Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory The Night of February 9 The day was marked with a conflict. The Arts Club had made a banner for the upcoming Valentines' Day; however, in the morning, they had found the banner laying on the corridor directly outside of the Seniors' Area damaged - torn to tatters, painted with dirty colors, and intangible to anyone who saw it. The Arts Club was furious at the deed and they were determined to find out the source of this atrocity. They had called on Roswell, one of the seniors who might have a clue on who might have done it and also a member of the Investigations Team. When Roswell arrived, they had expected him to solve the problem, yet all he did was laugh at the mess. "It's fine ~" He said. "The Arts Club can make another one." And that simple comment caused everyone to turn on him. It began with a single remark speculating that he might have done the crime and another which suspected him of being a member of the treacherous Heartbreakers' Club. "I'm not mafia." He exclaimed. "You have no proof!" No one listened to him. And they had taken him to be publicly humiliated by forcing him to create the banner on his own. Most had left after a few hours, but if one really paid attention, they would notice a single bean peeking out of his pocket, possibly the reason for his one-time high. Meanwhile, NickCrash was approached by several girls for advice in the upcoming Valentines' Day, yet all he did was avoid them and not give them the answers they wanted. Thus, the grand Matchmaker decided to demote him from the hierarchy of leaders. On the other hand, Newt was troubled with one of his many lovers. One of them was really silent and did not say a word for two days. "I don't like silleeeeeennnccceeee." Newt said. "Stop playing Spam Ville on Facebook and talk withhh meeee!" But the lover did not listen, so he decided to evict this lover from his harem. Sosobean was brokenhearted. He was Roswell, the Red Roses' Sensor. Castiel was modkilled. He was stealthily moving along the university's corridors in the dead of night. Why he was exploring the school at night wasn't clear even to him. He had heard of a Valentines' Cult forming slowly in the unseen sides of Azurine University and he was there to stop it as he had heard rumours that it grew out of the assistance of a love potion, deemed to be illegal in the language of love. He carefully stepped slowly inside one of the classrooms. He was there to stop another person from falling madly in love with this facade of a lover. He knew nothing about the identity of the leader of this cult, but he was hoping to at least help despite this lack of information. He entered the classroom, but suddenly found himself tripping. He looked up and saw a guy. "Oh, hi there, Paul!" The guy gleefully said. "I lied about the whereabouts of that perso. You're gonna be with me for tonight; however, you'll be broken in the daylight~" Meanwhile, the Cult Leader took the unconscious student in his hands. This unconscious student was brought by one of the members, fresh for conversion. He took a container of liquid and placed it in the student's lips. I think that the reason why this is all so messed up is because you're all caught up in the wrong idea that either I or Lykos has to be mafia. I've told you already that I believe that both I and Lykos are town; the only problem is that you don't trust me because you don't see the Driver saying anything about my innocence. Look at it this way, why would I claim Doctor? If I were Town, I would have claimed because I'd have died without a chance to survive again otherwise, whereas if I were potentially killed on a night, I would still be saved by other time travelers. If I were Mafia, I would have claimed to bait the Doctor out and get their information. In both alignments, I would have claimed but what sets the difference is that I wouldn't have gone out of the way to claim Doctor, knowing that I could simply counterclaim Lykos as the Detective and sacrifice myself to the lynch. Now, I see that Bazaro is calling me a liar, saying that he's sure I'm not the Doctor. Obviously, he's mafia being cryptic and not genuinely saying the full truth, so that it seems that he's counterclaim. I see him doing that to put the nail on the end of the coffin. I implore the Driver to please, please just out and end this mess. Reveal my innocence.

@LykosHand As far as I know, you're only supposed to receive "Your target is innocent." or in other variants, you gey fooled into thinking that you targetted me, but in reality, you were forced to target another player. Please, if the driver exists, please tell the truth. I know I'm definitely town. I checked my PM so many times and I know I'm the Doctor. If you lynch me now, you'll lose one of the most important roles, if not the most important. I'll tell you what I think: Megagun's and walpurgis' votes are both weird and their actions seem just sheepy to me. @LykosHand I have little time before class starts, but with being accused, I have to defend myself. I'm the Doctor and I protected Drakyle last night. I didn't want to claim because obviously it puts me in danger, but there's no way this wagon is turning around me if I just use words. I'm not sure how I showed up as mafia in your version: I see 2 possibilities. (1) You're really the Cop, but driver switched me and an actual mafia. (2) You lied about everything, just to get me lynched. The first possibility is more likely though. I believe that at least a few of mafia are on my bandwagon.

