In most of the history of Reborn Mafia, we have been hosting several role madness games or games that are more or less centered on heavy role interaction during the night. To go for a change this time, I will be hosting a series of games that aren't as complicated as previous games; the Back to the Basics series will feature varied setups which have simplified mechanics and roles and focus more on day phase discussion. I hope that you will be considering entering! Although it may be simple, rest assured, it will be fun as long as you're interested in discussing. Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory Valentines' Day Celebration Alistair and Eviora smiled to each other. It was the last stretch before they succeeded in pursuing the love they had always wanted. True love. They had two goals before the Valentines' Day Celebration started - to confront Castiel and to talk with Candy. They approached Castiel. Alistair said, "Thanks for supporting us yesterday. I know the change we want is radical and it required many compromises and sacrifices for it to happen, but you supported us, although our goals were never aligned with each other. Thank you. It really means a lot to us." Eviora continued. "I know it's hard for you to avenge Newt and maybe you aren't in the mood for a celebration, but I hope you can come to our celebration later. It will be really fun." "Thank you. I'll consider it, but I believe in your love. Pursue it. Conquer it. Succeed in it." Castiel answered. The two had left with a smile on their face. They then headed to the Arts Club Room. Only Candy remained there. The other two, Digital Amber and Bazaro, were heartbroken and couldn't bear to do anything for the Club or Valentines'. Alistair began the conversation. "I'm sorry it had to come to this. Even though most of you had good intentions, I couldn't let the chances of your group vandalizing the Valentines' Day Celebration happen." Candy replied with a sad smile. "I-I couldn't do anything to stop you. I promised to swear out of love, so I j-just couldn't do anything drastic to take your love out of the context. I offer you my sad congratulations." Eviora spoke up next. "I know it hurts and I know we betrayed most of student body, but if you're available tonight, would you come to the Celebration? We're there to show you what love truly is. What it really means. What we want to show you." The two left without waiting for Candy's reply. They still had a lot to do before the celebration was ready. After all, they had only planned things together in secret, so that they wouldn't be discovered by either of their groups. But now that they had established their own success, they were ready to share it with everyone. The Night came and they stood in front of the Valentines' Day Function Hall. Several individuals were standing in front of the door, waiting for them to stat the event. "Thank you for coming here. Have fun in the celebration!" Alistair and Eviora said with smiles on their faces as they cut the ribbon to begin the event. When everyone was settled into the the hall, Alistair began his speech. "When I found out that the Heartbreaker's Club was going to destroy Valentines on their own means, I knew I just had to protect my beloved, Eviora. I joined it in the hopes of being there to not let them do anything drastic. I was tempted to just end Valentines' Day with their plans, but after seeing Eviora's smile, I just couldn't do it. I knew we had to share this celebration to everyone. To show you our love." Eviora took the microphone and began speaking. ""Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres," a person once said. I know that we had to take drastic measures to accomplish this event. To everyone who was hurt or offended, we apologize for it deeply. I hope that you can see that we did everything out of a pure desire and that you might find the meaning of love in our celebration." The both of them smiled and said, "We formally welcome you to this year's Valentines' Day!" The two left the podium and went to the backstage. They embraced each other with gratitude that they had succeeded. Nothing was sweeter than victory. "We're always gonna be together forever, right, Eviora?" Alistair whispered. "For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." Eviora smiled as she kissed Alistair. And so, no one could break their love apart from each other. Not even the Keepers of the Onyx Arcade. Purplecicada believed in true love. They were Castiel, the Third Party Cthulhu. Alistair did a lot to get to this victory. From betraying mafia and tricking them that she had nothing to do with a certain Jace at the start to betraying cult by taking them all out when they had left themselves vulnerable to taking out the rest of the town, he had exerted a lot and he succeeded. Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory The Night of February 13 Alistair and Eviora knew they just had to fight for their love together. If they supported the Red Roses' Society, they would lose the essence of Valentines' which was to value true love because of the fact that a lot of people in Valentines' Celebrations simply engaged in fliratatious or lustful love. On the other hand, if they supported the Heartbreaker's Club, the two's love would have to be broken because the club wanted to ruin everything, even their forbidden love if they were found out. And obviously, siding with Newt would never work out. Being mad in love with another person was not in their plans. Ultimately, they decided Lord Drakyle just had to go, but he and Amine had other plans. They wanted the couple away, but Purplecicada chose otherwise. True love was going to succeed, as they say. Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory The Night of February 11 Amine was one of the top organizers for Valentines' Day until he had reached a fight with some other preparation-in-charge people due to his belief that affection doesn't need to be limited to one person only and it's possible to love several at an equal level. He walked across the corridor confidently. Although he had that kind of encounter before, no one had caught his planning and scheming behind the scenes with the Heartbreaker's Club. Flirting with some other people and making them interested more in him than Valentines' was one of his tasks in the club to trump Valentines'. Unfortunately, for him, he had meddled in the affairs of Candy, and she was not going to let that just end. After all, she had experienced pain and suffering because of deceitful love. Alas, she exposed him for his deceitful flirting, especially with what he had been doing with a certain person the past few nights. Venus was heartbroken. 1. If C'thulhu is left with 2 or more townies none of whom can vote does C'thulhu lose? If we just follow your last post, the answer is yes. No. Cthulhu can and will still vote so it definitely auto-wins. 2. Are you confirming the existence of C'thulhu in this game? It's been confirmed multiple times in the form of announcements and it's also been confirmed the moment Venus could not vote and started speaking in gibberish.

