  1. I thought you said you wouldn't train pokemon that will get outclassed by others, I see a bunch of outclassed pokemon such as wormadam and whiscash in your box trained to level 43.
  2. What Jelly said is true, baton passing speed + another stat is not permited anymore, which kinda destroys the purpose of your team. At least we won't see more baton pass cancer on the ladder (Not talking about you, this cancer I'm talking about is teams created specificly for baton pass with espeon, whimsicott and all that shit, your team is fine, but keep in mind you won't be able to use smash pass soon)
  3. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-248162486 That's what happens when a good pokemon (aka weavile) gets a broken ability

Wait... but the tier itself is a new gameplay with its own rules, so if it's using its own rules they are not breaking the gameplay rules. Logic

  4. Amazing, will definitely try this out when it's released. Also... I can't see the screenshots, I don't know if this is only happening to me. This beta test thingy is new for me, but with some explanation on what am I supposed to do I'd be glad to help with the beta testing if you want.
  5. Cool concept, btw does it have an evolutionary line? My guess is water/dark, like... why would it have a steel typing .
  6. What's up with that tympole named son?
  7. This was a good match that I won, felt like posting because both players played really well. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nususpecttest-247574447
  8. Protean Palace is such a fun tier :]

  9. I didn't notice that I was running overgrow instead of shell armor xD, changing it right now. Trick stops malamar from switching between moves, which means that at least one of my team members will be able to deal with it. Another option is scarf haunter with destiny bond, but that makes the team a bit weak to fletchinder if lanturn is low.
  10. There has been a while since I last made a RMT, so I decided to make a fresh new one in my favourite tier: NU. I wanted to build around two cores that I love using in this tier, which are torterra + lanturn and gurdurr + psychic type. It's an offensive based team though it actually has a lot of bulky stuff, it's bulky offense. Anyways, the psychic type that I mentioned in the core above is CM barrier musharna, it works so well with gurdurr because the clown gets rid of every dark type that will try to stop your mushy sweep, and while you aren't immediately strong with musharna, the strenght of a +2 stored power is really worth it. Musharna @ Leftovers Ability: Synchronize EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Bold Nature - Barrier - Calm Mind - Stored Power/Psyshock - Moonlight/Rest CM Barrier mushy is such a threat in the current metagame, and that's why I decided to build around it. After a barrier and two calm minds you start wrecking stuff with stored power. There's only one big problem: status, even sychronize cannot compensate a toxic since it means you won't be able to sweep, so if you want to use rest over moonlight that's up to you. There's really not much to explain on the set, I decided to run physically defensive to deal with archeops better, but we have scarf rotom to KO it, and if you want to check archeops better you need to run psyshock over stored power, and with this change you can't beat quagsire 1v1 so... Gurdurr @ Eviolite Ability: Guts EVs: 196 HP / 252 Atk / 60 Def Adamant Nature - Drain Punch - Knock Off - Mach Punch - Bulk Up Sneasel is a problem, it's even getting suspected due to its ability to spam powerful attacks with its great speed tier. There are some checks to it such as mawile, regirock, carracosta, granbull, and everything I mentioned is supposed to be defensive. Gurdurr is one of the few offensive sneasel checks since mach punch OHKO's. 60 Def EVs allows you to avoid the 2HKO from silk scarf adamant kangaskhan's double edge after stealth rock. It also gives me another win condition when mushy doesn't get an opportunity to set up. Torterra @ Leftovers Ability: Shell Armor EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD Adamant Nature - Earthquake - Synthesis - Wood Hammer - Stealth Rock Torterra is the definition of a tank, it can take hits and hit hard at the same time, useful isn't it? It has amazing synergy with lanturn and also gives me stealth rock support, which is needed in every good competitive team, two stabs and recovery to help me keep it alive for as much time as possible. It's also my number one switch-in to klinklang and double dance rhydon. Lanturn @ Leftovers Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD Calm Nature - Ice Beam - Scald - Volt Switch - Thunder Wave Lanturn is in the team as the switch-in to special samurott and non EQ magmortar (for some reason magmortar is everywhere in the ladder). It also beats rain by paralyzing ludicolo and gorebyss and keeps up momentum with volt switch. Ice beam is useful to lure those grass types (vileplume, cacturne, etc etc.) I decided to maximize its special bulk because I don't think a weird spread can give me a better way of beating all those threats mentioned above. Archeops Ability: Defeatist EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Acrobatics - U-turn - Earthquake - Roost My team was slow, so I added archeops for speed control, it's also a huge threat tbh and its viability is probably going to be higher if sneasel gets banned. U-turn archeops is best archeops hands down. It can catch those doubles off guard and also does a lot of damage, because... well it's an ARCHEOPS with its insane 140 base attack lol. Earthquake is normally used for steel types, but since they're rare I use it for garbodor and lanturn. Rotom @ Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Thunderbolt - Volt Switch - Shadow Ball - Trick Yes, yes, malamar is destroying my life, trick rotom cripples it and lets the rest of the team beat it. Pretty standard spread so I won't be talking about it ok? I posted about it in the NU showcase so if you still want detail about this set just go there lol.

