was interrupted by the arrival of the emergency response. "Make way, please." Two investigators, Roswell and Alisae, had entered the room. They immediately checked the unconscious senior. The senior was identified to be Sailboat, the former President of the Shipping Club before it had disbanded due to a lack of members. Alisae noted that the man was simply unconscious and he would wake up soon as he had a normal breathing and pulse rate. On the other hand, Roswell inspected the man's items and discovered two pictures, one of Newt and another of Castiel. It seemed the man was still shipping even when the club was non-existent anymore. Good habits die hard, they all say. Roswell thought. "Alright, folks. The problem has been resolved. Go on along to your classes, please." Alisae spoke up. "Those who will be having classes in this classroom shall have it moved to Room 309 instead." The crowd left the room disappointed. Perhaps they wanted something more inriguing than just a mere fainted student. When everyone left, the two investigators closed the door. "Okay, we know that the case hasn't ended yet." Alisae said. "What do you think happened here?" Before Roswell could respond, the man they were talking about woke up. "Where... am... I?" He asked in a dazed manner. "You're in the 3-A Classroom. Apparently, you were unconscious earlier." Roswell stated. "Why were you here and what were you doing before this?" "I- I can't remember." Sailboat said as he tugged at his head. "My mind's empty last night, save for one thing. I've fallen in love with someone. I have to find them!" Sailboat said as he ran to the door. "Wait!" Alisae said, unable to stop him. "Fell in love? With who? And what about shipping Newt and Castiel, and other students?" "Don't have any time. I don't care about any of that shipping thing. Never had, never did. I need to find my sweetheart before she leaves me again like last night." Sailboat hastily replied. He left before any of them could react. "What's happening here?" Roswell said. "After all those other incidents I've heard of, this seems to be the most suspicious of all." "Agreed. We need to investigate on this more." Alisae remarked. "Something ominous is unfolding. The antique lamps shining the dark alleys outside the institution and the colorful trees of red, blue, green, and yellow - all artificial, yet seemingly natural gave way to a sort of exotic beauty. Furthermore, the features of Azurine Island enhanced the institution's charm as it was situated in an area overlooking the deep, glimmering waters and the pristine, white sand of the island. The school's premises were comfortably quiet, except for the Institution's Dorms which were bustling with activity. It was the start of February and two weeks before the university's signature special occasion, Valentine's Day - a widely celebrated holiday in the school ever since it had started business in 2010. Several people were making preparations for the day. Some were baking chocolates, preparing a chocolate for either their friends or their crushes as Azurine University believed in the principle that every day in February was a day for Valentines. Others were conversing with their peers enjoyably, laughing boisterously in their rooms. Some others were thinking differently. A few of the students gathered in a room. They sat quietly until one of the students spoke up. "I believe we're all gathered here for the same reason? That is, we wish to crush Valentines' or at least, change it to the way it suits us. After all, we cannot agree to the idea of Valentines' present in the university as of late. We may have different motivations, but I hope we can work together for this goal.
