  1. Fallon grimaced as a bolt from the sky took the reckless boy to his knees. Ballistae? Here? he thought. He had seen them before of course; they were a common danger....back then. But he never expected one to be set up inside a castle like this....the bolts could get caught on things so easily. Making a mental note of that, and keeping his eye on the higher levels, he grabbed a vulnerary from someone nearby while muttering something about "borrowing this". As he cleaned the wound, he heard a giggle and the nearest man exploded in an extravagant flash of light. Nodding in thanks to Naomi and standing back up he thought. She seems excited today. and then steadied his tome once again. S26, Take Kerrs vuln and use it on Argos
  2. Maneuvering around Rhian's fallen form to the other side of her, Fallon held out a vulnerary. He had known people like her before, and rather than taking the brunt of her anger by saying anything he just readied his tome again in his other hand. T27 Vuln Rhian
  3. "And you are...?" Fallon asked with his eye narrowing when the scholar fell in behind them. To tell the truth, he had no idea what the intentions were for having this guy follow, but another hand was another hand. As long as he didn't get himself killed. Without waiting for an answer he moved forward and let out another blast of energy at the oncoming foes. U26 Worm Myrm
  4. Fallon couldn't help but sigh seeing the boy hit the ground. This happens every time he tries one of those "special techniques", doesn't it? The reaction was just delayed in this instance. He really should talk to him about that....However, just as his mind was starting to wander back to when he did something like that a lot, Naomi went down too. "So much for dealing with them quickly and quietly, I guess." he thought as he took out a vulnerary. Y22, Vuln Naomi
  5. I'm kinda hoping that they give it Storm Drain or something at least. "Magcargo's body temperature is approximately 18,000 degrees F. Water is vaporized on contact. If this Pokémon is caught in the rain, the raindrops instantly turn into steam, cloaking the area in a thick fog." - Pokemon Sapphire dex entry Why does something twice as hot as the sun get destroyed by a light drizzle? It even says it turns into steam on contact which should make it immune at worst.
  6. Grimacing about his narrowly avoided shot, Fallon let loose another one at the soldier. "You aren't getting away this time." he said before looking back at Johanna. "Something like that." To tell the truth, he didn't know why he missed either. It looked like they would have been completely enveloped. AD18, Don't Miss Soldier 2
  7. Fallon couldn't help but laugh at how easily Naomi turned things around. That mage was by far the biggest threat so far, and making friends with her would lessen casualties significantly. He did wonder about the ears though. People like that...were a little far from home, to say the least, and she didn't seem trying to hide them. "Great Naomi!" was all he managed to get out before noticing a soldier nearby and sending a blast his way. AE17, Worm at Soldier 2
  8. Word of warning. Do not use Plant in All-Star Mode/Century Smash. Apparently it can corrupt save files.
  9. The brief respite from the fighting finally gave Fallon a chance to look at what he picked up earlier. Recognizing what it was from when he was on his own, he passed it to Kris as he walked by. "You can probably use this better than me." he said and thought for a moment, looking at the door up ahead. What was it she said she was doing before? "Maybe you can even liberate some 'cuties' with it." W14, trade Lockpick to Kris
  10. Make sure you're on Patch 3. It was a problem in the first two.
  11. "Of course they have siege magic. As if this place needed to get any worse." Fallon muttered as he took up his position and let loose another blast. T12, Worm Cav1
  12. The mon with the exp share will get more exp than the others Im not sure as to the exchange rate, but I tend to hit the level cap pretty quickly with all my mons when I have it on. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.
