  1. Hmm... I could get behind this. Few questions, though. Even if a few of them are as obvious as I think they are, I just want to be sure. Will this be taking place during the events of TTG? ...I'm guessing yes. What would the limits on summoning be? Or more specifically, depending on our strength in it, what would we be able to summon and how much of it can we summon? Err... scratch that second one. I think I misread that.
  2. Oh, sweet. I've got some things to go through and polish, but you probably don't have to wait long for my character. So... you know... just a heads up.
  3. Strider vs. Slumbering Giant - CHARGE! "Huh... This might actually work better than expected." Morgan said to herself. The Giant had been turning around to face her as well, albeit slowly, and on top of that, she launched a couple of grenades at Strider. If she can time this right, Ms. Belle might actually be able to use those grenades to her advantage. She had to move now, though. Like, right now. "System, prepare the EAS for energy pattern D. And don't start it up until I say so." Command Accepted... As soon as she barked those orders in, Morgan boosted upward and forward at full speed, the very place she was planning to land being right behind the grenades (as in between the grenades and the Giant, but super close to the grenades). Once she got close enough to her landing point, she spoke once more. "Now!" EAS activated. Speed is now 1 from 5. Firepower is now 2 from 6. Total stats given to armor: 4. Final statistics: Speed is now 1. Firepower is now 2. Armor is now 7. The grenades detonated not too soon after she landed and actually propelled Strider to the Giant, though, without the support from the jets, she slipped and fell backward. Not like it matters. She was sliding to her opponent all the same. Morgan pointed the machine guns at the Giant once again and opened fire, using a combination of her speed the explosion of the grenades, and the lack of traction from the ice to quickly slide to the Giant guns blazing.
  4. Strider vs. Slumbering Giant Much to Morgan's surprise, the machine guns had some effect on the armor itself unlike the railgun. It was good to know the Giant wasn't invincible, but it looked like she had even more armor in the back. Looks like Ms. Belle was going to have to take her head-on. For now, at least. There's probably something back there if there's that much protection. Ah, the joys and frustrations of experimentation. You'll never know what might happen until it happens. Noticing the volley of missiles, Morgan changed directions once again, this time speeding backward... well, more like leaping backward since she went airborne, and directed her fire on them. One by one, the shot them out of the air until the last one exploded. Not a single missile managed to touch her. That was the upside. The downside was that she was out of range with the machine guns. She knew the railgun wouldn't have much of an effect, so that was out of the question. In her short moment of thought, she found a plan that might work. She was a bit further than she would like, but that might not be a bad thing. First thing's first, though. Morgan started by completing her circle to meet the Giant face to face, or at least circle around her to the point where they're actually facing each other.
  5. Strider vs. Slumbering Giant Morgan watched as the projectiles just bounced off the Giant's armor. "Jeez, that armor is tough." She spoke softly. Then again, Slumbering Giant is an FAO. Shouldn't be that surprising that it can take a few hits. Still, it's pretty impressive that her shots bounced off like that, and it gives her an idea of the worst she's got to deal with. Morgan tried to think of what to do next, but was quickly interrupted by the next laser fired off from her opponent. And, as predicted, she changed course in reaction to the shot and almost lost balance. Almost. Luckily for Miss Belle, her jets were good enough to compensate for the lack of traction and kept her from falling and sliding around, though there was a small bit of a lag because she wasn't expecting it. Morgan then closed in just enough to get within range to use her machine guns effectively, then changed direction once again, which went much more smoothly this time around, to circle around the Giant, and opened fire. Things were a bit rough at the start, but Morgan believes she's starting to adapt to the field and began to run through a couple of ideas, looking to see if anything sounds good enough to try.
  6. Strider vs. Slumbering Giant Morgan could easily see that the Giant was ready to fight now. The fact that the weapons in her palms were charging made that obvious. "There we go." She said, glad that she got through. She zoomed out of the way just before the blasts could connect. It was a bit sudden to her, but she can't really complain. The Giant did exactly what she told her to do. Now on the move, Morgan put a bit of distance between her and her opponent and began to fire off a few shots from her railgun. She wasn't aiming anywhere in particular, though. She just wanted to test her opponent's armor.
