Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Could you give any other argument for the others to consider it? ^^U So... Here we have to suppose that you were given the gun, or that you're the sheriff impersonating the doctor for whatever reason, or you're bluffing anyway. On the one hand, I would be inclined to believe that you are indeed the doctor. That's why I won't vote for you today, but perhaps we should follow a strategy. I understand that if we lose the doctor, our chances to revive dead people in the future are much slimmer. On the other hand, if you are saved from the lynching and you really are the Doctor, chances are that you're mafia's number 1 target right now, which leaves us two scenarios. The first one would be to save you, trust you and have some role trying to protect you (my role is pretty crappy so I can't do any of this sorry OTL). The second one would be to let you shoot some random player and wish for the best of luck. Nevertheless, I think that if you're not mafia, you can really pick up some clues that may point to some of them. It is not on me whether you're saved or not today, but if you don't convince them, at least you can try and guess a shot. Come to think of it, there is an early accusation with a claim to be founded. Kinda strange though... Just read carefully...- 425 replies

Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
You also said that you knew a time traveler... You can only be the Scientist, unless you're the Tracker and visited someone without night actions, so you assumed that because him/her visited no-one he/she was a time traveler? (A Journalist may also have been able to meet a time traveler but the journalist would know their alignment based on the messages, no?)- 425 replies

Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
The problem is that since we're not organised by definition, we cannot "use it correctly". Unless I miss something, I don't think it poses a threat to the mafia right now, so it wouldn't be a prioritary target such as doctors (and time travelers in general) or detectives. --- And I'd like to have a little bit of clarification (by anyone) on something, as it's my first mafia game: In the mafia, there is one assassin and several other roles. It says that if the assassin dies, the mafia can still kill. My question is: who, exactly? I mean, if there is no assassin, they just vote who they want to kill and one of them visits him/her? Or every member of the mafia can kill separately? (but only one can travel in time?). So there could be 4-6 murders by mafia every night?? o.o Because, I was wondering what you said, that a driver can make a mafia getting killed. That would imply a mafia visiting another mafia, no?- 425 replies

If Lykos is telling the truth, then the driver has actually not been involved in this mess. But it's still the only one who could solve it.- 425 replies

Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Yes, you're right, I've been a little bit redundant there. At the last moment I deleted a last sentence... in which I was saying that there's still another possibility which hasn't still been considered, and is perhaps the cleverest of all because it would blow the cover of at least 1 mafia straight away. But I deleted it for obvious reasons.- 425 replies

Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Well, if what you both say is true, we can conclude the following: - The Driver is the only one that really knows who's the mafia. - It is useless in terms of effectivenes that he/she stays hidden. If he/she did switch Dive with someone last night, the best he/she can do is tell us, in my opinion. The mafia will probably get rid of Lykos and Dive asap, since are the two biggest threats for them (one that revives the dead and another who knows their alignment). The driver, on the other hand, isn't much of a threat in the sense that yes, this time everything has been blown up, but I'm sure this does not happen often, and it's good for the mafia to keep a role that complicates the visits that much. If one or the two of them were lying, that would mean that the real doctor or/and detective are still there somewhere. In that case, my advise for them would be to lay low for now...- 425 replies

Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Well, there are three different roles that would allow you to make that claim, assuming it's true. What I don't understand is your logic when casting your first vote. Anyway, you probably won't be lynched today because everyone has switched their vote, but I'll keep mine as it is for now. I'd also like to hear how @Mafioso Divergent defends himself, though.- 425 replies

But... why not vote Dive without giving any particular reason, as many people did? Perhaps others would have jumped on the bandwagon. Idk perhaps I'm overlooking something but if you knew the identity of one mafia for sure, why risk and vote someone who might be town? I'm going against the tide, but I can still change my vote. For now, sorry... [Eliminate] LykosHand- 425 replies

Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Yes, I assumed that no-one would cheat by agreeing on a keyword with some one else beforehand, similarly that we all have to assume that "town" will not comunicate to each other with private messages. It's a matter of trust. But yes, ok, no problem, I'll stop doing that. Sorry. A question for @LykosHand: if you knew Divergent was mafia, why didn't you vote him as your first option?- 425 replies