  13. Fallon's vision went dark as the shot of lightning knocked Ceridwen and her dragon to the ground with a sickening thud. In an instant, he was no longer on the battlefield. He was crawling out of the ravine in the Wastes, blind and broken, but alive through nothing more than sheer determination. The spirits that gave him his power were almost deafening with their madness, screaming that once again, he had failed. It would be better to just give himself over like they wanted...wouldn't it? He'd never have to see something like this again, would never have to die again, would never have to lose everything again... Then a man's sneering face appeared as if to mock him, it's red hair dangling almost close enough to touch. No. He couldn't give in now...there was still too much to be done. "Valentine." he muttered as he regained his vision. The closest person to him was heavily armored, and before he could stop himself, he ran towards the figure and delivered a much stronger blast of magic than he had before. "DIE!" was all he could think to say before he finally regained composure. Maybe Naomi was right and he was a crazy old man, he thought amusedly as the knight was completely enveloped. But was that really such a bad thing if it kept him going? T9, Flux Knight 2
  14. Fallon picked up and read the paper with renewed interest. This wasn't at all what he expected to find, but it made sense in context. He assumed Klaus was the general's son and he never had the chance to give it to him, but who was this Matthias it talked about? Someone that lost themselves to the darkness? Surely that would be a big deal in the political and magic circles if it was a relative of a semi-famous general, but he couldn't recall ever hearing that name before. Perhaps if he found this Klaus fellow he could ask about it...and maybe even get help with some other things, if he really was a practitioner of ancient magic. Tucking the note back into the Flux tome, he resolved to question Johanna about it next time she was free...assuming the other thing they had to talk about went well. He wasn't especially looking forward to that.
  15. "No, that's all. But thanks for your help." Fallon said as he walked off. He felt a little bad about not buying anything since the girl was nicer to him than he expected, but he didn't really need anything after getting the Flux tome from that general. Come to think of it, why did he have a tome? If he was a magic user he probably would have used it over the spear, let alone one whose power came from the ancients. It was strange to say the least, but thinking too much into it would get him nowhere. Sighing, he leaned against one of the nearby buildings and began to flip through it, searching for anything new to him.
  16. Didn't realize Patch 3 was out. Guess that would be the issue. Thanks! To answer your questions, this was started on Patch 1 and I picked Torchic for the starter normally.
  17. Similar to the Bulbasaur helpcenter quest on Terajuma not giving the reward (and thus locking me out of the reward for clearing all the Terajuma quests), the West Gearen help center's final reward is broken. I did the Hidden Library Quest 3 last if that helps any. I'm pretty sure the reward for clearing everything is supposed to be a starter egg, and the bulbasaur quest was supposed to give an egg too. So it might be getting eggs as rewards that causes the problem? Anyways it just gives me this dialogue and doesn't let me claim it. Edit: Just realized I posted this in the wrong thing. Can I request someone to move this to Troubleshooting please ?
  18. Making a mental note of the benefits to their method, Fallon thought over her question for a moment before responding."A scholar? I guess you could say that." It wasn't quite the way he'd describe himself, but it was true enough he supposed. That's probably how most people saw him. "Though right now being a member of the guard takes priority over my studies. It's more...something to work on in my downtime."
  19. Having the same issue. Im on the most recent patch too. Game.rxdata
  20. That made sense. If there wasn't a way to inscribe the runes, nobody could use them. But now he was left wondering what other methods people have figured out. If there were multiple, there had to be a most efficient or powerful practice, right? "Hmm. And where exactly do the pieces come from, if you don't mind me asking?" Fallon said curiously. It didn't seem like the village did much trading with how isolated it was, let alone from somewhere as far away as Foen. Then again, he never thought to ask the old man back there where they came from either. Looking back on it, he kind of regretted that.
  21. Fallon entered the village a little while after the others. The discussions the night before had left him with a raging headache, and the source of his power could become a little...aggravated...when killing outside of battle took place. He could usually keep it under control, but with everyone so on edge, he felt it best to confine himself to the woods just outside for the night. Not like he wasn't used to that. After making his way through the town and looking over each weapon stall, he stopped at the one selling tomes run by a girl that looked about Naomi's age. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about how these are made, would you?" he asked, thinking back to the book on runes he had finished just before the battle . He wasn't really expecting much magical theory in a village of warriors, but it couldn't hurt to ask.