  7. Strider vs. Slumbering Giant "Look, I can tell you're hesitating. Otherwise, this fight would've already started." Morgan stated. "I don't know if it's because I saved your life or if you have something else on your mind, but I do know that something's distracting you. Stuff like that usually leaves someone vulnerable in some way. I'm not about to take advantage of that, even though a lot of others would. Kicking someone while they're down like that... it's just so wrong." She sighed, and a few seconds of silence passed by before she spoke again. "This is probably going to sound weird, or even downright stupid, but I've gotta fight this way. I can't take advantage of someone like that and take the easy way out. I've gotta do this the right way. Otherwise..." She thought back to when she lashed out in anger against Revenant, along with a few others, then back to the first time she can remember, a truly heartbreaking moment for her, even now. "...Otherwise, I feel like this'll all be for nothing. I didn't mean to come across as rude or insulting, and I'm sorry if I did, but I had to say it. I thought you'd be stuck in your thoughts and emotions if I didn't." "I know I saved your life, but please, don't feel like you owe me anything. I only did what anyone who cared for another person's life would do."
  8. Strider vs. Slumbering Giant Morgan found herself at an awkward standoff with the Slumbering Giant. Her weapons were prepped, but she couldn't make a move. Something just felt... wrong. Aside from the Giant trying to keep her balance on this slippery ice, she hasn't done a thing. Hell, it didn't even look like her weapons were ready. "What is she doing?" Morgan sensed hesitation. Was it because she saved her life? That does seem to be the best possible answer. And for Ms. Belle to use that against her... well... that's just not right. The last thing she wants to do is claim such a shameful victory. Morgan Belle didn't get this far just to take the easy way out. No... she has to fight fair and square. And if she does lose because of this, she better not get mad. She took a deep breath and opened the comms to speak to her opponent. "Hey, I know I saved your life and all, but do me a favor... Don't hold back, alright?"
  9. Morgan - Strider Vs. Slumbering Giant Morgan looked around the arena to see nothing but a flat field of ice. And looking at the frigid temperatures to support it, she's glad she's sitting inside her good ol' Strider mech where it's nice and cozy. "It's like an ice skating rink... except we're using our mechs instead of skates." Morgan thought. It wasn't hard to tell how thick the crowd was. There were a lot of people, too... What? You thought that was what I was talking about the whole time? Oh, no. I was talking about their clothing. Most of them were covered head to toe in winter clothes, which felt like a lot more than usual considering what Ms. Belle had to go through in the Plane of Lust. She can only assume that the ones that weren't in coats either had other means of keeping warm, or were batshit crazy. She would be leaning more toward that last one if she didn't know what biomechanics could do for people. "Hold up a sec..." Once Morgan began to actually pay attention to the crowd, she noticed something. "Are they... are they rooting for me?" It took a couple seconds to confirm that. "...O-oh, wowee. They are! Heheh." She giggled as her face turned red. "Didn't expect to make this much of an impression." Still, even with how nice it felt to be cheered on like this, there was a lot of attention to go with it. That didn't sit with her too good. Made her a bit nervous. "Oh, man..." Then she noticed the big catch. "I-I'm under a lot of pressure right now, aren't I?" With a crowd this big rooting for her, there'd be a lot of disappointment going around if she lost. She began shaking as her palms became sweaty. Her breathing also became irregular for about a second, then she gained control once again. Once she did, she took a deep breath. "Focus, Morgan. The real fight hasn't even started yet." She wasn't about to break down under the pressure before the battle began. If she did, then there would be no point of her being here. "There are a lot of people watching. And if I can't win, I should at least try to make it close." Morgan's eyes then fixed on her opponent, who happened to be the same person whose life she just saved the day before: the Slumbering Giant. ...Actually, now that she's thinking about it, other than Silent Requiem, the only people she's fought are people she met the day before the fight. Hmm. Hard to tell if there's a pattern or if it's just a coincidence. Oh, well. She'd already scanned Strider just before, so there's not much to worry about on that front. She prepped her weapons and jets, and made sure the EAS was at the ready. Satisfied that everything was running smoothly, she readied herself for a fight.