I agree... having said that you know something big, @LykosHand, you're probably a target of the mafia already. I think you should say it. Some town roles can protect you, at least for one more night. --- I don't see how a cipher could break the game, as anyone can decode it. I would even consider it risky for me because someone from the mafia could try to fool me. But, if you all agree on that, I'll change my plans... Sorry for the inconvenience.- 425 replies

Why would you do that? ú_ù The only aim of writing a ciphered message was to establish a "private" channel of communication with someone... now it's pretty much useless... Well, whatever, I'll think of something else. Sorry if there was a typo.- 425 replies

Mafia: The Temporal Turmoil [Game over! Town wins!]
Alaris replied to Newt's topic in Reborn Mafia Club's General Mafia
Well, that was fast. I was wondering, since we are not enough people to cover all the roles, the government people are still 6? Because if they are, they constitute a very dangerous 1/3 of the population, as they can organise themselves for the lynchings. I still don't want to vote, I'd like to know what the rest of people has to say.- 425 replies

Yes, you have to use the books as a "stair"... anyway the Mirage Tower is actually another location!
-
That's not exactly true... HM's such as rock smash or cut make the game more tedious, not harder.

I agree with some of the comments above. Give yourself some time. At first, try not thinking about him by focusing on other activities: hobbies, working, whatever. Avoid checking his facebook/twitter/... In a year or two you will probably end up accepting the situation ("you" meaning not the conscious you who's writing this, but the one who still feels anxious because of him), probably remembering him with nostalgia and even acknowledge that you learnt many valuable stuff for your life thanks to that relationship. But don't focus on forgetting him; you won't be able to. Just learn to live with it. About the thing that you're not going to find love again... I don't believe it. And in some time you will see why
-
Are you referring to relationship values? If so, the next time, could you please say it with spoilers? That it because some players (me included) may not want to get such things spoiled since -I believe, I could be wrong- such parameters can't be normally consulted in the normal game. Thanks very much for understanding! About the theory of Cain's betrayal... I'm not sure. Well, to be honest, I don't think so. I'd rather think of Florinia as the betrayer (as discussed in other topics) due to certain foreseeing. But then again --who knows. It could even depend on the unraveling of the events of the path we're in.

Amaria is playing with Tania. I have behaved similarly in the past (and not past), much to my regret. She is very well aware that everything she does makes Titania feel more and more miserable. And a part of she does love that: Titania groveling to make her happy! It feels really good, having a person that pays full attention to you, no matter how radical or unstable you are. She thinks she knows Tania's weak spots, so she exploits them (especially, because Tania does love Amy, albeit not in a romantic way). The more effort Tania puts in coping with Amy's whims, the better she feels. But... on the other hand, there's another part of Amy's brain that really sees what's happening. She understands that Tania doesn't love her, and on top of that, Amy is just being deliberately overly-capricious and completely unjust to Tania. So then she hates herself. So, what happens when a part of your brain feels extremely hyped when you do something but another part feels really bad? First, you blame yourself. And the more you do it, the worse it gets. Then you get very selfish and completely ignore the feelings of others. I mean --if I'm going to feel bad no matter what I do (because I will keep doing that thing because I feel awesome), why the need to treat others well? I'll feel bad anyway. Screw them. To the point that you don't care very much about everyone's lives except for the one of the person you love... (not even yours, of course). And... that's how it happens. I don't know if Ame planned the situation with such a remarkable mastery of the psychologic nuances behind it, but my experience can perfectly fit that case. And that's why I love Reborn. As for the battle: I froze the field and then struggled my way through it. I tried to poison it before, but her pokemon would still benefit too much from it. I kinda recall that Cinccino and bulled seed did most of the work.

"if you suffer, i suffered first." I loved that bit hahahaha So the story will be forever branched... interesting. That's really cool! I'll have to start a new playthrough to explore the other path, though (I didn't need it for ep.17 since I was on Reshiram's, but I suppose that both routes will be getting content in ep.18). Well, thank you very much for the effort!!
