Hoping you're safe and warm, Dark! We had a major flash freeze last night, so things are a bit tough for us too.

Team Name: Gradileb Members: 1. Kai Fuchs 2. G. Lane 3. Reyn Ledsh Team History: The three all happened upon each other quite recently in a raid on an AF compound. They're not close, but they work together with a strange affinity. D'mitri isn't part of the team, and remains at HQ unless desperately needed. Team Members Name: Kai Fuchs Age: 27 Gender: Female Race: Human Class: Fox hybrid Bio: Kai was born in Germany and migrated out of the rather war-ravaged country at a young age, those who guided her aiming to protect a valuable asset. Those who guided her: scientists aiming to make and sell a young and impressonable weapon of destruction. They'd tried many different children and different animals, but several had been inviable. Kai was the most promising of the first batch and was traveled around in hopes that she could be sold as a weapon. It took the scientists several months to locate the underground AF operatives. The scientists were turned away and the toddler was instead trained in small jobs around the city, mainly stealing and sneaking. When she was older she left the scientists, threatening to reveal herself to the Xystella corporations, thereby ruining the scientists' ability to create more autonomous hybrids. They left her be, and she chose to join the AF in any way possible. She's the shortest member of her team with naturally pale skin darkened by the sun she loves so much. She's extraordinarily thin but is fast and agile. A bit too playful, but knows how to be serious. Skills: Fast and agile, but pretty weak. If she doesn't take someone out quick she's in trouble. Possessions: A set of three small knives and a larger skinning/hunting knife, a hunting bag, and a small survival pack (matches, iodine, twine, a wire saw, etc.) Name: D'mitri Age: 28 Gender: Male Race: Human Class: Hacker Bio: D'mitri was a part of the early youth underground that eventually merged with the larger AF group. He worked in various web cafes, setting off cataclysmic overheats of hardware through hacks, often taking out Xystella operatives or low-level thugs and then erasing his tracks and disappearing. He helped fund the youth underground by stealing from hedge funds feeding into Xystella itself, until he was nearly caught and went into hiding, working instead to get in with AF. After the merger, he started directing intel and working to crack the internal servers of Xystella. He's dreadfully pale from rarely leaving the intel rooms, and has rather common boughts of fatigue. He's taken to using a wheelchair when big missions are happening so he can move more freely between intel and the meeting rooms. He uses down days to get more walking in. Very physically weak, but mentally strong. Skills: Knows computer language better than people languages at times, works fast, and has a decent photographic memory. Once he picks something up it stays in his mind. He imagines codes as shapes and thereby can pick out discrepancies easily. Possessions: Other than the stuff at HQ, a standard military-grade satellite laptop, a Raspberry Pi, and a small hardware kit (screwdrivers, hardware, replacement battery pack, external hard-drive) Name: G. Lane Age: 51 Gender: Female Race: Human Class: Medic Bio: G was a medic in skirmishes before and worked in a pharmaceutical company that was taken over by Xystella. She was forced to participate in research for the company before disappearing one night and hopping transit to India, where she was captured by an AF operative who recognized her from her activities with Xystella. After proving her desire to help, she was allowed participation in AF and worked as a medic for a good period of time before developing a team. Average height, slim shoulders, and skin that retains its shape despite her age. Piercing blue eyes under flowing brown hair. She was quite beautiful before the stress of the Xystella overtaking the world curved her shoulders and put lines between her eyebrows. Her stress and guilt over being part of Xystella, however short of a time she spent against her will, drives her to save lives. Skills: Extensive knowledge of the human body and small knowledge of magic, which she uses alongside modern medicine whenever possible. Possessions: Med kit, knife with a solid blade and a serrated side, lighter. Name: Reyn Ledsh Age: 672 (looks around 30) Gender: Male Race: Elf Class: Magician Bio: Though young, he has traveled the earth to gain knowledge and practice in the magical arts. He also has a decent collection of enhancers, spellbooks, and resources that he keeps locked away at HQ for when they're needed. Secretive and quiet, he prefers to end confrontations quickly. Dark, chocolatey skin with black hair braided tight against his head, often wears flowing clothes but not robes or anything too long so as to stifle movement. Skills: Good with magic, bad with control. Almost no physical/close encounter strength. Possessions: A spellbook, a talisman, and a magic-enhancing bracer.