  10. Uh, whoops. Guess I missed that part. Still, it's nice to have some more detail on it. I appreciate that. As for the Sylveon thing. Maybe it could be like the other mons that evolve through friendship while it knows a fairy type move (pretty sure the fangames do that anyway). Either that or you could put something in one of the nexus dungeons. Misty Terrain is a fairy type move after all. I dunno, just throwing out suggestions. That one's probably gonna have to need a bit more time to think through. Unless, wait... you already have a plan, don't you? Eh, whatever. I'm too tired to actually think right now. I need sleep. So... yeah. You're on your own for right now. Good night.
  11. So basically, if Flinching worked as normal in this, such moves would be really OP since there's an even higher chance that the opponent couldn't even move if the one using said move was extremely fast while it's accuracy was buffed and/or while the target's evasion was debuffed. Good to know it's not like that, especially since a lot of our battles will consist of more than two Pokemon on the field. It makes a few more Pokemon a lot more bearable. Try and stop us now, Togekiss! ...Actually, speaking of Togekiss, How would happiness and trade-based evolutions work?
  12. I wouldn't mind at all. In fact, it'd probably be better if we did and sorted it out because, let's face it, I never exactly tested it out myself. Also, in the games I got the idea from, the exp (star points) you would have to get to level up would always be 100, but the amount you would get would decrease every time you level up. Plus, the max level was like, 30 or something, which is why I messed with it a bit. ...But that's all for now. I get the feeling we're going to discuss this for a little while, so it's probably best to do this when you're ready.
  13. This was too good.

  14. Well, it took me a couple days to read and process this, but I'm definitely interested. Also, in regards to how the EXP/level system should go, I do have a suggestion. It's from an RP i wanted to do. You know, the one that I wanted to do last year that ended up falling through the cracks? Yeah, that one. I mean, I still want to do it, but I want to be sure I've got my stuff IRL together first. *Ahem* Anyways, I more or less took the Star Point system from the Paper Mario 64 and TTYD and modified them for use in a level-based system like this. If I remember right, and I think I do, the amount of exp you got depended on your opponent's Pokemon's level, got an increase of decrease depending on yours and their evolution stage, and you got a bonus if they were a boss. It went something like this: 21 or more levels below: 0 exp. If no experience was rewarded during battle, then they will get a total of 1. 16-20 levels below: 1 exp 11-15 levels below: 2 exp 6-10 levels below: 5 exp Between 0-5 levels away (from either above or below your Pokemon's level): 10 exp 6-10 levels above: 20 exp 11-15 levels above: 30 exp 16-20 levels above: 40 exp 21-25 levels above: 50 exp (With both Pokemon having the same amount of stages in their evolution chain) Same evolution stage: no exp change With their evolution stage higher than yours: x1.5 exp is rewarded, rounding up, double exp if two stages below. With your evolution stage higher than theirs: x.75 exp is rewarded, half exp if two stages above, both rounding down. (A 3-stage evolution vs. a 2-stage evolution) Note: I honestly can't remember what I wanted to do here, but I think this is it... Normal exp would be granted for first and second stage Pokemon if the opponent's Pokemon is in the first of it's two stages. 75% of that would be granted to a third stage Pokemon. The opposite would be applied if it was the other way around. Normal exp from first and second stage Pokemon and x1.5 exp from a third stage. Normal exp would be granted for second and third stage Pokemon if the opponent's Pokemon is in the second of it's two stages and x1.5 for first stages. Again, the opposite is applied for the other way, with normal exp from second and third stages and x.75 from first stages. And, of course, you would get a major exp boost from bosses and legendaries. How much of a bonus you would get depends on the difficulty. Well, it was something like that, anyway. Actually, I think those numbers were supposed to be a little bigger, or at least a bit diferent. This was more or less an example... and more or less off the top of my head. I didn't even look up the actual system (it's still on my computer somewhere). You're more than welcome to use it. Wouldn't be showing it if I didn't want you to. You can take it, mess with it, take stuff, add stuff, subtract stuff, multiply it, divide it. You get it. Do what you want with it. You don't even really have to use it. It is just a suggestion, after all. *Ahem* ...I'm getting carried away, aren't I? In that case I'll just leave you with this abnormally large wall of text. Good day!
