  1. Oh no, he can't. He's just that big.
  2. Currently on a Nuzlocke run. I have to nickname my pokemon.
  3. I'm currently testing LO Nidoking. It makes good use of the extra power but its speed does not allow it to work as intended. Do you think a change in mega for M-Garchomp would benefit the team? I made it with M-Camerupt in mind, but I'm not sure how well he fares.
  4. First LeafGreen Nuzlocke and already two deaths: Spearow and Mankey.

Can't say exactly because I left the program running while I did things here and there. It's 5 hours in at this very moment, right before Misty.

  5. Druddigon is very good for RU and even UU. It's a passive-aggressive sort of thing, but it has its uses. Perhaps an evo could open the way for an eviolite Druddigon, tossing Rocky Helmet and opening more options for it.
  6. Since you all got this fire gig going on, can I join once I get my mega? It won't take long! I'm expecting come Sun/Moon they'll give it to me. Any second now...
  7. Welcome to yet another RMT of mine! This time we are discussing Monotype! As you may know, OU Monotype is a tier in which all your pokemon must share a common type. Dual-typed pokemon are allowed, and almost anything can be used. Some exceptions include incredibly powerful pokemon that can break the metagame. However, certain Ubers are allowed in monotype. Enjoy the RMT. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Alright, usually Monotype team archetypes vary based on the type itself, as some types favor certain playstyles over others. Here we go for Ground, which is arguably one of the most versatile Monotypes and are working with Bulky Offense that has certain win conditions. It's mainly a brawl team in which some play the roles of the tanks and others try to get in there in opportune moments to sweep or at least deal with certain key threats your opponent may have. Without further delay, I shall introduce the members. Crocodile (Hippowdon) @ Leftovers Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD Impish Nature - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - Slack Off - Stone Edge Jack (Mamoswine) @ Choice Band Ability: Thick Fat EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Ice Shard - Earthquake - Knock Off - Icicle Crash Akainu (Camerupt-Mega) @ Cameruptite Ability: Sheer Force EVs: 248 HP / 192 SpA / 68 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Fire Blast - Earth Power - Ancient Power - Will-O-Wisp Pica (Nidoking) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Sheer Force EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Earth Power - Sludge Wave - Ice Beam - Thunderbolt Hack (Gastrodon) @ Leftovers Ability: Storm Drain EVs: 248 HP / 72 SpA / 188 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Toxic - Scald - Earth Power - Recover Daz Bones (Excadrill) @ Life Orb Ability: Sand Rush EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Swords Dance - Earthquake - Iron Head - Rock Slide So that's basically it. A big team, tested with members coming in and out, but it ended up with this. So, what do you say? Naturally every monotype team has room for improvement, and I'd love to see your suggestions. Check it and try it yourself. I'll be expecting your input for this one. If you haven't already, start monotyping! It's lots of fun and you learn how to use and respect certain underused pokemon more.
  8. A rather enjoyable random battle: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/randombattle-342098128
  9. Due to its appearance, it cannot be a non-steel type.
  10. Which monogen challenge should I do for Reborn?

We need a more "affordable" Fire/Steel type than Heatran tbh.

actully even with levitate rock fire is not as bad but not great either its further weak to rock and fighting 2 types heavily common types and its resistaances though a fair amount of them beside fire ice and fairy(fairy is mostly stab as aswell) the rest are very uncommon moves to run in to outside of stab or can be walled by better pokemon namely ghost and steel types the main reason i dont put this as good defensively is cause of 2 x4 weaknesses to common types and just being outclassed by...

    4. Exalted

      Exalted

many other defensive pokemon namely steel hybrid types

  12. If I'm not mistaken, mega stones are a relatively new artificial creation aimed to boost pokemon powers in a somewhat recent war. The XY universe is a parallel one to all that were introduced before, or so it hints.
  13. I'm not sure I follow. Rollout hits once each turn.
  14. The gaming section is infested with Jolteon. http://imgur.com/mCVtrwA

  15. I forgot those... This looks like the mischief pokemon. The eyes seem to be tied back like a thief's mask, the "god no" beak has a mouth printed on it, and it looks like it may not even be a flying type. Of course it is, and as it seems, if you do not change its type while it grows up (since this is probably a Normal/Flying becoming Dark/Flying) I will be seriously disappointed.
  16. Calm down. You took Ditto and gave it an uber (higher than mega) evolution. Similar to others here, you wanted to buff your pokemon. However, megas boost all stats bar HP, which means your creation was over the top as it didn't follow the rules of mega evolution and gave boosts to everything for a pokemon that can only learn transform, which is essentially its gimmick. You created the perfect Ditto based on the way you imagined it in your head, but the way this steps over the rules and boosts is similar to how sudden rises in power levels between villains in DBZ worked, hence the "over 9000" joke. To the point, if you ask me. There is no particular reason not to give Ditto Protean, since we can work around the lore and Ditto's pokedex entries to justify it. However, since it is considered a failed replica, it should share common traits with its predecessor. I would also ask a question. Since megas are man-made evolutions, why would a scientific group forge such an object for a pokemon that is considered a de facto failure? They already have increased the successful one's potential.
  17. We cannot see this picture. It's Normal/Flying. Primary types don't change. I need to see the pokemon to decide.
  18. That's disturbing. M-Ditto? Really now?
  19. When I took the SAT (about 5 years ago), it had 3 parts: Math, Grammar, Literature (Reading) You can easily ace in Math and Grammar, but Literature questions had a confusing wording, at least for a person who is not a native speaker. Then you can take the SAT-II, which have specific subjects, and are often asked (or considered a bonus) by the uni you'll apply to. I took Math I, Math II, and Science. I managed to 800/800 to all of them, so if you're inclinded towards those subjects, just remember to study a lot and practice. That's all there is to it.