In a case wherein there are two townies and a Cthulhu, and one of which cannot vote, the Cthulhu obviously wins the game. Not being able to vote is tantamount to not being counted due to parity reasons. @Eviora @Roswell

Cthulhu's win condition now is to survive as the last player alive or at least be a part of the last two, the other member of the two being town only. Of course, the town player obviously loses in that case. If the game ever comes to a 1 town: 1 mafia: 1 Cthulhu situation (only those who can vote though) during the day, the win is decided by a lynch as mafia cannot eliminate the townie unobstructed with the presence of a Cthulhu. In this case, town is lost instantly; however, ironically, they get to decide the winner faction.

Love at First Lie: A Chronicles Sidestory The Day of February 10 A secret deal was happening in the dark confines of the Heartbreaker Club's room. Two people covered in black veils were facing each other, both encouraging the other to start the conversation to have their discussion start and get ended over with early. Newt, one of those two, spoke up. "I suppose we have an agreement, right? To work together in destroying the barriers of Valentines' Day, I suppose? I know we have different principles, but we can settle that later. After all, I've already started settling matters with one of your kin. What do you say?" The mysterious person from the Heartbreakers' Club answered. "I assume that you want a harem of your own accord. Well,I don't want that. That's different from what we want. We want to abolish Valentines' Day for its impurity, but what you're doing is even more impure. I don't need this kind of deal. Begone from me." Newt unexpectedly was hurt from the statement of the person from the Heartbreakers' Club. He realized the error of his ways. "I-I just wanted to share my happiness with others. Y-you didn't have to be mean and all!" He sobbed and ran in shame. "It's almost time for the endgame. I can feel it." The mysterious person said as Newt left. "Time to make my final plans. Valentines is close." Meanwhile, Jace Stormkirk had been observing their proceedings. After his couple had broken up, he was deeply hurt and wanted to be accepted by someone else. He knew that Newt was the only chance at retribution; however, after seeing Newt break down, he didn't have a chance anymore. He fell down to his knees and began to cry. Meanwhile, the Followers of the Harem of Newt fell out of their sleeplike trance of being mad in love with Newt. They bore no memories of what had happened in the previous days, yet they had woken up with tears on their eyes, a seeming sign that the potion wasn't 100% artificial, after all. The bonds they had created over the few days was very much real. On the other hand, the person mad in love with Newt, but whom Newt did not know about was saddened at Newt's breakdown. However, they knew it wasn't good to leave things hanging and just give up because Newt lost his plans. Thus, he would live to be the sole survivor of this mess. To avenge Newt. Digital Amber was heartbroken. They were Newt, the Third Party Cult Leader. Bazaro was heartbroken. He was a member of the Harem of Newt. NickCrash was heartbroken. The Arts Club had made a banner for the upcoming Valentines' Day; however, in the morning, they had found the banner laying on the corridor directly outside of the Seniors' Area damaged - torn to tatters, painted with dirty colors, and intangible to anyone who saw it. The Arts Club was furious at the deed and they were determined to find out the source of this atrocity. They had called on Roswell, one of the seniors who might have a clue on who might have done it and also a member of the Investigations Team. I offer you a proposition. I'll shoot anyone - townie or mafia with it unless if you vote to lynch someone else. I know I'm the Doctor. Vote someone else or lynch me and lose a possible townie. I think that the reason why this is all so messed up is because you're all caught up in the wrong idea that either I or Lykos has to be mafia. I've told you already that I believe that both I and Lykos are town; the only problem is that you don't trust me because you don't see the Driver saying anything about my innocence. Look at it this way, why would I claim Doctor? If I were Town, I would have claimed because I'd have died without a chance to survive again otherwise, whereas if I were potentially killed on a night, I would still be saved by other time travelers. If I were Mafia, I would have claimed to bait the Doctor out and get their information. In both alignments, I would have claimed but what sets the difference is that I wouldn't have gone out of the way to claim Doctor, knowing that I could simply counterclaim Lykos as the Detective and sacrifice myself to the lynch. Now, I see that Bazaro is calling me a liar, saying that he's sure I'm not the Doctor. Obviously, he's mafia being cryptic and not genuinely saying the full truth, so that it seems that he's counterclaim. I see him doing that to put the nail on the end of the coffin. I implore the Driver to please, please just out and end this mess. Reveal my innocence.

@LykosHand As far as I know, you're only supposed to receive "Your target is innocent." or in other variants, you gey fooled into thinking that you targetted me, but in reality, you were forced to target another player. Please, if the driver exists, please tell the truth. I know I'm definitely town. I checked my PM so many times and I know I'm the Doctor. If you lynch me now, you'll lose one of the most important roles, if not the most important. I'll tell you what I think: Megagun's and walpurgis' votes are both weird and their actions seem just sheepy to me. On the other hand, I think Nick and Roswell are town and I'm hard townreading Alaris. Also def townread on you. Please, I implore you to enlighten your minds to the truth.