Thank you! I've already put my character in for Aftermath, I just have to wait for someone to get back to me on my expansion of my character. It's small and rushed, but here's a doodle before bed to tell you all how thankful I - and my Pokemon - are that the welcome has been so kind and instantaneous!

I didn't think I'd enjoy reading other peoples' posts and not participating this much, but I'm learning a lot! Can't wait to get involved, though. :3

Alright. Disappointing, but I'll just keep a lookout. I don't have any great RP ideas right now but I'm trying to come up with ideas, and all the RPs available are GIGANTIC.

I'll definitely consider it! I want to get back into spriting again (most of my sprites are 4+ years old and are pre-tablet) if I can, so I might go take a look. I'd love to, if I get the chance. I'm a bit tight on time because of the whole IB thing but I do need reasons to practice my artwork. Any tips for cool threads that need activity that aren't dead? I'm getting turned down a lot tonight so far ^^;

There is absolutely no problem! I suppose a different thread told how many slots were open or I missed it, but there's no problem. If another slot opens I'd be glad to grab it. Thank you for that opportunity. I'll keep a lookout for now. Maybe develop some more on Damien. I'm using this new site to develop my writing, as well, so there's no reason to stop working on him.

I can at least hope. And if not, I can always stick around until I'm needed. I'm just sending in characters to RPs I'm interested in, do or die, with the hopes of getting a few good ones to play in.

Char. Name: Damien Blake Char. Age: 19 Starting partners: Growlithe (Flare) and Meowth (Lightning) Personality: Playful and silly, he's often not as serious as he should be. However, he's passionate and intelligent enough to play the part needed of him. He's brand-new to the war, but not to the military, as he attended a military school in the years leading up to the war, while the country was under martial rule. He was threatened with expulsion a few times in early training, but proved overall a good fit for the war as a whole, and with not enough people to ensure the safety of the country he was taken on. Appearance: Tall and lean, Damien tops out at 5'11 and has a thin layer of muscle mass. He's more suited to speed and agility than overall strength. Long brown hair tightened back against his scalp with a band and golden-brown eyes that are bright for adventure. Tanned skin, calloused hands, and mechanical knowledge come from his early years working on his family's farm, which was subsidized to the government after his father and brothers died in the infections. He's got a very light accent, only really noticable to those well-versed in southern dialect. Backstory: Damien was never spared from the details of wartime, and knew in his bones what was happening to the country he was so proud of. When his dad died he was shipped off to a military school located on Ft. Benning. The school aimed to educate kids and figure out who was good for the main military. Damien, however, was shuffled into intensive classes and training far before his peers, his logical mind lending itself to the new programs coming up. When graduation came, Damien was finally told about what loomed ahead of him, if he chose to persue the program. He took the examinations and passed, albeit with significant concerns about his ability to follow orders. He understood and interpreted what was desired of him, but he had a tendency to work independantly when that worked in his favor. Home state/town: mid west Georgia, near Ellerslie. Other/ additional details: Has, in the year of basic training and education on the GAOs, developed better skills at following orders, but lacks the ability to be motivated to others' goals. Highly self-motivated. Assigned a wild-caught partner (Growlithe) and took in a hatchling (Meowth). Was shipped out to the main group recently.

Children and Pokemon would be working together to figure the scientists out, scientists are trying to understand the environment and how the Pokemon co-exist, Infected are trying to get better or accepting their new way of life, depending on author's choice. It's not a clear good v. bad thing, it's just trying to figure what's happening out. I'll be making one of the children and a Pokemon or two who are leaders in the community, and a head scientist character most likely to get things started. Research facility is rule-based and follows the head scientist, the Rocks are pretty much communism, you help me, I help you, we all get something out of it. Thank you for challenging me to think more about it. This was really just an idea that popped up that I wanted help developing.