  12. Curious, is graterras going to have fossils like the other regions?
  13. Tbh I think you won't have many problems against the garchomp, mainly because you have some sturdy users that can do initial damage and then all you have to do is finish it off with the rest of your team, sounds like a pretty decent strategy, BUT it's still an overleveled garchomp so I really don't know. Good luck anyways, enjoying the story so far. Keep up the good work.
  14. Ubers is actually really interesting to play when you can get away from low ladder.

  15. I'm probably the only one that had no problems dealing with her secret weapon. Start mining for heart scales
  16. You can always use an ability capsule and change the nature in 7th street if you feel like using a shiny golem.
  17. School is finally over, I'm back Let's proceed to the next analysis, Rotom Smogon Viability Ranking - A- Rank Rotom is a nice pokemon in the tier due to its ability to spam volt switch if your opponent doesn't have a ground type or an electivire, but I think it should be A instead. The fact that it forces your opponent to predict correctly and also having support moves such as will-o-wisp and t-wave makes your opponent head blow. The only things that can switch-in against it doesn't like volt switch, or if it's immune to it like rhydon, it can be tricked or burned. It also has an amazing ability in levitate which negates its ground weaknesses which is nice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How can a ghost wear a scarf? Rotom @ Choice Scarf/Choice Specs Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Volt Switch - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Trick Scarf rotom is my favourite scarfer in NU, volt switch is an amazing move that gives you momentum and also hits hard, and as I mentioned, nothing in the tier can come in or it will just volt switch, remembering that it can also trick your walls which makes everything harder for your oppoenet. Rotom has a 91 base speed while its other forms have only 86, that means you can still outspeed some threats even if they are at +1 speed such as lilligant, then you can just trick it, depending on the move it locks itself in to you can switch to the appropriate check/counter. Shadow ball is kinda obligatory unless you're running the set I will be showing after this one. Another option will be the choice specs set, honestly if you want power over speed that's your choice, but that doesn't mean the specs is bad, it's really fun to use. With a choice scarf you miss some KO's that choice specs guarantees. And here's this really cool set Rotom @ Leftovers/Colbur berry Ability: Levitate EVs: 212 HP / 40 SpA/ 252 Spe Timid Nature - Pain Split - Hex - Will-O-Wisp - Volt Switch I really liked using this set in the magneton meta to provide a nice magnets check, but it's still really cool anyways. Volt switch is needed in every rotom no matter what, because momentum is important and you will want it unless you're running some kind of stall, but you won't be running rotom in a stall team anyways. Will-o + hex is a really cool combo because your opponent always expect a scarf set when they go to their rhydon/electivire/something that can take a volt switch and then you wisp them and start hexing. Pain split is good because it enables you to Recover a lot of health when you come in against a bulky thing like regirock or audino and gain all that health. Leftovers is generally the best item though colbur berry has its uses. It enables you to survive a banded knock off from sneasel and sawk from full assuming no hazards (actually, it can take a banded knock off from sawk after hazards, but not from sneasel.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good partners For the hex set, toxic spikes can be really useful, for some good toxic spikes setters I recommend garbodor, weezing and maybe venipede/whirlipede if you're running hyper offense. Remember that rotom is also a spinblocker so your hazards will be there to stay. You can form a nice volt turn core with scyther or archeops if you're using a choice scarf. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How do you play against Jynx? Rotom is annoying, I like having one pursuit user like pawniard or sneasels in my team to deal with them. Though predicting is the best way to deal with it, scout what move it wants to lock itself in to and go to your check Mega audino completely shuts down rotom btw, but volt switch is annoying. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's it for today, thanks for reading.
  18. I'd say poison/psychic. It's normal abilities are rain dish and liquid ooze, maybe something like magic bounce or magic guard for hidden.
  19. Flygon won't give up until it gets a mega stone. Plz it needs to be a thing
  20. I always wondered how a ground mono would do against Flobot, good luck.
  21. Finally finished version 5 of pokemon rejuvenation, excellent job Jan, such a good game. Anyways, do we get a TM after beating Angie?

    1. Cepheus

      Cepheus

did you get the TM that was in her "Ice-Labyrinth"?

I think that is supposed to be her TM (Icy Wind if I'm not mistaken)

    2. krim

      krim

It was frost breath for me.

  22. Is there a npc that can change your pokemon's nature in pokemon rejuvenation? If it doesn't exist, will it be a thing in the future?

    1. Zumi

      Zumi

nope, it's not there yet. might be added later perhaps, but for now nope.

  23. Rhyperior? Wait, protector is finally avaliable?
  24. Good luck with the mystery egg, drilbur can be amazing for a ground mono.