      interesting idea, but...

well, it's like using something like Spinda in competitive. Yeah, it has the potential to fill a nice variety of roles, but there are just too many things that do it better and more reliably to ever justify using it.

We will use the needles again to patch up our lives.

  20. In light of the most recent Pokemon announcement, I cannot help but voice my thoughts. I'm about to say something controversial, but I think that it will spur some healthy debate: latex is a highly underutilized material. Case in point is the Air Balloon item. For too long this extraordinary device has been inappropriately used by neurotic, seismophobic "Trainers". Pretty pathetic. I mean, having Pokémon dodge a seemingly spontaneous 8.2 magnitude quake has got its upsides, but it's also a trite application of an otherwise versatile little tool. Think of the world that opens up when you've got Pokémon floating about in high places. That Super Repel you've been eyeballing atop that inconveniently placed ledge? It's yours. Just tie the Air Balloon around one of your Pokémon's torsos (careful, the yarn is pretty low-grade stuff) and let the retrieval begin. You've got latex technology, so you might as well use it. I would recommend attaching the Air Balloon to a Pokémon you aren't particularly emotionally attached to, as without proper precautions, your now-floating Pokémon may soon become a new resident of the cosmos. Always bring a Pokémon with an attacking move (me, I use a pretty nifty Stunfisk with Thunder Shock) to try to pop the Air Balloon before your Pokémon ascends to the mesosphere. I recommend using either Lunatone or Solrock for your Air Balloon fetching fun, as if they end up in space from your balloon-based antics, they will at least feel at home at their destination. You can't say the same for your space bound Electrike ("it has got ZERO weaknesses now," you said), who probably does not appreciate the oxygen-deprived nature of the solar system. Compassion is key.
  21. To prevent this from turning into a flame war again, I'd encourage you to continue the discussion in personal messages. As Jericho meme'd this is going in loops. The thread will lose interest with limited political discussion, but Rose is correct here, the roles of the Supreme Court are not connected to the original discussion. As for the Trump video, the elections have significance. People are not that naive or simpleminded to think decide on a whim. If that were correct, I'd suggest dropping every other notion and turn education free for all.
  22. Eviora appears quite rigid as well, and I am answering to her as well. I chose your post to quote since you seem to understand that the "edges" are not profitable to everyone, hence both liberals and conservatives need to be more flexible and go towards the centre. It has nothing to do with what my personal beliefs are. A phenomenon and its repercussions being predictable makes it easier to plan ahead and take measures in order to slow it down or even stop it. Naturally you will deal with imminent problems (or disasters) first, but you also keep your mind concentrated to what comes next. I am well aware of what the idea behind capitalist healthcare is, and at the beginning, it works just fine. The reason a full capitalistic plan is wary lies on its long-term establishment without legislation that allows new enterprizes to work (and make profit) alongside the big ones. This in turn will limit competition among the big ones who will raise the prices, when they see that they can, especially where patents are involved. In this way, poor people have a harder time dealing with health issues, with medical costs being extremely high, especially since the country's insurance policy does not cover part of the expenses (in comparison to what happens in Europe). Taking this thought a step further (and here I'd like your informing me of existing laws on the matter), reduced healthcare costs can be achieved by certain changes in the taxation system. As a flat tax is the most unfair form of taxation, adjusting the current into a progressive taxing system that obligates enterprizes and entepreneurs alike to provide their fair share to the government can be more profitable for the country than a high tax for all. By "fair share" I mean gradual tax increases that also bear in mind the benefits one may receive from disabilities, multiple children, company benefits etc. This way, the system stops tax evasions, makes the higher incomes pay more while still having their benefits (my aim is not to make everything flat), and at the same time allows the companies or entepreneurs to flourish in the free market. The only issue with such a system is that capital will no longer stack indefinitely. Of course I cannot provide you here the exact ways this will be applied since it will take too long and I am not an expert at this, so you may find several loopholes. However, such systems are already in place in the Scandinavian countries, and it appears to be profitable. I am not answering in Eviora's position, and I'm not to be held accountable for anything that someone I may or may not agree with says in this topic. I am stressing a matter I think it's of high importance and believe in avoiding collateral damage, at least as humanly possible. I set a goal and then try to explain and work together with you (with whom I may disagree on a lot) in order to achieve this, since it's common. Isn't that the greater purpose of an election? #voteforNickCrash2016