Feel free to use the idea! If you'd like I can edit it a bit to be a bit better. I made it probably four years ago at the least. Also, all the sprites I posted are ideas for future characters, so watch out because I might be editing them soon. Yeah, I've got some decent practice with scratching. I was trying to find some more of my old stuff but I just can't find anything. I'm signing up for a couple RP's right now, though it's pretty daunting with the amount of activity here. ((Hope you guys are still accepting!)) Character name: Eva Sharpe Appearance: Short and olive-skinned with black hair that flops in her face all over the place, blue eyes. She wears dark greens and browns, brown cargo pants, a tan belt, tan undershirt, green T-shirt, dark green jacket with chest, base, and a single sleeve pocket on her left side. She has a backpack with side pockets, a main pocket, a middle pocket, and a front pocket. She carries a notebook, a first-aid kit, a folding knife, a lighter, and a survival kit. Attached to the bottom of the bag are two folding wrist-crutches. Age: 19 Personality Overview: She's quiet and thoughtful and primarily chooses not to speak. She instead prefers sign-language, writing, or diagram-drawing. She's a bit too trusting but highly skittish. Intelligent but easily swayed as well. Backstory: She was non-verbal for a long part of her life and was born with a fatigue disorder. She used a wheelchair for a long period of time, but chose to work on walking more the older she got. When she heard about the hill, though, she promised to abandon them instead for walking and sometimes using crutches. She didn't even know if she could do it, but she managed and is now ready to tackle The Hill, which is why she's so late to the party. Her only goal: proving herself. Ability/Cost: She's got an ability to heal herself and others, but it only works to an extent, takes time to happen, and exhausts her. If she heals someone else she has to take on their malady, to an extent, and when she heals herself she exhausts herself more than healing others. She can stop bleeding, mend wounds, etc. but cannot bring people back to life or prevent scarring or remove larger problems. She cannot remove shrapnel or tumors, etc. with her ability but can cut them off from the main body, same with internal bleeding or infections.

The Rocks, that's our home. A large lake, surrounded by a lush beach, with forests surrounding it. There's space for everyone, and everyone seems to coexist. Of course, we can probably thank them for it. Four children. We found them in the mountains that ring us all in, battered and in torn-clothes Houndoom and Mighteyna carried them to the lake, Where Chansey healed them Where Spinarak wove clothes for them, Where we all worked together to make them safe And they worked together to make our lives better. Now, though, someone is ruining our peace. Pokemon started to disappear, for days at a time, and would return over the mountains, somehow different, and would have new abilities...strange, new abilities. Terrifying abilities. Character Classes Pokemon: A standard Pokemon Child: One of the Four who have worked with the Pokemon to make the Rocks a happier place. They can all speak to Pokemon but cannot speak English. Infected: A Pokemon who has been tampered with. They're angry, look different, and have strange new abilities. (Include, new second/third type, new ability such as flying, or the ability to use a move outside of their type). Scientist: They built a research building outside of the mountains and have started luring Pokemon over the mountains to be tampered with. They're not inherently evil, but they are misguided. Ideas for Rules Only two Pokemon per species, but both cannot be owned by the same person. Pre-evolutions (Houndour/Houndoom) each get two entries, but The two Pokemon can mate (not explicitly) and create an egg/pup, which may be taken by one of the owners of the parents or given to another member, with approval. Any two Pokemon can mate, and the two Pokemons' character sheets should be PM'ed to Host, who will use a random number generator to determine the species and other attributes. This applies to all matings. Different gender Pokemon can mate Pokemon can be Male, Female, or Genderless despite species. Unlimited characters, but each person must be able to post an acceptable entry per active character. Inactive characters should have a short blurb in each post about what they're doing, just to keep them in everyone's minds, and to reduce confusion. Characters' posts should be color-coded, but not with extreme colors. Para-style In-fighting is allowed, but not unnecessarily. Requests to Host can be made for Child class. Infected will have randomly-generated new abilities, looks, and negative consequences. Characters do not begin as Infected, as that will be a future plot-point. Forms should be kept and updated regularly. Adult Pokemon have full use of their moves and abilities, Adolescents are almost there but often have problems with control, Children are wild and know only a few moves, Eggs have no moves and will be hatched with one move, at which point they will retain EGG class until they learn at least one additional move.
