okay if you want to get rid of that field effect go back to the cave where that massive ice stone is in your way catch a spheal or seal (preferably spheal) evolve it to its maximum evolution and level it as much as you can ENSURE IT HAS BLIZZARD put your tankiest poke first then place your spheal/seal in the 2nd slot on its very first turn use blizzard on it , it will destroy the field effect and mean ninetails solarbeam will need to charge first giving you 2 turns to take it down before it destroys one of your poke's this is where you if you have em water poke's come into their own you can take her party out with surf with a good support just watch out for her 2nd ninetails its lv 74 and can be a real menace. take a couple cotton candies from the agate circus they can be handy in this battle well good luck

lol in my imagination i seen a chikorita dying with the trainer (yes i mean the very first of that poke) idk why but i always found leaf as weak and easily subdued and sorry i still continue to exclude leaf poke's from my party and i can easily get taken out by swampert (yes i realize thats a massive weakness XD)

switching of characters is something thats sorta new but ur gonna break pplz hearts you lose a starter so you have to really think about which starter to chose and think seriosly about the team you build around it because it will have to be suitable for your brother/sisters starter as i presume they wont have the same starter. Has potential but you need to fine tune the storyline.

gym leaders with mega's would be scary they can be hard enough to beat as it is they got their specialized fields imagine mega blaziken on Charlotte's field with its speed boost and the awesome STAB blaze kick could so easily sweep your whole team

i was actually gonna start a new save at 9 so i can get a few precious poke's that aren't available now although by the sounds of things this wont be happening if i cant get the DL im a person who doesnt mind starting over to get my precious poke's i need to be able to get close enough to my ideal team

i was about to suggest the same but using cheat engine can make you miss some vital dialog if your not carefull about when you use it hence why i only use it for grinding now. Unlike most pokemon games you really gotta pay attention to the characters dialog to get any further in the game.

Like Many of the others on here Nostalgia is a massive part of why i play pokemon hence why ive basically rejected the new gens and why i find it really hard to battle against newer gen poke's coz i dont know their types and abilities. sorry but im just not a fan of the newer gens(stubborn soz).