@Alaris Oh... really? I just had fun solving the code, so I didn't really think of any underlying purposes for it or I maybe missed it. Do make another code and I'll solve it again, but privately this time. Hopefully, I don't get killed because of this

Sleepy rn, but from what I've read on the thread, I'm inclined to have a townlean on Alaris for now. I don't see him coming up with such a code as mafia, although that may be plausible if he was more experienced. On the other hand, I'm placing a null on everyone else despite the info some have given. I'm not sure what to think about Mega's stacking on Lykos. Even if he says he's doing it to save his hide, I don't think you'd do that so early in the game especially when there are only minimal one votes on the table

He sent off each letter with an intent of making people smile and happy despite the bitter and sad feelings that always popped up during Valentines'. Especially now when a lot of heartbreaks were happening, Hooligan felt the need to cheer people up. But his letters sent the wrong message to the people. Initially, the letters were fun and entertaining to read, but the Heartbreakers' Club interfered. They had inserted a suspicious message among all those letters and nobody really noticed. He kept sending letters of love and peace, but these letters were met with hostility and hatred. Some people didn't appreciate the jokes. Others didn't really care to find out the truth of things. Others were unnerved by a simple "Good night". Yet others reveled in this chaos and made use of it to ruin the credibility of these messages. Hooligan revealed himself as the sender, but his calls of peace were disregarded. He became brokenhearted, found it hard to speak in light of the accusations he was facing. Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory The Night of February 5 Jace Stormkirk continued to spy at the couple he had made instantly with his amazing love potion infused with love hormones, sugar, and a hint of happiness. He had chosen the studious Divergent and the artistic Digital Amber to be his dream pair after checking the alphabetical list of students. Divergent said to Digital Amber, "I'll go now. Class starts in a minute. See you later, love." Digital Amber smiled and embraced the boy. "Take care." The two separated and Jace Stormkirk left, smiling at the affection they had for each other. Little did he know that everything would crumble soon. Divergent walked along the corridor, smiling to himself as he imagined the way the date he had with Digital Amber in the coming weekend would go. He imagined the other's joy and bliss as they would trek through the Botanical Garden of Soso and enjoy the grandiose Alice Stared Museum. As he walked, he felt a sudden tug on his shirt and seconds later, he was dragged towards an empty classroom nearby the area of the corridor he was on. His eyes were covered for a moment, but his captors had opened his eyes immediately. He did a quick 180 of the room and saw three other students, each with a serious look on their face. "W-why am I here?" He nervously asked. "You're here because you're supposed to be a part of the Heartbreaker Club." One of the students said. "Heartbreaker Club? Why would I be in that? I'm in love with Digital Amber and I don't want to ruin our love because of this petty club." He uttered with a hint of disinterest in their claim. There was no way he would have been a part of that silly group. "See, I told you something happened to him." "I see. Maybe whacking him in the head works." The two other students whispered to each other and they then took a book and whacked Divergent in the head before he could notice. "OUCH!" He yelped as the book collided with his brain. He paused for a bit from the pain, but there seemed to be a change in personality after the whack. "I-I what?! What happened here?" The others explained the situation with Digital Amber. "That's preposterous! I couldn't have fallen in love with another at this time in my life nor would I be swayed by such a love potion." He first said, yet after further explanation from the leftover data they found in Corso's pocket before he got arrested, he believed it. "Now, with that all said, I think it's time to break your bonds with this Digital Amber. Break his heart~" ===== Divergent left the room ready to lay pray to Digital Amber, yet he was stopped by Lykos Hand. "Will you marry me, dear Divergent?" He had said, a smile on his face as he knelt down and proposed to the guy. Divergent was about to decline then an idea popped into his mind. This man was going to fall for him too much and when he did, he would break his heart. He accepted the proposal with a smile, but things were not going to end the way he wanted. ===== He stayed at the Arts Club Room with Digital Amber. He was going to end everything in a serious way as to not damage his reputation, but in a way that would hurt Digital greatly. "I have something to say to you." He said. Divergent felt a pang in his heart. He wasn't having any romantic affection, yet he felt some sort of pain in his heart. After all, he had come there to break a heart, but he became the victim instead. He stormed off the room, unable to react properly to what happened. ===== Divergent ran along the corridor and found LykosHand instead sitting on the ledge. He wasn't hoping to break the heart of the man at that moment; instead, he had hoped to be consoled by his kindness. "What happened?" LykosHand worriedly asked. "I-I don't know why, but I got into a relationship with this Digital Amber of the Arts Club and I was planning to end it already, but he ended it before I could. I don't know why, but I got more hurt than I expected to." He honestly uttered in a moment of sadness. "That means you cared for him than you let on. I-I'm sorry, but I can't be with you. You're not the one for me." LykosHand disappointedly said. "I hope you had fun messing with our hearts." And he left leaving Divergent brokenhearted.