  15. Happy  New Year everyone!

...Alright, now get back to what you were doing.

  16. Okay, let me just start by saying that your Scraggy is freaking amazing. Moving on... It really depends on what I'm using these mons for. I personally use Toxicroak more often because it's more convenient, especially with Sucker Punch. And thanks to it's Dry Skin ability, it can last longer in doubles and it can dismiss Scald as nothing more than a warm shower. But if I need of those to take more hits and do a sweep, then I'm going with Scrafty. If it can survive long enough to set up with Dragon Dance, then you'll have a good time. It can even do it's job of taking hits even better if you can get Intimidate on it. Shed Skin can get rid of Burns and Moxie makes sweeping easier for obvious reasons. To answer your question, though, I'll probably pick Toxicroak more often than Scrafty, but that's just me.
  17. Morgan Taken by surprise, Morgan made a sudden "Eep!" noise upon the strange girl's entrance. She wasn't expecting anyone else to show. Then again, she really shouldn't be surprised since Ricochet had made an exit. It was a matter of time until his replacement showed up. While she knew this much, the shy girl wasn't exactly thinking that said replacement would show up out of the blue like that. To be fair, though, that probably should've been expected in hindsight... The first thing Morgan noticed was Adam's anxiety toward this girl. Such a reaction sounds like something Ms. Belle would do, minus the "Oh Lord please no you didn't." line... Actually, she's surprised she wasn't feeling as much of an uneasiness towards the new contestant as she usually does, aside from the jump scare of course. That was unnerving to her, but she's doing that to herself. Other than that, there isn't much. Was Morgan's finally overcoming her shyness? No. She knows that feeling and it's with a very small amount of people, mostly family. There's something else at play. It was very weak, but she did feel strangely drawn to this girl. She couldn't explain it, nor could she find the reason why. They seemed to be polar opposites. Hmm... Strange, indeed. The next thing the new girl said confused Morgan a bit. What'd she mean she "feels funny"? The only things Morgan can think of is that the girl either feels sick or cold... or both. Cold seems to be the more likely answer. She was definitely dressed for the part, but 'funny' doesn't exactly mean 'cold', nor does it exactly mean 'sick'. Does she know what either of those things are? Maybe Morgan's overthinking it a bit. Maybe she should just suck it up and actually ask her. The poor girl is probably freezing her butt off out there. Morgan was reluctant to speak, and thus, a few awkward seconds passed by with her mouth hanging open. "H-hey, umm... Are you cold? I can lend you my jacket if you want." Morgan asked, bracing herself for the cold. She figured the poorly dressed girl would need it more than she does, but she kinda didn't want to hand it over. It was her best line of defense against the frigid temperatures in this room. That, and it helped hide her... um... her chest. She wasn't exactly flat-chested, but that was pretty much the point. If the answer to her question is yes, she just hopes this doesn't take too long, lest she dies from the cold... or from embarrassment.
  18. Holy crap! The new forum came faster than I expected. It looks great... actually, it looks friggin' beautiful. Plus, Ep. 16 is out now. Guess you could say that Pokemon Reborn has been... reborn!

