@Amphibi and that's understandable, but that's more on the folks that act that way and do those things that it is an onneus on the holiday itself. Not every person uses Valentine's day as an excuse to act like that... l'm sure some do but it's indictive of their own characters... nobody else's.Why l don't think it's fair to hate the holiday.

Just cause some folks are meanspirited as such and act a fool, doesn't mean one has to throw it out. 

Don't let those people get to ya, or society. Be content with being yourself and what you're comfortable with. l'm not trying to discard your feeling here mind you, and l understand... but... at the same time, it's soemthing you are burdening yourself with that you don't need to. 

Valentine's Day is just another day after all, lt has as much or as little meaning as one wishes it to.

My rant looks kind of petty looking back at it. My previous message wasn't directed at anyone in particular, just at the idea that everyone should get married, an idea a lot of people hold and push on me. The second part was directed at couples who are super showy in public which relates to what the op was saying. I don't see how I contradicted myself but I'm sorry for derailing this status update.

ANd it's fine l understand where you're coming from. People often don't ever think that past what they want, what they desire or what they think is valuable. Many pressure folks into thinking that you're worthless without a relationship and 1. That's hardly true and 2. People need to realize that sometimes that's not what a person needs in the moment... or maybe in their life ever. 

l'd not say anything's really be derailed either so there's no need to apologize ye? And if it has l've much more apologizing to do than you so no worries~ XD