  19. Morgan Morgan felt damn lucky that she was wearing her jacket, which was zipped up tight and hiding her hands in her sleeves. That ought to shield her body from the cold. Well, at least for a little bit. It wasn't like she was dressed for winter. And even then, she wasn't wearing anything on her head besides her glasses. Actually, that's the only bad part if they're not going to be in the throne room for too long. All she would have to do is ignore the fact that her ears were becoming numb and she would be fine. But despite that, the room looked absolutely beautiful. Between the color scheme and the way the ice distorted and reflected it, it was almost enough to take your breath away. But that's enough about that. It looks like she's up for the next introduction. Best opportunity to keep her mind off the cold... or so it seemed. Morgan stepped forward and made a formal bow. It was at this point that she realized that she was at the center of attention. She became nervous and noticed that she began to shake, which made her feel even more nervous. "Um... G-greetings, Mr. Ice Gryffin, sir." She said. She took her hands out of her sleeves to adjust her glasses. Good Gods, they were ice cold. Just like this reversed hell of a room. "I-I'm Strider. It's a p-pleasure to meet you." After making her introduction, she turned around and made her way back to the crowd she emerged from. Hopefully, everyone else would think that she was getting cold herself, but anyone who knows better would know that it's Morgan being... well... Morgan. On her way back, The girl noticed the oddity in Silent's left hand. It was covered in a cast. And he's gotta fight in that thing? Morgan felt bad for him. Of course, there was that one part of her that says "Serves him right", but she did her best to ignore that part. She was a bit curious as to how that happened as well. She did feel bad, though. Mostly. Despite that, she did her best too keep quiet. If Silent Requiem had as much pride in him as she thinks he does, then pity would be the last thing he needs. Morgan looked up at him for a second, then she looked down as she silently got back in line. Then she noticed the cold was finally starting to get through. It wouldn't be long before Ms. Belle was freezing like some of the others, not to mention that her ears were totally numb at this point. Luckily, she was one of the last ones to go, so with any luck, they won't be here much longer. She put her hands back in her sleeves and prayed that this doesn't take too much longer.
  20. Oh, good lord... I'm not sure if I should be excited or terrified. In one hand, I could totally abuse Moonblast, Ancientpower, and Cosmic Power among other things, plus that boost to Dark moves, and then there's Nature Power. But on the other hand, every legendary gets an advantage... especially Jirachi and Darkrai. So much could go wrong here... Also, Arceus changes it's type every turn, which would potentially make Judgment more OP than it already is. ...I think we have our rematch, ladies and gentlemen! I'm going to go with both, but I'm leaning more towards being terrified... so, yeah. Fun.
  21. Goos lord, work's had me a bit exhausted lately. What's it been, two weeks? Also, did I miss anything important?

Well, my last post was on the 6th, but it's probably been longer since I did anything major here. Still, I should probably say something next time if I think it will happen again.

That, and I did notice Lexi's last update. Actually, I think that's part of the reason why I shifted my focus last week. If I remember right, I saw it when I was looking at something during one of my breaks.

Life just gets in the way sometimes, and I honestly don't blame her fo...

  23. (OOC: I'm not gonna lie here. I'm a bit skeptical about this, but it's the best thing I can think of that would actually help. Just... someone tell me if this is a bit too much.) Morgan Morgan's eyes widened when she saw the Giant fall backwards onto the floor. She quickly got up from her chair, but didn't really do much else. The girl actually just found herself a bit stupefied, just standing there and looking over where Slumbering Giant was sitting before like there was nothing serious going on. While this situation really shouldn't be at all surprising, she was still taken aback by the whole thing. That was, until another contestant snapped her out of it. "R-right." Morgan quickly rushed over to the choking girl. She didn't really know who said it, but she's definitely thankful for it. At least now she isn't standing there like an idiot. Luckily, CPR won't be necessary just yet, or hopefully at all. What a choking person would need is abdominal thrusts to dislodge the object, which in this case would be a piece of steak, from their throat. In a simpler term, what said choking person would need is the Heimlich Maneuver. Morgan stood the chair back up. Then she turned back to the Giant. "Don't worry. You'll be alright." She said just before she used all her might to lift the Giant back onto her chair, she didn't have enough strength to keep the Giant up along with herself for an extended period of time while doing this. Once Morgan managed to sit the Giant back up, she quickly went around behind the victim, reached around with one hand over the Giant's shoulder and the other arm under the opposite shoulder, grasped her hands together under the abdomen, and pulled her arms inward, then upward. Morgan's sure she's doing this right, but the question now is will it be enough?
